Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the man accused of posing as the Director-General of the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council and Presidential Economic Advisory Council, has denied any wrongdoing, insisting that Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, was aware of his appointment.

Adeyemi, who is facing allegations of impersonation and related offences, said the matter was already before the court and expressed confidence that the judicial process would clear his name.

Speaking during a telephone interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, he dismissed suggestions that he was evading justice.

“Not at all,” he said when asked if he was running away from the law.

He added that he was prepared to face the legal process, maintaining that the court would determine the truth.

“Definitely, if I am wrong, let the court of law do that; if I am right, let the court of law do the right thing. Since the matter is in the court, let the court of competent jurisdiction vindicate me because I am ready to clear my name.

“Let the court take its course. Since my lawyers are involved, everybody will follow us, they will monitor the whole thing. I have a letter of appointment. However, since the matter is in the court, I won’t be able to say much about it. I am on medication. I am a bit down, I am sick,” he said.

Responding to a question on whether he considered himself a criminal, Adeyemi replied, “No, I am not a criminal. However, the court will do justice to that.”

Asked whether Gbajabiamila had knowledge of his appointment, Adeyemi answered, “Yes.”

When further asked if he received confirmation of the appointment through the Chief of Staff’s office, he again responded, “Yes, let the court vindicate all those things.”

Addressing Nigerians, Adeyemi questioned the allegation that the agency was fictitious, arguing that he could not have operated publicly for years without official backing.

“I want Nigerians to know that, for one second, let us assume the agency does not exist, would I have the temerity, the audacity, to be going all over the country, meeting the heads of ministries, departments and agencies, if I knew that the agency did not exist?

“No Nigerian can dare do that. I could not have summoned the courage to be going from one place to another for almost three years. Nigeria is not a banana republic,” he said.

The Presidency had earlier dismissed Adeyemi’s claims, describing him as an impostor and insisting that neither the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council nor the Presidential Economic Advisory Council exists within the structure of the Federal Government.

It also stated that Adeyemi was never appointed by President Bola Tinubu and is currently facing criminal charges over alleged forgery, impersonation and the use of forged presidential documents.

I had an interview today that sparked an interesting conversation about career growth and employee retention.

The Senior HR Manager questioned why I hadn't stayed longer with my previous employers. Looking at my career journey, I spent 2 years with my first company, 1 year with my second, and I'm currently 9 months into my present role. All three positions have been directly related to the role I was being interviewed for, giving me over 3 years of relevant experience, while the job requirement specified 1–2+ years of experience.

The concern raised was that the company is looking for someone who has demonstrated longer tenure with previous employers and is likely to remain with them for many years.

While I understand that perspective, I couldn't help but reflect on the realities of the Nigerian job market. Many professionals make career moves when opportunities arise that offer better compensation, improved benefits, greater responsibilities, career advancement, or the chance to develop new skills. Such transitions are often driven by growth and ambition rather than a lack of commitment.

In my view, tenure is important, but so are the results delivered, the experience gained, and the value created in every role. A professional's impact should not be measured solely by the length of time spent in an organization, but also by the contributions made during that period.

For hiring managers and HR professionals, especially those recruiting in Nigeria, how much weight should be given to length of service versus career progression, skills acquired, and proven performance?

These Nigerian HR Managers dont really know what they are doing. You cant ask someone that kind of question when there are thousands of good questions to ask. You dont expect someone to remain under your employment when the salary you offer him is below his experience and expect him to remain under your employment. It's an individual decision whether or not to remain under an employer for more years or less and shouldn't be a subject of discussion during an interview. HR managers should do better. In my years of experience as a HR manager I never asked anyone that because it doesn't make sense. There should be room for progression and growth.

My honest prediction of the 2027 Elections
After Jan 16 voting, the results will look like this:
- Atiku will get first position - 35%
- Obi will get send position 30%
- Tinubu will be 3rd 25%
- All others will get 10%
None of the candidates will get the required spread, then a run-off will be called. That is where the North will take back power.
The South will lose to Atiku by 51% to Obi's 49%, because the North will unite under Atiku, while SW may likely vote Atiku to spite Obi at the rerun.

Note that this projection is premised on NDC uniting her forces. If NDC keeps fighting as they are now, the run-off will most likely be between Atiku and Tinubu. On that premise, either Atiku wins or Tinubu may be re-elected because the SE/SS will not vote at the reruns. Also, there will be voter apathy as many Nigerians will feel indifferent 😐.

It's hard to compress a lifetime into a few hours.

And this is what the movie hoped to achieve: capture the whole life journey of the legend into a few hours.

Hence it was fast paced. A few missing pieces that leaves you desiring to know more about Michael Jackson.

You do will not see his development properly. The character development was mostly empty.

One aspect I would have loved to see is his relationship. As a star Micheal probably have more female admirers than anyone else.

How did he deal with those fans? We saw very little except for a girl, who was not actually his girlfriend.

Also you'll almost learn nothing new from the movie about Michael Jackson. Which begs the question, why create a biopic at all?

But something that really stood out to me most is the portrayal of Micheal Jackson's father.

He played a very central role in the movie and no doubt in Micheal Jackson's life and career.

And so I really do not understand why they tried to paint him as this cold and almost devilish figure.

At some point, his father figure role was almost designed to make you hate him and only love the mother.

But I don't think he is the villain of this story but instead a hero.

He was a mere factory worker and wanted his children to end up better than him.

"if you do not work hard, there's every guarantee that you'll end up right here in this small town as a factory worker. Now would you want that?"

He pushed the kids to be good at something. Not many fathers can see their kids and see the future ahead.

More so, actually push them to fly when the odds are stacked against them.

How a steel factory worker trained 5 boys to become the greatest music bands ever showed someone who deeply cared about his children more than a strict and wicked father.

Of course he could have pampered them like the mother and let them go to school, then join one of the boys in the hood and become nothing.

And it's so sad that towards the end of the movie, they try to portray him as the villain when everyone suddenly turned on him simply because they are now rich.

I mean, he built everything from the ground up. Mr Jackson not only gave the world micheal Jackson, he did the job of moulding him, shaping him up and developing his talent.

And worst still, every night when other fathers are too tired from work, he gathers the boys to practice.

That's not hate. That's tough love.

Another thing I love is the young man who played micheal Jackson. While you can clearly see the mimics in his moves, I think he did very well.

Overall, I think it's a good movie, worth watching but you'll learn nothing new from it.

And that's another angle, it tells you nothing new about the legend.

As a biopic we expect to see the legend in a different light, see aspects of his journey probably gathered from family members and close associates.

But the movie is more or less based on publicly available info. It's like watching what you already know.

There's absolutely nothing to learn new from the movie if you already read a few articles about the singer before.

Much time was spent rather on the making of his music videos such as thriller, beat it and wanna be Startin something.

In this regard, the movie actually lack substance.

There are so many direction this could have gone. I wonder why the dynamic between his father becomes the central role of the movie.

I'm not buying it that his father is bad or terrible.

Any human will be happy to have such a father who not only see them as other kids but as stars.

But not only see them as stars. That's the easier part and every father and mother think their kids are special.

But how many actually take the extra step to put that belief into work? How many fathers today will buy music instruments from their "factory" labor salary, come back from work and make their kids practice even when tired and exhausted?

How many will take their kids around town to book them for gigs, stay up while they play and look for ways to improve them?

Yes, he did beat them. But beating is not killing them. Little discipline goes a long way.

And I think this is a central role to almost any great person in history.

Serena Williams father was also strict with his children in their biopic. And like Micheal Jackson's father, he took his girls to practice regularly even when they don't want to.

He book their games as well finding as many opportunities for them as he could so they can shine.

Sorry Hollywood, but I'm not buying the idea that Jackson was a terrible father to his kids.

Your opinion doesn't count at all. Focus on your own family. Una go dey online dey review wetin una no know. If they said he was a bad father, who are you to counter that? You can never know whether a man was a good father or not until you were raised under the parental control of such a man.
