madridguy: The writer should tell us what killed his deputy governor.
I used to think you are intelligent until I carefully went through some of your posts. This comment is an addition. Kudos to you for being so ignorant yet bitter. For your information Obi never had any deputy named Chudi Nwike choi! This one weak me. Nairaland celebrity

Host78: Because your opinion has never mattered in anything doesn't mean the same thing for everyone.
I'm so important they made a movie for me to watch.
My opinion mattered because you and a thousand others just read it and are responding to it.
It's not my fault if you have been so low to think that anything handed to you, you must receive it without countering it or offering your opinion.
I was not brought up that way and I don't live that way. If you want to treated like a dog all your life being put on a leash and handed crumbs that falls from the table because you think you don't matter, that's all on you.
But never make the mistake of thinking we are all in the same group of people who don't matter and should accept whatever is handed to them.
helinues: So I saw a video of this guy six must show when he was in UK. He was cooking and tasting the food to probably measured the salt in the food.
I was like hmmmm, that thing is actually very common, I don't. I measure the salt with instincts whenever I am cooking. It's very rare for the salt not to be enough or over excess ( Salty)
Do you taste your food when cooking?
He created a topic such as this and then moved it to the front page with his goons. A man with a questionable character.
Validated: My honest prediction of the 2027 Elections After Jan 16 voting, the results will look like this: - Atiku will get first position - 35% - Obi will get send position 30% - Tinubu will be 3rd 25% - All others will get 10% None of the candidates will get the required spread, then a run-off will be called. That is where the North will take back power. The South will lose to Atiku by 51% to Obi's 49%, because the North will unite under Atiku, while SW may likely vote Atiku to spite Obi at the rerun.
Note that this projection is premised on NDC uniting her forces. If NDC keeps fighting as they are now, the run-off will most likely be between Atiku and Tinubu. On that premise, either Atiku wins or Tinubu may be re-elected because the SE/SS will not vote at the reruns. Also, there will be voter apathy as many Nigerians will feel indifferent 😐. Let's have your honest and sincere thoughts, not party or sentiments.
They have already rigged 2027 elections. They are just waiting to announce the results.
Host78: It's hard to compress a lifetime into a few hours.
And this is what the movie hoped to achieve: capture the whole life journey of the legend into a few hours.
Hence it was fast paced. A few missing pieces that leaves you desiring to know more about Michael Jackson.
You do will not see his development properly. The character development was mostly empty.
One aspect I would have loved to see is his relationship. As a star Micheal probably have more female admirers than anyone else.
How did he deal with those fans? We saw very little except for a girl, who was not actually his girlfriend.
Also you'll almost learn nothing new from the movie about Michael Jackson. Which begs the question, why create a biopic at all?
But something that really stood out to me most is the portrayal of Micheal Jackson's father.
He played a very central role in the movie and no doubt in Micheal Jackson's life and career.
And so I really do not understand why they tried to paint him as this cold and almost devilish figure.
At some point, his father figure role was almost designed to make you hate him and only love the mother.
But I don't think he is the villain of this story but instead a hero.
He was a mere factory worker and wanted his children to end up better than him.
"if you do not work hard, there's every guarantee that you'll end up right here in this small town as a factory worker. Now would you want that?"
He pushed the kids to be good at something. Not many fathers can see their kids and see the future ahead.
More so, actually push them to fly when the odds are stacked against them.
How a steel factory worker trained 5 boys to become the greatest music bands ever showed someone who deeply cared about his children more than a strict and wicked father.
Of course he could have pampered them like the mother and let them go to school, then join one of the boys in the hood and become nothing.
And it's so sad that towards the end of the movie, they try to portray him as the villain when everyone suddenly turned on him simply because they are now rich.
I mean, he built everything from the ground up. Mr Jackson not only gave the world micheal Jackson, he did the job of moulding him, shaping him up and developing his talent.
And worst still, every night when other fathers are too tired from work, he gathers the boys to practice.
That's not hate. That's tough love.
Another thing I love is the young man who played micheal Jackson. While you can clearly see the mimics in his moves, I think he did very well.
Overall, I think it's a good movie, worth watching but you'll learn nothing new from it.
And that's another angle, it tells you nothing new about the legend.
As a biopic we expect to see the legend in a different light, see aspects of his journey probably gathered from family members and close associates.
But the movie is more or less based on publicly available info. It's like watching what you already know.
There's absolutely nothing to learn new from the movie if you already read a few articles about the singer before.
Much time was spent rather on the making of his music videos such as thriller, beat it and wanna be Startin something.
In this regard, the movie actually lack substance.
There are so many direction this could have gone. I wonder why the dynamic between his father becomes the central role of the movie.
I'm not buying it that his father is bad or terrible.
Any human will be happy to have such a father who not only see them as other kids but as stars.
But not only see them as stars. That's the easier part and every father and mother think their kids are special.
But how many actually take the extra step to put that belief into work? How many fathers today will buy music instruments from their "factory" labor salary, come back from work and make their kids practice even when tired and exhausted?
How many will take their kids around town to book them for gigs, stay up while they play and look for ways to improve them?
Yes, he did beat them. But beating is not killing them. Little discipline goes a long way.
And I think this is a central role to almost any great person in history.
Serena Williams father was also strict with his children in their biopic. And like Micheal Jackson's father, he took his girls to practice regularly even when they don't want to.
He book their games as well finding as many opportunities for them as he could so they can shine.
Sorry Hollywood, but I'm not buying the idea that Jackson was a terrible father to his kids.
Your opinion doesn't count at all. Focus on your own family. Una go dey online dey review wetin una no know. If they said he was a bad father, who are you to counter that? You can never know whether a man was a good father or not until you were raised under the parental control of such a man.
Kunle28: One day, for sure; The phones will ring, the messages will be sent, and the hearts will ache. That day; the news of your death will spread, just as you received that of others.
Your family and associates will gather, Your friends and colleagues will wonder; because tomorrow you will not be at the meeting nor at your desk. Your name will change to that of 'The corpse',your children will look as you are wrapped in a cloth.
Your new home will be dug, and your belongings will be sought. Your pictures will be shared and your memories recalled.
Your wives; 'widows', your children; 'orphans'. Those are titles, you thought were for others.
Those you love; will lay you into the earth. Those you cherish, will pass the mud. With their very own hands, they will push and cover you aground. Then they will leave and continue their rounds.
It may be now, it may be later; but surely, this day, we will all encounter...
Yes but at a ripe age of 110 years. Those who know their God and are in covenant with God for a long life shall have it.

They should decentralise the military as well. Let’s know where our problem is coming from. Each state should have its own military service to prevent this current sabotage going on in Nigeria. We need to hit these terrorists and bandits hard.
Gotocourt: I guess you've also read that thread of a lady complaining for almost two years, what's your take on that . Moreover, was the money refunded to central bank abi shareholders or board squandered it😕.
I followed that as well and there are two things involved; either a case of malpractice going on in Access bank or a mistake from the account officer handling that transaction. These things happen and sometimes it doesn't mean there is fraud going on. It's a human thing and there must be mistakes and that is why you as an account owner you must monitor your transactions using your BA and i guess she wouldn't have noticed if she never momitored her transactions whatever happens afterwards dependson how she handles it. In the past, i have been paid double of my salary in a month due to an error from the account officer and someone was also short paid. These are errors and when noticed should be reported immediately.
wirinet: Nigerians would justify judas iscariots if there is something to gain from supporting him. What does it matter if he complained 3 days or 3 years after a failed transaction, is it not his hard earned money? What if he travelled, had an accident or became unavailable after the transaction? So the bank should chop his money because he did not report immediately.
With this crooked mindset of Nigerian, the country can never progress, not even in a thousand years.
Stop sounding like you know it all while you know nothing. There are humans working in that band who are saddled with responsibilities of a daily basis, if you know how the banking system operates you won't come here with this ignorance trying to justify something which should have been handled with wisdom. There is nothing like the crooked mindset of Nigeria. Stop displaying your ignorance all in the name of painting a particular bank in a bad light. Own up to your faults and handle issues reasonably. You raised the issue of what if he travelled. Well, I know how many Nigerian bank related issues I have handled despite being in the UK and operating a Nigerian bank account I can list out to you even the more difficult ones, sometimes I had to send siblings to the bank to speak with customer services because of some of these transactions and not something as petty as reporting a failed bank transaction that ought to be reported almost immediately and from anywhere and then you come online to blame a bank without taking the burk of the blame? Common, you guys should stop being mean and work on your ideologies. Dragging Nigeria banking system into it is a total turn off work on yourself bro and stop being bitter.
Gotocourt: How can a bank bluntly tell me my money can't be given back. Just because I complained three months after failed transaction. Wigwe went to hell with my money. Do you know how many dead peoples money is in the banking system that families have given up😕.
You complained 3 months after? Did you listen to yourself? And you are blaming the dead man. Who goes to the bank to complain about a failed transaction 3 months after? Even 1 week is dangerous. Have you read the policy of the bank with regards to failed transactions? You people shouldn't blame banks all the time. Do the best you can too.

adenigga: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially inaugurated Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe as Minister of Power and Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
The ceremony was held on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja and was attended by family members of the appointees, cabinet members and other top government officials.
The appointments followed vacancies created by the exit of former Power Minister, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and former Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar, both of whom resigned to pursue governorship ambitions in their respective states.
Following their nomination by President Tinubu, Tegbe and Enikanolaiye were screened and confirmed by the Senate on May 6, 2026.
Tegbe, a native of Ibadan in Oyo State, is widely known for his work in economic, fiscal and institutional reforms. He brings more than three decades of experience from both the public and private sectors, with a strong background in policy execution and stakeholder management.
Enikanolaiye, from Igbagun in Kogi State, graduated with a First Class degree in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he emerged as the best graduating student in his faculty and earned the Dean’s Prize.
He later obtained a Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, graduating with distinction.
A seasoned diplomat, Enikanolaiye has represented Nigeria in several countries, serving in diplomatic missions in Ethiopia, Serbia, Canada and the United Kingdom.
His most recent overseas assignment was as Nigeria’s Head of Mission in New Delhi, India.
Before joining the Federal Executive Council, he served as Senior Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Foreign Affairs and International Relations in the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President.
OkCornel: I guess UK & US citizens are rushing Nigerian passport now.
Excellent analysis 🙄
The guy later ran to the UK to acquire more education and probably still lives there. Each time he's posting on LinkedIn, he has forgotten this post he made some yes ago. One day I will remind him of the need to go back to Nigeria which is now a safe haven and leave the UK alone. He's still campaigning for APC in Osun State neither has he for one day condemned what's happening in Nigeria. A man who is supposed to be enlightened. The problem with Nigeria is "Men who benefit from the system do not speak against it" they only do so if it doesn't favour them.
After one or two weeks you guys are gonna see how INEC will twist the story and then deny their server was accessed unauthorised by Lere. You’ll be amazed that they aren’t carrying out any investigation rather, they are taking their time to cook up a story for the public and it will end afterwards.
They will not say the truth till the day they start fighting then you'll know that OK chinda did not follow due process. The level of unlawfullness in Nigeria is alarming. Since Tinubu is in support of Chinda whatever he does is right.
Birds of a feather. Na the man wey them talk say Dey fight corruption be this Abi Drug lord with him thief thief partner. Evil men in light colored Senator.
