Hmm

Bad news for Lagos really.

Good news for Lagos would be the UK receiving the first cargo of made in Lagos cars, phones, PC, tablets, etc.

Oil is a ''useless'' commodity. It only makes economies flabby and lazy.

Same goes for every other oil producer in Nigeria.

Am off to work.
You are right. We would try not to be caught in that macabre web...

Treat the people with love kindness and see how much you will win their trust.
Only if they can do it.Igbos, especially IPOB are building up a castle of hatred for themselves from other tribes that it is going to take a while to wipe off Build bridges positively, no covetousness, you would win hearts. You are a great people.I remember my friends in Birch Freeman and Unilag and sigh....
Just 2010 to now.....lol...how human changes.
Maybe the media should not publish anything hate-related again.I registered specifically to defend my peeps when I saw the amount of hate being peddled against SW.Now it is an eye for an eye...

I sincerely think likewise....but will the prophet exorcise the greedy and covetous spirit inherent in some or even most of them.I remember what I read about the first coup in Nigeria, what I read about Azikiwe almost clinching the Western part of Nigeria, what my elderly Akwa Ibom 'friend'always says when he calls me to discuss about current...no...old affairs(just before yesterday he was telling me that they don't sell land to the Igbos anymore because of their behaviour and what they went through in their hands especially when Zik was the emperor after Balewa...sometimes I get bored, you know...repeating the same thing everytime...)I remember ....I remember....and then I remember the Yoruba SW 'no man's land'....lol
Iheme should exorcise that spirit or you give them Biafra....

NO SIR,IT IS VERY MUCH INDIGENOUS...AND THE JOYFUL THING IS THAT THEY HAVE BEEN SELLING TO THE WORLD WITHOUT MAKING NOISE.OPEN THE LINK AND READ.

....And the reason we founded the company, like I said, was the high level of insecurity in the country and all over the world.

Why did you prefer manufacturing to importing?

I have passion for innovation. As an engineer, I do not believe that trading is the way forward. Engineers believe that trading does not build the economy of any country; it is through innovative manufacturing and application of the latest technology. Manufacturing is the heartbeat of any economy; without manufacturing, the economy will be stagnant and may collapse under global market pressures. Trading is just a short-term engagement; manufacturing is long-term.

You can imagine the amount of joy you have when you see your products in other countries all over the world. It enhances Nigeria’s good image all over the world.

And Ogbunigwe was not a product of Igbo ingenuity; it was a “bespectacled” American mercenary from Massachussets Institute of Technology, uncovered by the Irish journalist Donal Musgrave ,that was secretly training Biafrans on how to use fertilisers to make bombs (cf 13 August 1968 cable from American Embassy in Dublin to the one in the Lagos).

May God help us form the hands of these fraudulent people. They might just dump this girl in an unknown location and run away, after finished collecting money from people.
There is one particular guy on NL here that boasted that Igbos do not beg for alms and I just laugh at his ignorance. It was taboo in Yorubaland to beg but what is happening now?If you live around Orile you will know that those people and the girl have been doing this for more than a year now. There is one other girl that has a chunk of flabby meat covering the other side of her face that they use at times. The day I was near to them and heard them speaking Igbo is the day I knew that it is all bizness for them. There are some that usually hold themselves in group of fives or more totally blind of course been led by somebody, all singing in Igbo language and begging for alms...mostly around Orile bus stop....around the police station have I seen them severally.Sign of hard times if I may say.....

The Yoruba are a great tribe with many talented people in every sector, including the technological sector. However, this in no way negates the innovative and industrious nature of the Igbos. There's no shame in admitting that a particular region or tribe dominates a certain field; it doesn't make them any better or any worse than any other ethnic group. I truly believe that if Nigeria divides then we'll be able to see the best of the Yoruba and Igbo ethnic groups. The current format is not working...
They have done that before and Yorubas were still up there During regional system,Yorubas were too much and even lent the Igbos together with Nigeria, money two times...it was this rapid development that Ironsi and indeed Nigeria saw that they halted this phenomenal growth of the Yorubas with unitary system of govt which is now killing everybody.Dem think say na we dem do but everybody come dey cry now...

I guess we have. Other tribes have a good number of IT professionals tho.

I am not saying other ethnic groups don't have a representation at all.
But in my opinion, Yorubas who supposedly make up 21% of Nigeria, make up probably 70% of Nigeria's new generation of aspiring ICT technocrats...

Go and read it here...the links.. and find out more on google....

EVEN WHITE PEOPLE ATTESTED TO THE HIGH INTELLIGENCE OF YORUBAS:
.
“But the British were not treated as gods by the Yoruba. In my experience, the Yoruba regarded themselves as superior to the British and one only had to read a book written by Awolowo, the Western leader, to know why. The Yoruba were often highly intelligent and they taunted the British with sending inferior people to Nigeria. The Igbo would be humble and avert his eyes in the presence of a European. The Yoruba child would look at an important European and shout, ‘Hello, white man,’ as if he were a freak

@ibe123
Yorubas are far more developed than Igbos and far more intelligent. If you say you are good, you give reasons and not propaganda and we will attest to the facts enumerated.
Let us compare...
Before colonialism:
Yorubas built empires like Britain,Rome etc up to Dahomey,Ghana and Togo while Igbos were very primitive during this period and practising great primitivities that you are conversant with.
2.Yorubas were civilized and living in organised environment, used higher materials for building e.g what you call brown roof now as against palm tree leaves been used by Igbos.
3.Yorubas were never naked or half naked as against Igbos who were still half naked as near as1921...you can visit wikipedia and see pix of some of their women in 1921.
There are still more but let me go to when each region was controlling its destinies..
1.Yorubas were first in everything development-wise..
2.They built the first skyscraper in tropical Africa.
3.First Olympic swimning pool.
4.First Television in tropical Africa.
5.First newspaper etc
Had many firsts in almost everything and still having it till date.

20th and 21st centuries till date..
1.Yoruba has 2 Nobel Laureates Igbos have none.
2.Yoruba has several youngest phd holders in Nigeria and in the world Igbos have none
3.Yorubas have more than 10 gramny awards in their kitty from a couple of Yorubas.Igbos have none.
Yorubas are the only ones who have repeatedly broken the records of universities and polytechnics home and abroad by taking 5.0 and 4.0 CGP respectively.THE FUNNY THING IS IGBOS HAVE NONE.
Yoruba even controls 70% of the ICT world in Nigeria. As we speak,SW is the 3rd economy in Africa
The list is endless.
Anybody that says Igbos are anything near the Yorubas should compare and contrast...
NOW A TRIBE LIKE YORUBA SHOULD BE THE ONE BEATING THEIR CHESTS THAT THEY ARE BRILLIANT THAN ALL BLACKS BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT SEEN ANY BLACK TRIBE WITH THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS
BUT WE KNOW GOD HAS CREATED EVERYBODY AND EVERY TRIBE TO BE GREAT IN THEIR OWN RIGHT.
WE ARE ALL GREAT IN THE DIFFERENT FIELDS GOD HAS ENDOWED US WITH....

I as a Yoruba, am seriously hurt that ibos are still being forced to be Nigerians. It's my utmost desire that they have their wish. The development in the west here is not oil money but Cocoa money from our great fathers. We Yorubas had our structures, culture, arts, music and trade and etc systems in place before the white man came to force us into a marriage of force.

I read that the ibos were refining crude oil. They had it, we didn't have crude oil. Would we have refined what we didn't have? Of course we had palm kernel and other plants! And we were processing what we had. Some 'omo o ri ru e ri' should not come here and speak baldadash. We are peace-loving people and live with other people peacefully.

Moreover, we never ever had anything to prove to anybody. It is however in their process of trying to prove what is not that many of them involve themselves indrug trafficking business that makes them to end up in death rows in other countries.
lol...there is no way they won't pull Yoruba into their mad dance as if we were born together. With all their mouth which is a DNA thing,Yoruba that they like to hate because they have seen that Yorubas have always been ahead of them even when Zik was manipulating things in their favour,God brought Yoruba up to their rightful place. We were separated before colonialism...Yorubas were more developed.During colonialism,Yorubas were more developed. After colonialism,Yorubas were more developed till date.Everything depends on God.

It is a very good write up by Mr Reno on one hand saying thank you to our Igbo brethrens for standing gidigba with Ex-President Jonathan and on the other hand almost saying the truth.I was telling somebody that if Ijaw,Hausa,Idoma,Egun or any other people had found themselves in a war position at that point in time, they would have done things we consider technological especially with the help of white mercenaries that came in to execute the war with them. One thing we must ask ourselves is why could'nt they show at least this tech skills before the war and even after the war.The simple truth is these things though some were exagerated were done with the help of the white mercenaries. The Ogbunigwe is a simple weapon which any science student like me can do...according to the Igbo prof behind it.But I give kudos to the man at that point in time...reading up....and using what he learnt in school to torment the Nigerian side.If it were Yoruba,we would have done more than what the Igbos did because if you go through the Yoruba history, you would see we had always been a couple of steps better than the Igbos even during the regional system of government in which we saw the ingenuity of each region,Yoruba came tops even in this civil period without mincing words,Yoruba controls 70% of the ICT world in Nigeria...if you talk about manufacturing of vehicles,Yoruba has PROFORCE in Ogun state selling to Africa and the world at large even without the help of the govt as Innoson Motors got massively from GEJ which is all good by the way.Visit that link below and know how Igbos lie and exagerate things out of its proportion.I am saying all these because of what xharder whom I know is Ikechu1,Ikengawo,Onenaira etc...he has this grudge with yorubas who are million miles ahead of his tribe then and now no matter what anybody says...the facts are there to be perused ...the underlying factor is that necessity is the mother of invention. The wise are instructed by reason, average minds by experience, the stupid by necessity and the brute by instinct. Nothing is more active than thought, for it travels over the universe, and nothing is stronger than necessity for all must submit to it....

And again, he only writes short stories.

I think, all his life, he manage to write only one novel talking of which is ake; others are dramas that are easy to build.
You can hardly find his work that is up to 200 pages while other nobel laureates like Toni Morrison and William Golding have wonderful works that are up to 400pages and above.
