Igbos have never been higher in population than the Yoruba's since the 1960s. Blame the Biafra war for that.

It should even be made clear that the south east is the most densely populated region in Nigeria. Even if it is filled with a largely diverse % of every ethnic group. It is still Yorubaland, either intermarrying or a sky rocketing increase in the Yoruba population amongst other groups, it is a direct link with the region's development compared to other regions

Moreso,even d 2006 census questioniare didn't provide room 4 ethnic/religious background/affiliation.

So i gues ur dreamy 2014 census was probably conducted in south west states only for u 2 arrive at dis conclution.

why are you outraged or dumb-founded by these statistics. You are acting even more than bias, you just sound so delusional, what is the big deal anyway Census can be taken at later times after 2006 and from other organizations, it is population info that should be updated within 5 years.

African Americans have to literally change their mentality to contribute any positivity if they choose to migrate to an African country. If its worth the commitment or not. If they individually choose to migrate, then its perfectly fine, WEB Dubois is a perfect example.
But its not a primary result compared to the mass migration of African Americans that migrated to Liberia and basically f****d up the social and political atmosphere of that country.

They have reached the same percentage as the Hauses (who have long been the majority), in just under 5 years.

[2014- Hausa 21%, Yoruba 21%, Igbo 18%, Fulani 11%, Others minor groups >28% ]

Yorubas will have the largest ethnic group in the country (within ~10+ years)

Right now Nigeria is much better politically & economically compared to abt 40 years ago. And Ethiopia has never been colonized, but it has been isolated from the rest of the world, so things will change slowly.

Everything takes time. Many African countries only got independence 50 years ago. But places like America have been independent for hundreds of years. So don't think Africa has lost, when we have the richest resources in the world.
There will be a change. Love yourself, Love being Ethiopian, And be curious about other African cultures, don't be negative like other africans, Dream big my sister. God Bless

no its still very rare on this site, we talk about a lot of other things in Nairaland, but majority of these hateful posts about Horners are by non-nigerians.

You can stay on this site and discuss other things if you want to, because Most Nigerians on here are interested in other african cultures, but we don't like people coming here and saying hateful things because we will argue back more ruthlessly, Nigerians are more proud than other africans because we are growing faster than others for now.
