Let me share a fascinating story about the incredible woman of God, Kathryn Kuhlman. Her ministry left an indelible mark on the world, with miraculous healings and God's presence radiating through her. Kathryn Kuhlman, a renowned Evangelist from the 1940s to the 1970s, touched the lives of millions worldwide.

Born on May 9, 1907, Kathryn Kuhlman's ministry extended beyond the pulpit. Her messages reached over 50 radio stations, and her presence graced more than 60 television stations, making her an iconic figure in her time.

As her health declined, Kathryn faced a grave heart condition, requiring open-heart surgery. She was admitted to Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma, on December 26, 1975. The renowned Evangelist Oral Roberts and his wife Evelyn came to pray for her recovery. However, Kathryn had a different plan. She gestured toward Heaven, expressing her desire to go home and be with the Lord.

An extraordinary event unfolded on February 20, 1976, the day she passed away. At 8:20 p.m., something remarkable occurred. Witnesses recounted that the Holy Spirit descended upon her, and her face began to radiate with an inexplicable glow. The nurse in attendance noticed an encompassing brilliance that filled the room, ushering in an indescribable peace.

Kathryn Kuhlman had entrusted the leadership of her ministry to Tink Wilkerson before the open-heart surgery, perhaps with a premonition of her impending transition.

As she departed to be with Jesus, the power of God reverberated throughout the 800-bed hospital. Her organs were failing, but her heart, the one expected to show an 'irregular' pattern and eventually flatline, remained steady. In a flash, she was gone.

The last nurse to see Kathryn Kuhlman alive had documented her final request: "I shall die on February 20th at 1:13 am. Please have only roses at my funeral."

Within 15 minutes of her passing, a new nurse, on her first day on the job, entered the room and was astounded. Kathryn Kuhlman's body was neither cold nor warm; it was strangely warm. The air was saturated with the fragrance of roses, overwhelming the senses.

The Head Nurse from the ICU came to record the time of her passing. As they read Kathryn Kuhlman's last request, they were stunned to see that she had predicted the precise day and hour of her departure. Her final words, "Love, Love. Love. Love Jesus," became her eternal testimony.

Both the new nurse and the ICU Head Nurse, who were non-believers at the time, were deeply moved. The young nurse, overcome with emotion, gave her life to Jesus, experiencing a profound transformation.

Kathryn Kuhlman's funeral was adorned with countless earthly roses, but in Heaven, she heard the voice of her first love, Jesus, welcoming her Home. Face to face with the Lover of her soul, she embarked on her eternal journey.

Evangelist Oral Roberts presided over her funeral in California, United States, an experience that surely affirmed Kathryn Kuhlman's place in Heaven.

As we reflect on this extraordinary encounter, we pray that, like Kathryn Kuhlman, we may hear Jesus say to us one day, "Well done, my good and faithful servant! Enter with joy and receive all that I've prepared for you, even before the foundation of the world." Amen.

Instead, this king, practically a demon in human form, granted Apostle Ayo Babalola a piece of land that was forbidden and feared by all - the dreaded forbidden bush. It was a place where no one dared to tread. It was where the deceased pregnant women were discarded, where those with familiar spirits met their final rest. None who ventured there survived beyond 24 hours.

Apostle Ayo Babalola, undeterred by the king's malicious intent, expressed his profound gratitude for this peculiar gift. The king, bewildered, watched as the man of God departed with his team.

As they arrived at the forbidden bush, Apostle Babalola initiated a powerful prayer. With a voice that could reach thousands without the aid of microphones, he cried out, "O God, arise and let Your enemies in this bush be scattered!" It was a simple yet fervent plea.

What happened next was nothing short of a divine spectacle. The ground trembled as unseen forces clashed and a cacophony of panicked footsteps echoed through the bush. People collided, fell, rose, and hid, but no one was visible. The enemies within the bush were sent into confusion and disarray.

After some time, a calm settled over the area, and Apostle Ayo Babalola instructed his team to begin clearing the bush. As they went about their work, they noticed a massive python descending from the mountains. This was no ordinary serpent; it could swallow a human whole without a trace.

Yet, Apostle Ayo Babalola remained unshaken. He ordered his companions to stand their ground. As the colossal serpent approached him, he simply said, "Let the fire of the God of Elijah fall upon this serpent." It was as if an electric shock passed through the serpent, and it instantly withered away.

The snake, an emblem of fear, had been defeated by faith. Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola's unwavering belief in the power of God had transformed the dreaded forbidden bush into a sanctuary of light.

Let me share a remarkable story about Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, the founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. This great man of God, Rev. Josiah O. Akindayomi, was quite unique. You see, there was a time when he actually died but then came back to life. Now, that's quite something, right? But there's more to this story than just the miraculous return to life; there's a valuable lesson we can all learn from it. So, grab a seat, and let's dive in.

In the early 1980s, Rev. Josiah Akindayomi fell seriously ill. His church members and elders gathered to pray for his recovery. But, interestingly, he asked them to stop praying. He believed that they were preventing something that needed to happen. Sadly, in the middle of October that year, he passed away. His wife discovered his lifeless body.

Here's where it gets really captivating. Just as she was about to break the tragic news, something incredible happened. Rev. Josiah came back to life and began sharing a most unusual experience. He found himself in a beautiful place, with a well-kept garden, and an elderly man confronted him. This old man insisted that he had to return to where he came from.

However, Rev. Josiah was so captivated by the splendor of this place that he begged not to go back. The old man showed him some exquisite clothing, meant for him, but said he couldn't wear them until he forgave Rev. Timothy Oshokoya, the founder of Apostolic Faith Church Nigeria, who was then a pastor and this is where things get interesting.

You see, 28 years before this incident, Rev. Josiah had come across a tract from Apostolic Faith Church and reprinted it for evangelism without knowing about copyright issues. He was confronted by the leaders of the church, he was found guilty, and the remaining tracts were destroyed. This brought him immense pain, loss, and shame, and he harbored a deep grudge in his heart.

However, when he returned from this otherworldly experience, the first thing he did was write a letter of forgiveness to Rev. Timothy Oshokoya, telling him that he had forgiven him. Shortly after this act of forgiveness, Rev. Josiah passed away peacefully.

Forgiveness is a powerful act of love, grace, and healing. It's a universal concept that transcends words, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of their level of education. While forgiving others may seem difficult at times, it's an essential part of our Christian journey, guided by the example of God's boundless forgiveness.

Let me share a story about a woman named Mary. Mary had faced a profound betrayal. Her best friend had deceived her, causing great pain and suffering. Mary's heart ached with anger and resentment, and she couldn't fathom the idea of forgiveness. She felt justified in holding onto her bitterness, believing it would protect her from further harm.

One day, Mary came across the verse in Colossians 3:13, which encouraged her to forgive just as the Lord forgave her. It struck a chord deep within her. She realized that her own forgiveness from God was undeserved, just as she felt her friend's betrayal was unjust. Yet, God's forgiveness had been freely given, and it had transformed her life. This realization opened a door in Mary's heart, and she decided to extend forgiveness to her friend.

Forgiving her friend didn't mean Mary was excusing the betrayal or pretending it didn't hurt. Instead, it meant releasing the heavy burden of anger and resentment. As Mary forgave, she experienced a sense of freedom she hadn't known before. She understood that forgiveness wasn't just a gift she gave to her friend but also a gift she gave herself.

In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus taught about the importance of forgiveness: "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." These words highlight the direct connection between our forgiveness of others and God's forgiveness of us.

I, too, have grappled with the challenge of forgiveness. There have been moments when I felt deeply wronged, and forgiveness seemed like an impossible task. But as I turned to God's Word and reflected on His unmerited forgiveness in my own life, I recognized the profound importance of extending that same grace to others.

Forgiving others doesn't mean we forget the pain or condone wrongdoing. It means choosing love over bitterness, mercy over vengeance. It's a step toward healing for both the forgiver and the forgiven. When we let go of the shackles of unforgiveness, we experience the freedom to move forward and grow in our faith.

Reflect on your own experiences of forgiveness, both receiving it and extending it to others. Consider the weight that unforgiveness carries and how it hinders personal and spiritual growth. Think about the love and grace God has poured out on you, despite your own shortcomings, and how His forgiveness can inspire you to forgive others.

As you reflect on today’s devotional theme of forgiving others, remember that it's not a sign of weakness but a testament to the transformative power of love and grace. Just as God forgives us, we are called to extend that same forgiveness to others, finding healing, freedom, and peace in the process.

Finding Strength in Weakness

Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

In life, we often perceive weakness as a flaw, something to be hidden or overcome. But what if I told you that weakness can be a gateway to experiencing the incredible power of God? It's a truth that even those who may struggle with reading or writing can grasp, for it transcends words and exists in the core of our faith.

Let me share a story about a man named Gideon. In the Bible, Gideon was an unlikely hero. He came from a small and insignificant clan and considered himself the least significant in his family. Yet, God called him to lead an army against a formidable enemy. Gideon felt weak and inadequate for the task, but he trusted God's plan.

In Judges 6 and 7, we read how God reduced Gideon's army from thousands to just three hundred men. It seemed like a recipe for disaster, but it was God's way of showing His power through weakness. Gideon and his small band of warriors triumphed over the enemy, not by their own strength, but by relying on God's might. It was a powerful demonstration of how God's strength is magnified in our weaknesses.

I've experienced this truth in my own life. There have been times when I felt overwhelmed by challenges that seemed insurmountable. Moments when I doubted my abilities, my worth, and my capacity to endure. But in those moments of vulnerability, I turned to God. I prayed, not for my own strength, but for His. And as I did, I felt His presence and His power filling the gaps of my weakness.

The Apostle Paul, in 2 Corinthians 12:9, speaks directly to this paradox of strength in weakness. He recounts how he had a thorn in his flesh, a weakness or challenge that troubled him. Three times, he pleaded with God to remove it, but God's response was profound: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Paul recognized that his weakness was an opportunity for God's power to shine brightly in his life. Instead of hiding his weakness, he boasted in it, understanding that it was the canvas upon which God's strength was displayed.

This truth is not reserved for the mighty or the eloquent; it is a promise for all believers. Our weaknesses, whether they are physical, emotional, or spiritual, are spaces where God's grace and power can dwell. When we acknowledge our limitations and turn to God in humility, we open the door for His strength to flow through us.

When I look back on my own journey, I see how God's strength carried me through the storms of life. I see how He used my weaknesses as opportunities for growth, transformation, and a deeper reliance on Him. I've discovered that God doesn't expect us to be strong on our own; He invites us to lean on His strength.

So, dear friend, if you ever find yourself feeling weak or inadequate, know that it's okay. In those moments, remember Gideon, Paul, and countless others who found strength in their weakness through God's grace. Embrace your weaknesses, for they are the canvas upon which God's power is painted most brilliantly. Through Him, you can overcome, endure, and accomplish more than you could ever imagine.

Have you ever felt lost or confused, like you're walking through a thick fog, unable to see what lies ahead? That's a feeling many of us experience when life takes unexpected turns. It's in those moments that we wonder, "Does God really have a plan for me?" The answer is a resounding yes.

Jeremiah 29:11, a comforting verse from the Bible, reminds us that God knows the plans He has for us. Plans for our well-being, not harm. Plans for a hopeful future. This promise holds true, whether you can read every word of it or not. God's plan is not hidden away in complex language but is written in your heart, waiting to be discovered.

Let me share a story about a man named Joseph. Joseph had a dream in which he saw himself in a place of authority, surrounded by his family. But his journey to that dream seemed like a series of unfortunate events. He was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and later imprisoned unjustly. It was a dark and uncertain time for Joseph, and he couldn't see how his dreams would ever come true.

However, through it all, Joseph held onto his faith in God's plan. He didn't know the twists and turns his life would take, but he trusted that God had a purpose for it all. Eventually, Joseph's dream came true, and he became a ruler in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh. His story teaches us that even in the midst of uncertainty and hardship, God's plan prevails.

I, too, have faced moments of uncertainty in my life, wondering if God's plan was still in motion. There were times when I felt like I was in a maze with no way out. But as I turned to God in prayer and sought His guidance through His Word, I began to see a pattern—a plan—unfolding before me. It wasn't always clear, and it didn't always make sense, but I knew it was there.

Trusting God's plan doesn't mean we won't face difficulties or trials. Just as a gardener prunes a tree to help it grow, God sometimes allows challenges in our lives to shape us and lead us toward His purpose. These challenges, while painful, are part of His plan to mold us into the people He designed us to be.

Reflect on your own life journey. Are there moments when, looking back, you see how God's plan was at work, even when you couldn't see it at the time? It might be a job opportunity that unexpectedly opened up, a chance encounter that led to a lifelong friendship, or a challenge that helped you grow stronger.

As you ponder these moments, remember that God's plan is not just a destination; it's a journey. It's a path filled with twists and turns, ups and downs, but ultimately leading to a future filled with hope. Even when life seems uncertain, hold fast to the knowledge that God is with you, guiding you along His perfect plan. Trust in Him, and you'll find comfort and assurance even in the midst of life's uncertainties.

Think of prayer as a conversation with your dearest friend—the kind of friend who listens intently, cares deeply, and has the power to change everything. This is what prayer is, and it's a gift from God that anyone can embrace, regardless of their level of education or literacy.

The Bible is filled with stories of ordinary people who discovered the extraordinary power of prayer. One such story is about a man named Daniel. He faced a dire situation when he was thrown into a den of hungry lions. Yet, instead of panicking, he turned to prayer. Daniel knew that God was his refuge and strength. In that fearful moment, he talked to God, and a miracle happened. The lions' mouths were shut, and Daniel emerged unharmed (Daniel 6:22-23).

That's how God's love is for us—constant, unwavering, and ever-present.

The Gift of Salvation
Bible Text - Roman 6:23

Let’s assume a beautifully wrapped gift, your name is lovingly written on the tag. God offers us a similar gift - the gift of eternal life with Him. Just as you would eagerly unwrap a present, you can accept His love and forgiveness with open arms.

Beginning with our Bible text Romans 6:23, which tells us, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." This verse highlights that salvation is a gift freely given by God, and it's the key to eternal life with Him.

There's a story in the Bible about a man named Zacchaeus. He was a tax collector who wasn't well-liked in his community because tax collectors often took more money than they should. Zacchaeus was curious about Jesus, so he climbed a tree to see Him as He passed by. When Jesus saw Zacchaeus, He invited Himself to Zacchaeus's home for a meal. This surprised everyone because they couldn't believe that Jesus would dine with a tax collector. But during their time together, Zacchaeus's heart was transformed. He recognized his sins and decided to give half of his possessions to the poor and repay those he had wronged. Jesus responded by saying, "Today salvation has come to this house." At a time in my life, I felt burdened by my mistakes and shortcomings. I carried the weight of guilt and shame, not realizing that God had already offered me the gift of salvation. At that moment, I understood that I could accept God's gift by simply acknowledging my need for Him and asking for His forgiveness. It was like unwrapping the most precious present, and it filled my heart with a profound sense of peace and joy.

Have you ever felt like you were carrying the heavy burden of your mistakes and sins, unaware that God has offered you the gift of salvation? It's a gift that's available to all, regardless of our past. Think about this, Salvation is not something we can earn or achieve on our own. It's a gift freely given by God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Just as you would accept a gift from a loved one, you can accept God's gift of salvation by acknowledging your need for Him and repenting of your sins.

Can you imagine the doubts and questions that might have filled Noah's mind? Yet, he trusted God's plan. Noah's trust led him to take every step necessary to construct the ark. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ERV) ‘’There is a right time for everything, and everything on earth will happen at the right time." 

The verse above tells us that God's timing is purposeful and that every moment has its place in His plan. Abraham and Sarah’s story in the Bible illustrates the importance of trusting in God's timing. God promised them a child, but as years passed without a child, doubt crept in. Sarah even suggested that Abraham have a child with her maidservant, Hagar, to fulfill God's promise. But God's timing was different from theirs. In due course, Sarah became pregnant and gave birth to a son, Isaac, just as God had promised. It wasn't easy for Abraham and Sarah to wait, but they learned to trust God's perfect timing. Isaac, whose name means 'laughter,' became a testament to the joy of trusting in God.

I've often found myself impatient, wanting things to happen on my timeline. There was a time when I was eagerly waiting for a job opportunity that seemed perfect for me. I prayed for it every day, but the days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, with no response. I began to doubt if God was listening or if He had forgotten about me. But during that time of waiting, I realized that God had other plans. He was molding and preparing me for something better.

Have you ever experienced a season of waiting, wondering why things weren't happening as quickly as you hoped? It's in these moments that we must learn to trust in God's timing, even when it feels like a test of our patience. Consider this: God sees the bigger picture, while we often focus on the immediate. Just like a puzzle, when we're in the middle of it, we might not understand how each piece fits, but God is the master puzzle solver. He knows how every piece of our lives connects to create a beautiful picture.

Trusting in God's timing means surrendering our impatience and embracing His plan, even when we can't see it. It means knowing that God's clock is different from ours but is always set to perfection. Like a well-composed symphony, each note of our lives has its place in His grand composition. In my own journey, I've learned that waiting on God often leads to blessings beyond our wildest dreams. When we try to rush ahead, we risk missing out on His best for us. But when we wait in faith, we allow His plan to unfold beautifully in His time.

So, my dear friends, if you're in a season of waiting and wondering, take heart. Trust in God's timing, for His plan is perfect. Just like a flower that blooms at the right moment, your life will unfold in its own beautiful way, and His timing will prove to be the most exquisite.

TOPIC: GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU

Jeremiah 29:11 (ERV) - I say this because I know the plans that I have for you. This message is from the Lord. I have good plans for you. I don’t plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good future.

The verse above is a comforting promise from God that His plan for your life is filled with goodness and hope. The story of Joseph in the Bible illustrates God's plan for our lives. Joseph was a young man with big dreams, but his own brothers betrayed him, and he was sold into slavery. He faced many trials and challenges, including being falsely accused and thrown into prison. But through it all, Joseph trusted God's plan, even when it seemed impossible. Eventually, God raised Joseph to a position of great authority and power, where he could save his family and many others during a time of famine. Joseph's life shows us that even in the darkest moments, God is weaving a beautiful plan, even if we can't see it at the time.

Do you feel lost at the moment, not knowing which way to go or what purpose lies ahead? Do not worry, it's a common experience we all face at some point. But I need you to know that God's plan for your life is like a map that He holds, and He knows the way, even when you can't see it. Though God's plan isn't always easy or straightforward. It may involve challenges, setbacks, and detours, but every twist and turn serves a purpose. Just like Joseph's journey from slavery to leadership, your life is a part of God's grand plan, and every experience, good or bad, contributes to it. When we trust God's plan, we surrender our need for control and rely on His wisdom. It's like handing Him the map of our lives and saying, "I trust You to lead me." Even when we don't understand the path or the purpose, we can find comfort in knowing that His plan is always good.

So as you stand at your own crossroads, remember that God has a special path just for you. It may not always make sense at the moment, but you can trust Him because His plan is filled with hope, goodness, and a bright future. Keep moving forward, one step at a time, with confidence that He is leading you to something beautiful.

TOPIC: GROWING THROUGH CHALLENGES

‘’My brothers and sisters, you will have many kinds of trouble. But this gives you a reason to be very happy. You know that when your faith is tested, you learn to be patient in suffering’’, James 1:2-4 (ERV).

This verse tells us that challenges, though difficult, can be like spiritual workouts that strengthen our faith.

The story of David and Goliath in the Bible comes to mind. This story illustrates the idea of growing through challenges. Goliath, a giant warrior, taunted and threatened the Israelites. Everyone was afraid until a young shepherd boy named David stepped forward. He faced Goliath armed only with a sling and stones. David's faith in God gave him the courage to confront this enormous challenge.
When he defeated Goliath, it wasn't just a victory over a giant; it was a testament to the power of faith. David's faith had grown through the challenges he faced while tending his father's sheep. He had faced dangers like lions and bears, and each time, God had helped him overcome them. These challenges prepared him for the ultimate test against Goliath.

Some weeks ago, a brother in faith shared his story with me. He said there was a time in his life when he faced a significant challenge. He was struggling with a chronic illness that brought pain and uncertainty. It was a difficult journey for him, and there were moments when he questioned why he had to go through it. But as he leaned on God during those tough times, his faith began to grow.
He realized that faith isn't just about having a smooth, easy path. It's about trusting God even when the path is rocky and uncertain. Through those challenges, He learned to rely on God's strength and discovered a deeper connection with Him.

Have you ever faced a challenge that seemed insurmountable? Maybe it was a health issue, a financial crisis, or a personal loss. It's in those moments of difficulty that our faith is tested and, paradoxically, strengthened. Consider this: just as muscles grow stronger with resistance training, our faith grows stronger when we face life's challenges with trust in God. It's like God is the coach of our spiritual journey, helping us build endurance, patience, and resilience.

I want us to think about the trees in a forest. The strongest trees are not those shielded from the wind and rain but the ones that have faced the fiercest storms. Similarly, it's the challenges we encounter that shape us into stronger, more mature believers. Life's storms and trials can be unsettling, but they can also be opportunities for growth. When we turn to God in those moments, we find strength we never knew we had. Challenges, though daunting, become stepping stones on our journey of faith.

So, my dear friends, if you're currently facing a challenge, remember that you're not alone. God is with you, helping you grow through it. Like a tree that becomes stronger with each passing storm, your faith can deepen and flourish through life's trials. Trust in His presence and the growth that will come from this season of challenge.

TOPIC: WIPING THE SLATE CLEAN

I want you to picture a dusty chalkboard covered in scribbles and mistakes. Each mark represents the hurts and wrongs we've done and the pain others have caused us. But forgiveness is like taking an eraser and wiping that chalkboard clean. It's God's way of clearing away the hurt and starting anew.

Let's start with the book of Matthew 6:14-15, where Jesus says, "If you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, then your Father in heaven will also forgive your wrongs. But if you don’t forgive others, then your Father in heaven will not forgive the wrongs you do.’’ This verse is like a key that unlocks the power of forgiveness. When we forgive others, we open the door to receiving God's forgiveness for our own mistakes.
There's a powerful story in the Bible about forgiveness that helps us understand its importance. It's the story of the prodigal son. There was a young man who asked his father for his inheritance and went off to a distant land where he squandered it all on wild living. When he had nothing left, he came to his senses and decided to return home, confessing his mistakes.

Now, you might think his father would be angry and unforgiving, but that's not what happened. When the father saw his son coming from a distance, he ran to him, embraced him, and forgave him completely. The Father's love and forgiveness were like God's love for us. No matter how far we've strayed, when we come to God with a repentant heart, He forgives us and welcomes us back with open arms.

I want to personally admit here that forgiveness wasn't always easy for me. I held onto grudges for years, irrespective of who they were which included close family members, and was even called chief malice keeper by those who knew me, and I felt justified in doing so. But there came a time when I realized that harboring resentment was like carrying a heavy burden that weighed me down. I decided to let go of those grudges and offer forgiveness, even to those who had hurt me deeply. It wasn't about excusing their actions but freeing myself from the pain and bitterness. As I forgave others, I experienced a sense of liberation and peace that I had never known before. It was like wiping my own chalkboard clean of all the hurtful marks.

Have you ever held onto anger or resentment towards someone? It's a heavy burden to carry, like lugging around a backpack filled with rocks. But forgiveness is the key to setting that burden down and finding freedom.

Think about a time when someone forgave you for a mistake you made. How did it feel to know that despite your error, they still cared for you and wanted a fresh start? That's the gift of forgiveness in action. When we forgive, we offer that same gift to others.
Forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting or condoning the wrongs done to us. It means choosing to let go of the anger and hurt, just as God forgives us when we confess our sins and turn to Him. It's a fresh start, a clean slate, a chance to begin anew.

Remember that forgiveness is not just a gift we give to others; it's a gift we receive from God as well. When we seek His forgiveness with a sincere heart, He wipes our slate clean, removing our sins and mistakes. It's a beautiful exchange of grace and love.
So, my friend, if you're holding onto grudges or carrying the weight of unforgiveness, consider the freedom and peace that forgiveness can bring. Just like wiping a dusty chalkboard clean, forgiveness clears away the hurt, leaving room for healing and reconciliation. It's a gift we can both give and receive, and it's a gift that can transform lives.

TOPIC - THE CALM IN LIFE'S STORM

Imagine standing by a tranquil lake, the water so still that it mirrors the world around it like a perfect, undisturbed mirror. When life gets chaotic, just like that serene lake, God can be the source of peace that calms the storms within you. His presence can soothe your worries and bring tranquility to your heart.

Let's turn to Psalm 46:10, where it says, "Be still, and know that I am God." These words are like a gentle invitation from God to find peace in His presence. Being still means taking a moment to pause, to stop the hustle and bustle of life, and to focus on Him.

There's a story from the Bible that beautifully illustrates finding peace in God. It's about Jesus and His disciples in a boat on the Sea of Galilee. One day, a great storm arose, and the disciples were filled with fear. The wind howled, the waves crashed against the boat, and it seemed like they might sink. But what was Jesus doing? He was sleeping peacefully in the midst of the storm.

The disciples woke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" And Jesus, with a voice filled with authority, said to the raging storm, "Quiet! Be still!" Immediately, the wind ceased, and the sea became calm. The disciples were amazed, not just by His power over the natural world, but by the peace He carried within Himself.

This story teaches us that even in life's fiercest storms, when everything around us is chaotic, God can bring calmness and peace. Just as Jesus calmed the storm in that boat, He can calm the storms in our hearts.

I remember a time when I felt like I was drowning in the chaos of life. My financial responsibilities were overwhelming, and my personal life was in turmoil. I was constantly anxious and stressed, unable to find peace. But then, a friend reminded me of the story of Jesus calming the storm. I decided to take a moment each day to be still, to pray, and to surrender my worries to God. It wasn't an instant fix, but gradually, I began to experience a peace that surpassed understanding. My circumstances hadn't changed, but my heart did. It was as if God's presence in my life was like that calm lake, reflecting His peace into my soul.

Have you ever felt like life's chaos was too much to bear? It's easy to get overwhelmed, just like the disciples in the storm. But remember, Jesus is in your boat too. His peace is available to you, no matter how turbulent your circumstances may be.

Think about the last time you felt truly at peace. Perhaps it was sitting in a quiet room, listening to your favorite worship, or gazing at a peaceful sky. These moments of calmness are like glimpses of God's peace. They remind us that peace isn't just the absence of chaos; it's the presence of something greater, something divine.

Life can be like a stormy sea, tossing us around with worries, fears, and troubles. But in the midst of it all, there's a place of stillness, a place of refuge, and that place is God. He offers us a peace that the world cannot give, a peace that can anchor our souls even when everything else is in turmoil.

So, my friend, when the storms of life threaten to overwhelm you, remember the calm lake and the sleeping Jesus. Take a moment to be still, to turn to God for peace. He can soothe your worries, quiet your fears, and bring tranquility to your heart, no matter what chaos rages around you. Trust in His peace, for it is a gift beyond measure.

In the embrace of a somber morning, the twins, Mobolaji and Mobolade, marked their second birthday. Today held a bittersweet purpose as I embarked on a journey with my three boys – Feranmi, Mobolaji, and Mobolade to the Isaleoko Cemetery. It was here, amidst the eternal resting place of their mother, my beloved childhood friend, that our hearts converged.
Yesterday, we left behind the hustle of Lagos, and this morning, our steps led us to the cemetery. This wasn't a remembrance day, yet it held profound significance. Darasinmi, my confidante, departed on October 5th, 2021, merely two months after welcoming her twins into the world. Her plea to safeguard her trio of sons resonated ceaselessly in my mind.

The memories etched in time unfurled as I stood before her resting place. Darasinmi as I fondly called her, was my sister, my partner in mischief, my dearest friend. She was my everything. But the tide of newfound faith separated us. The pull of my new beliefs clashed with the bond we had woven over years of shared laughter, dreams, and secrets.
Dara's journey began in adversity, orphaned at a tender age. Tragedy struck her family, snatching her parents and brothers away when she was just seven. Yet, she emerged resilient from the wreckage, her strength a testament to the power of the human spirit. Dara's return to Lagos, alongside her aunt, reignited the flame of our friendship. We navigated life's challenges together, our connection deepening with each passing day.

As I gazed upon her final resting place, a pang of regret gripped me. Religion, the very thing that had drawn me into its embrace, became the barrier between us. Dara was unyielding in her devotion to our bond, refusing to let my spiritual awakening drive a wedge. We argued, wrestled with our differences, and gradually drifted apart.
The silence between us grew until one fateful day when her voice graced my phone. Her news was joyous – she was expecting twins through IVF. Amidst our conversation, her plea for reconciliation tugged at my heart. "Babe, I wish things could return to how they used to be," she whispered, a longing for unity palpable in her words. The past stood before us, but the fractures ran deep.

And then, on October 3rd, 2021, a fateful afternoon. The call arrived, bringing with it the news of her illness. Rushing to her side, I witnessed her pain, and we fought against her fading light together. Days passed, but her strength waned, and she left this world on October 5th, 2021, just as she had entered it – with bravery and grace.
Tears flowed as I stood by her resting place, the weight of grief crashing over me anew. Dara's absence remained an ache, a reminder of what was and what could have been. I hadn't truly moved on, as I believed. Her presence lingered, a cherished memory etched into the fabric of my being.

Dara, today your twins stand at the threshold of their second year. They radiate the strength and resilience you embedded within them. Your laughter, your love for parties, and your spirit live on in them. Though you're not here to witness their growth, I stand steadfast in my promise to be the mother they need. I'll nurture them as you would have, with all the care and devotion that you epitomized.

John Chapter 3, verses 1 to 21, paints a powerful picture of Nicodemus, a respected Pharisee, meeting Jesus under the cover of darkness. This encounter holds timeless truths that remain remarkably applicable to us today, illustrating the transformative journey from spiritual darkness to the radiant light of faith.

Nicodemus, a religious leader, approached Jesus with curiosity, acknowledging His divine origin. He recognized the miracles Jesus performed as evidence of God's presence. However, Jesus responded with an unexpected revelation, stating that to "see the kingdom of God," one must be "born again" (verse 3).

Perplexed, Nicodemus questioned the concept of being born again, imagining a physical birth. Jesus clarified that He referred to a spiritual rebirth, born of water and the Spirit (verse 5). Just as physical birth introduces us to earthly life, spiritual rebirth introduces us to eternal life in God's kingdom.

This message holds profound relevance today. We, too, must undergo a spiritual rebirth, leaving behind our old ways and embracing a new life in Christ. In Ephesians 4:22-24, the apostle Paul emphasizes the importance of putting off the old self and being renewed in the spirit of our minds, reflecting the essence of being "born again."

Jesus continued, comparing the Spirit's movement to the wind's unpredictable path (verse cool. Similarly, the Holy Spirit moves in ways beyond our comprehension, breathing life into our spiritual journey. To experience this transformation, we must surrender control, allowing the Spirit to guide us.

The heart of this encounter lies in verse 16, a cornerstone of faith: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." This verse encapsulates the Gospel's essence: God's immense love expressed through Jesus' sacrifice, offering eternal life to all who believe.

Today, this truth remains unshaken. Romans 5:8 echoes this sentiment, affirming that God demonstrated His love by sending Christ while we were still sinners. Our response, rooted in faith, ensures our eternal connection with God.

Nicodemus' confusion highlights a common human struggle—embracing divine concepts beyond human logic. In Isaiah 55:8-9, we learn that God's thoughts transcend ours, emphasizing the need to trust His wisdom even when understanding eludes us.

As the conversation unfolds, Jesus elucidates His purpose—to save, not condemn. This echoes throughout Scripture. Romans 8:1 assures believers that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, emphasizing salvation through faith rather than judgment.

In verse 19, the contrast between light and darkness emerges. People often prefer darkness, as it conceals their deeds. Yet, those who practice truth and embrace the light reveal God's work within them. First John 1:7 reinforces this, stating that walking in the light leads to fellowship with God and cleansing from sin.

The chapter concludes with a critical choice: embrace the light or remain in darkness. Those who reject Christ's message choose spiritual darkness. John 12:46 reinforces this, proclaiming that Jesus came as a light, ensuring believers do not remain in darkness.

Nicodemus' encounter speaks directly to us today. We, too, face the choice of embracing the light of Christ or remaining in spiritual darkness. Just as Nicodemus sought answers, we must seek spiritual rebirth, God's boundless love, and the assurance of eternal life through faith in Jesus.

In this narrative, we find a roadmap for our own journey. We must be born again, embracing a new life through the Holy Spirit, trusting God's wisdom beyond human understanding, and choosing the light of Christ over spiritual darkness. Through these principles, Nicodemus' nighttime visit becomes a guiding light, illuminating our path toward a renewed and vibrant faith.
