DrGoodman: Good for you, as for us we are not enjoying this country, we can grow and develop our lands faster if we have our people at the helm without the drawbacks in infrastructure and power.
If only Yorubas can become independent instead of surviving on oil and still lying about nonsensical IGR Oil constitute less than 10% of the economy of about $500billion. Where does the other 90% of about $450billion comes from. Even oil constitute 45% of our national budget today which is too high though it is shrinking. Non -oil sector finances 55%of our national budget. The north and the southwest are working assiduously to free themselves from the high share that oil money represent in their budgets. |

let's see the region that will suffer most Ogun state also earns the highest from mining of solid minerals in Nigeria. It is therefore preposterous to assert that the SW exist on oil from the ND. |

Na that time ya eye go clear clear SW had the biggest economy before oil. The Western region was the wealthiest then and still is. So, what are you talking about. |

DrGoodman: Liars will die in hell fire, because if there is half a truth in this, yorubas would have declared Yorubanistan republic
Fake figures made up to measure your shrivelled dick.s and feel good online. But the truth is that yorubas are worse off in the quality of life index and a anytime. If you remove free things from the south west, famine will finish the population there.
I challenge you to support the division of Nigeria and see as the south west becomes another Togo The economy of SW is not based on oil. It is based on Agriculture, Manufacturing, Hospitality businesses and services. We've always had a good economy before oil. That is not going to change should we go our separate ways. I don't foresee the break-up of Nigeria though. Most Nigerians believe we are better together than disintegrated into smaller pieces. |

The internally generated revenue for Nigeria's 36 states are out. Lagos comes first with N302.42billion. Rivers comes second with N85.28billion while Ogun State comes third with N78.92billion. Of all the 36 states only Lagos and Ogun generates more IGR than Federal Accounts Allocation. Lagos and Ogun states 69% and 27% more IGR than FAA respectfully.
Ekiti and Nasarawa states are routed to the lowest wrung of the ladder. Statistics are shown below.

Ngozi123: It’s amazing, really; nothing you’ve said here has actually challenged what I said in my previous post . We have no regret that we took our own destiny in our own hands in the 50's election. Imagine where we would be today with an Azikiwe with Igbo agenda in Western Nigeria. By the way, that Whiteman whose history book you've been touting is absolutely unqualified to tell us our history. One of the worst thing that can happen to you is for an outsider to your issues to be the one to help you write your history. That history book has too many gaps in it. What I have written here about Azikiwe and Awolowo are more correct than what is in that history book. |

Ngozi123: People are agreeing with the op without actually asking him which "strategic positions" Zik was alleged to have filled with Igbos.
rlauncher do go on, we are waiting... When Azikiwe became governor-general and later on president in alliance with the north, the Yorubas suddenly find out that it was extremely difficult for them to find employment in the civil service, while it was much easier for Igbo people, leaving the Igbo people in absolute control of the Federal civil service. We understood that to be the actual reason Azikiwe dumped alliance with Awolowo's party for Sir Ahmadu Bello's party-opportunity to dominate at the federal level. Never believe it when some historians tell you that Igbo dominance in the 60's was on merit. There was nothing statistically or scientific in any way, going by the demography and social mileuo of the nation to justify or prove that assertion. |

What if the judge meant, "My hands are tied", as in, "No matter how how highly I esteem you, justice must take its course?"
You were not there, and the judge did not clarify his statement to you. So, stop trying to put your own spin on history. Seek truth instead. Yorubas were not fools to vote for Zik. InyinyaAgbaOku: That's where you failed it. Igbos dominated all sectors then.
Now, Igbos still lead in education. That was a time Igbos nepotism and clannishness knew no bounds. They promote their own interests above that of other people groups. When a vacancy shows up anywhere, they work hard to fill it with Igbos. It was not uncommon at that time for them to threaten even their hosts with hostile takeover of their land. The situation is still the same today. They generally employs only their own people while you can see them working freely in establishments owned by Yoruba people and other people groups. |

DanseMacabre: Bro, was it out of Awo's unconditional love for the Igbos that he brought about the infamous ten pounds policy to reimburse them after the war, even those that had millions in the bank?
Awo was a staunch tribalist, just a highly intellectual and stealthy one. Where in the world tell me, does civil war end in a country and the government pay any money to the vanquished rebels. Even the then head of state Gowon does not want Awolowo to pay the money, but he still went ahead. This is documented. What else do you call this if not an act of kindness. We have always shown kindness to Igbo people but they are never appreciative of it. |
