GeneralDae: It would be a third of the market (33%). You would then for a while have a similar situation to what is found in Kenya and Ghana where Safaricom and MTN respectively single handedly control the market. Only NNPC listing would challenge that.
In Ghana’s case for instance, out of a $25 Billion market cap, MTN Ghana is said to be worth $19 Billion. The next is Ecobank at $1.1 Billion Interesting 19b , that high What’s the valuation of mtn Nigeria |

Shalom428: Investors in GTCO, Zenith, and Dangote Cement should remain steadfast—this race has only just begun. The rewards ahead are twofold: capital appreciation and progressive dividend payouts. If you hold any of these stocks and are not under immediate financial pressure, resist the urge to sell. These are true cash cows poised to deliver sustained value.

toyeoye: DANGCEM just flipped the NGX market cap leaderboard 🔥🏆👑 May 8 RECAP
Yesterday: #3 — ₦16.69T Today: #1 — ₦18.36T after a +10% limit-up move.
That single session added roughly ₦1.67T in market value, pushing it ahead of: BUAFOODS MTNN
Meanwhile: MTNN slipped to #3 after a -1.71% decline BUACEMENT expanded further to ₦14.49T
Cement heavyweights are tightening their grip on NGX valuation leadership ⚠️ These shifts become impossible to miss when visualized live on StockBubbles 🚀 Looks to me like there is more room for growth for dangote cement and wapco cf Bua from the market cap |

Agbalowomeri: Yes, because markets are efficient and have their reasons for pricing one stock over another. It is not only assets that determine stock prices
No be to carry toxic asset full body, how much are you squeezing out for shareholders from the earnings? ACCESS is probably the most inefficient bank in Nigeria. If the story changes tomorrow, maybe the market will respond. Until then, it is what it is. Those inefficiencies are to a few peoples benefit , maybe deliberate I believe that in all those expansion across Africa were embedded some deals for the boys , that era is hopefully over now with the cbn directive and posture |

deathwing: You won't believe the reason i started buying WAPCO. I had to do some renovations at home late last year and the price of cement really shocked me because I last remembered it at like 5k or so. After all the spend, I swore these companies would have to pay me back somehow...so I did my research and decided on WAPCO. Now almost 100% up. I use about 400 to 600 bags of lafarge supaset monthly, prices have been going up about 500 monthly a bag since January for the 3 players , the guy that supplies me just informed me prices will go up in May again and i should pay in advance to enjoy current price , current is 11750 for 900 bags including delivery and off loading for me Have some decent amount I bought last year and bought some at Sunrisepebble bullishness last week at 270 when I dint see value anywhere else , thank you Sunrisepebble , you are appreciated Really I think I must pay more attention to stock of companies I do business with in real life , I believe it’s street that also factors that in some of his analysis , that’s how beta glass went on fire last year , this are guys we do 9 figures with most months , never considered them till i started seeing analysis and the rise in prices here , still don’t have there stocks |

emmanuelewumi: If you sell 30,000 units of Presco shares and 177,000 units of Nahco shares at their current price, one will raise about N100 million.
Based on the volumes of both shares they can't pay more than a combined dividend of N4 million.
If that same N100 million was invested in FGN bond one will get over N16 million per annum at N8 million every 6 months.
Planning to trim down my Presco and Nahco shares when Q1 2026 results are out and diversify into FGN bond Why settle for 16 when you can get 19/20 % for FD for that amount |

Mankind2024: I don’t know your profession, but let me share this from experience: The fastest route to financial freedom in Nigeria is to exit the civil service golden handcuff(aka civilised slavery). Entrepreneurship remains the unmatched leverage in our environment. Consistent daily cash flow from your own business will always beat a monthly paycheck. Be your own boss. Work hard, stay humble, and always have your personal reason for buying any stock. Take time to read and truly understand the fundamentals of the companies you invest in. Learning never stops. Be consistent. Be patient. Be disciplined. Never do “copy-copy.” A clear example happened earlier today. Pa Emmanuel sold his NGX Group shares. Many people who trust him might have followed suit and sold theirs too. As for me, my 250,000 plus units of NGX Group — which I have been buying steadily since it listed and continued buying even up to the last bonus and dividend closure — are still intact and untouchable. I once bought CSCS Plc years ago simply because Pa Emmanuel bought it. Later, through my own research, I discovered the company has a very strong economic moat, just like NGX Group. I have never sold a single unit. I continue to enjoy the regular “tasere” dividends they pay. I boarded at around ₦17, watched it climb to over ₦70, and later saw it return to mean — obeying the law of gravity. I’m not sure if Mr. Emmanuel still holds his own position, as he hasn’t mentioned it in a while. If you truly want to enjoy the power of compounding, avoid the habit of booking profits too early — especially when you are not facing any emergency. Focus on your long-term goals. Sometimes the reward comes earlier than you planned. Stay disciplined, my brothers and sisters. The journey is long, but it is very rewarding for those who remain patient. Congrats on your milestone It’s inspiring to be in the midst of a billionaire on this thread Had to bring out something a lot of people constantly forget which you alluded to here , entrepreneurship/ having your own business as a catalyst for financial prosperity and freedom , yes be diversified into stocks , mutual funds , real estate , crypto , gold , whatever , but also keep paying attention to your personal hustle especially if you have a thriving or scalable business with decent margins , even if it’s a 9 to 5 job , pay attention to your career , that’s what brought the seed money to invest anyway , I personally can put funds to better use than most of the returns I get in stocks even after decades but I still invest regularly across board in some of this asset classes when I see opportunities People always forget that stocks are also businesses run by others Try to dey enjoy your wealth small small if not doing that already , balance is everything , I particularly learnt that lesson in 2009 / 2010 when we discovered a massive fraud in one of our enterprises after years of running lean and being frugal . Enjoy |

ogawisdom: What is your target capital base and how long are you giving yourself to hit it.
Whatever it is it should still grow by at least 20% yearly and never static due to inflation and devaluation. Those figures look low for those classifications maybe because it’s Nigeria where gdp par capital is 3k $ |

awesomeJ: The CBN is concerned about too fast a pace for the appreciation. I learnt they were net takers from the market last week. Almost $200m they bought off sellers, they themselves not having to sell any dollars to the market. They bought off people to avoid too rapid movement.
If you were an FPI that brought in $1bn at N1500, should the currency move too rapidly to N1250, you have a 20% incentive to sell off your debt and have your original N1.5 trn capital now buy as much as $1.2bn worth of cheap dollars.
If all FPIs ran that maths, the demand would be too crazy for the CBN to match, so steady gains are preferred.
I still expect 1200 to 1260 by Q2. I actually want that. I guess most of us naira earners do. Official almost at 1400 only dollar is gaining others are static , maybe the war , seems paradoxical |

The 8 zeros we saw here came in in 5 days.
That's a 52x outperformance 😁😁 I know , that’s the beauty of stocks , get both capital appreciation and dividends but more risk , also not possible to replicate that every week , even monthly Fixed deposits , sure rewards low risk . In all naira assets should do well this year |

awesomeJ: Maybe even less than 5%
Which is why I mentioned that it probably is, in my real world circle.
But if I have what it takes to grow it to N1bn in a very short time, why not do so, when i've just been reminded that a N1bn portfolio can return that same N100m in a good week.
That's new ability that makes my splurge way more affordable.
It's also the kind of earnings that makes even your extended family comfortable. Why not seek it in their own interest too.
Fact is not everyone will get the opportunity to grow wealth into billions, those of us who get such opportunities shouldn't squander it. By all means be inspired and use the opportunities available Delayed gratification is a key part of the game I have been compounding for over 2 decades , nothing as sweet as flexing with returns from investments |

awesomeJ: You're right. 💯💯💯 Imagine if I wasn't on this platform, I would honestly think N100m is a significant amount, cos it probably is in my real world circle, especially given my age bracket.
Here you see that it's weekly earnings for those who have taken the time to build solid portfolios, and the motivation is just sweet.
This is also why just using percentages isn't always best as @nosa2 once stated. 100m is still a significant amount , am sure less than 10 % of the population have that in there accounts There are just levels , as with all things |

awesomeJ: Your comment was about Agba spoiling market for someone, whom you're probably trying to label as a scammer.
If you understood the concept of the plan, then how could you possibly expect it to be something Agba could spoil market for?
Is Agba going to raise MPR to 45% thereby making my 40% unattractive or is he going to be at the SEC to say the fund wouldn't get approved?
The only thing you must have been insinuating is that I want participants from here, and Agba's comments would dissuade such people.
That's not just you trying to call me a scammer, that's also you calling people here folks who would jump into an investment scheme that is neither advertised nor registered.
For your information, depending on when I start, almost everyone here including you might be priced out.
If I'm to start today, the minimum I would accept is N10m, if in 3 years time, it'd be N100m and if after 5 years, it'd be N1bn.
So you see you're not the kind of persons I'm looking for. let’s talk , could be interested , have a budget for such things |

FEGEITOK: 1. Initial Engagement & Site Survey (Bill #1) I met the architect while he was supervising a renovation near my former residence. We have no familial relationship. I initially engaged him to survey a site and assist with 3D visualizations. He quoted a consultation fee for the site visit, which I paid immediately.
2. 3D Visualization Negotiation (Bill #2) Following the visit, he submitted a bill for 3D visualizations. I deemed the quote excessive and paused the engagement. He followed up repeatedly, prompting a negotiation on price. I informed him that unless he accepted my counter-offer, I would wait for the contract award or seek alternatives. He eventually agreed to my figure, and I paid him in full for the 3D visualizations.
3. Documentation & Scope Expansion (Bill #3) I questioned whether his output covered all technical requirements. His response was unsatisfactory, so I conducted independent research and identified missing documentation. When I requested these specific documents, he presented a third, substantial bill. I agreed to draft a contract to cover this specific scope—not to offer him a partnership.
4. The MOU & Profit Sharing Dispute He drafted a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) requesting a percentage of the project contract in addition to his documentation fee. I instructed him to send the draft with the percentage left blank for my review. Upon review, I identified several significant issues. I informed him that I would prioritize finalizing the proposal documentation before addressing the flaws in the MOU.
5. Market Survey (Bill #4) He also conducted a market survey, constituting a fourth distinct billable item. It was after the market survey that this issue of partnership arose.
Summary of Contribution: To date, his contribution is limited to paid services: (1) Site Consultation, (2) 3D Visualizations, (3) As-built designs, and (4) Market Survey.
My Contribution: I retain sole responsibility for the project's success, including business development, stakeholder meetings, proposal defense, and all strategic efforts required to win the contract. And while the duration of his MOU is limited to between now and when the project is paid for and executed, my obligations to the client continue for a minimum of 1 year from the date of project handover; he is not part of that.
He just wants to make a quick buck and be on his way. You should move, maybe even earlier , once you have collected all you paid him to do , looking like he knows too much already , maybe he feels the contract is too much for you to chop alone , all the best |

FEGEITOK: I have hidden nothing.
His actions and speech give me serious cause for concern.
I am seriously shopping for alternatives but will pay him for all work done to date.
The only thing I haven't done is to share his chats on the issue. Dint you guys agree on scope of work , payment terms at the beginning , am seriously wondering how things evolved to where he is transitioning to a partner and inserting himself in other things , what nonsense , abi na me no understand, did you lead him on or encourage him in other ways ,is he pulling other strings towards the actualization of the contract outside his initial scope of work , is he related to you ? |

Although knowing how to allocate capital is very very important
Look for stocks or businesses with earning growth that is higher than inflation, look for highly scalable businesses or invest in stocks or businesses with a Return on Invested Capital of 30% and above.
