With more than 8 Million Monthly for the next 25 years in my Bonds , I am definitely a happy man for life. Contentment is the key word
I don't need a yacht or private jet . I am not going to be a prisoner of rat race . The rat race is rigged to keep you running.
The set goal has been met , it's time to enjoy life while I can .
Best of Luck. You are sure 8m or 8k usd monthly will be enough to retire in the bahamas ? |

topsy23: Good afternoon to everyone. Nigerchin cable manufacturer release their new price list this week and percentage increase is about 35% for the single core cables. Remember the notification was sent 3 weeks before the implementation of the new price.
Now other cable manufactures are ready to follow the same procedure now since all of them are importing raw materials from oversea. Things are not working normal in this country. Imagine 35% increase and there is no regulatory body controlling price in this country of ours. God will help us . .
My Advice to people now is that if you have the opportunity to buy your cable and keep pls quickly do before others increase their price.
Coleman Wichtech and other are yet to communicate their new price to distributors.
Thanks Na wa , I should be starting another project soon , maybe I should take the plunge and start my usual advance purchases . When is the last day to key in ? I no come Dey again |

emmanuelewumi: Booking profit has nothing to do with the size of the fund, I have being buying Dangote Sugsr since it was N6.00 when it was discovered to be undervalued by Afrininvest, United Capital, CSL and other investment houses.
i got a loan to buy more in November 2022, my share from the proceeds of the sale of my grandna house was used to buy Dangote Sugsr and Nahco.
Dangote sugar supplies sugar to Coca cola nigeria, Seven up bottling company, Nestle, Cadbury and many companies in the foods and beverage industry, demand is growimg and the future is btight.
You did the right thing by selling at N52 after achieving your objectives although it closed at N57.50k yesterday.
i am riding it till it gets to N100. BUA foods is now N180 with 18 billion shares, Dangote foods will exceed N120 when the merger is concluded. Objectives were over met , I agree it might get to 100 , I personally help that ministry by consuming 300 bags monthly in one of our enterprise |

Better to have a warehouse, event center, car park, Mall, shopping complex, luxury apartments etc. This is why i have shares in UPDC REIT and SFS REIT Correct , always do commercial not residential, rate of default much lower , service apartments / Airbnb is another one for consideration . emmanuelewumi: A guys could not sleep well at night because of his paper profit and had to sell 550,000 units yesterday to cash out about N27 million.
If he invests this in FGN bond he is sure of a coupon of about N4.4 million per annum for the next 25 years or more Hope am not that guy But seriously that amount is insignificant in the scheme of things for me , I can put the money to far more profitable use than bond , than even stocks . I understand the need for diversification but don’t do bonds . I do first and foremost my businesses , real estate and dollar mutual funds and occasionally stocks when glaring opportunities knocks, by the way I entered the market with multiple of the total coupons for 25 years and I still sleep soundly like a baby Done treasury bills and FD short term in the past (when naira was more stable )till the funds were deployed to more profitable use In this our journey of financial freedom and building sustained wealth , there are many routes |

narite: Total Destruction of wealth, years of savings, waste of time, effort and money investing in the damn economy.
Honestly, if anyone on this thread (mostly the active individuals) do not have at least 30% of their net worth tied to the dollar up till very now, I would truthfully suggest they humbly give their money to someone else to manage it for them.
Let face the harsh realities; those of us who do not jump on this dollar train are in great massive loss, I don’t care what you invested in. The loss might not directly reflect on your portfolio but it is there, it is significantly there. |

emmanuelewumi: Another problem is that most of us, maybe 70% of us believe stock market is the only game in town.
Those who win long term are diversified. I thought I was smart in 2006 when I was pyramiding my gains into bigger speculative position, i was an unrepentant margin trader between 2002 and 2007.
Whereas older people in the speculative business were using their gains to buy properties, expand their businesses, buy forex denominated Investments,
My saving grace in 2006 was because I did not buy private placements, dead stocks, penny stocks, insurance stocks and any of the stocks marketed by Yomi, if not i for hear serious wheeeen. Been following the discourse for a day or 2 now You finally hit the nail on the head for me , that is how I roll , stock market is just part of diversification for me , when I see opportunities that are too good to pass , I plunge in , like doing Covid , the various business I run is the koko and probably real estate , I do not consider myself a long term investor even though I have shares from ipos like gtb from way back and I have bought a few over the last 2 decades , I did analysis of the current value of the 1m worth Of gtb I bought on this page some time ago My Covid loot of close to 9 figures was used to buy real estate on which I am presently constructing now We all have various objectives in stock market investment depending on your age , amount of funds available at your disposal , other money making opportunity cost , knowledge and information , risk appetite , time frame available etc It will be difficult to convince an average trader that has a successful trading business and is compounding his returns by reinvesting in his growing business to invest in the nse Presently in the market again , though the opportunities I see is not like that of Covid 2020 , |

EgunMogaji2: Question of the ForEx changes.
Are yah all keeping your dollar or changing to Naira?
Thanks. Interesting question , can’t be a one size fit all answer , depends on individual and so many others factors For me changed some recently , about a quarter of my holdings to conclude some real estate transactions and position in local stocks just before the advent of the new administration Note ,most of my accretion were done at 200 to 360 , the last was done just before Covid , it’s one of my asset class , so not selling all anytime soon regardless But my prognosis is a slight increase in the short term maybe to 800max and a gradual decline to 650 to 700 if the current reforms are well managed , transparent and foreign investors respond , a lot of ifs |

topsy23: 1MVA, that's for factory . The diesel consumption would be much at full load. But if you have 33KV high voltage line it will help you alot. Running diesel engine 8hts a day with that capacity of generator is not economical at all. If you connected to 33KV grid line, at least minimum of 20hrs power supply a day I am on 33kva, been on it for 17 years , not as reliable as when I installed but you need back up now Even akala that you are doing is on 33kva already nah |
