Most likely your old SOC wasn't in the system again. My own SOC still shows, but it shows for a different occupation name. I used it like that but added a note saying I was issued COS before the 4th April changes.

The visa website now has a note about the SOC issues and how to proceed. I noticed that when I clicked submit.

I'm in the same boat. I tried to use the old SOC code but it didn't allow me proceed with the application. I searched for the new SOC code and used it and I was able to proceed with the application. I informed my employer and they asked me to proceed like that. I also included the development in a note while submitting my VISA application form. I also just completed my Biometric early this morning. Fingers crossed

Is Anyone in the same boat? Anyone with COS given before 4th April and only just making use of it for visa processing? Guidance Needed 👇🏾

My COS was issued March 28th; just before the new rules of 4th April....SOC changed as well based off new rules....Now my question is, when inputting my SOC on the visa form, do I follow the old SOC code stated on my COS, or do I search for the new code and fill the new code?

Anyone in same boat. How did you go about yours?

TB test done and dusted. I went with St. Nicholas as well. Also had a wait time of 30mins. It was all smooth, except the Consultant - Dr. Akinloye who was behaving anyhow...the one whose upstairs that asks one a series of questions... In my mind i was like - I no get your time. Let me do my test, get my results and tick that box.

AyodejiGREAT:
Less than 30 minutes wait.

I uploaded the softcopy on TLSconnect and I'll also go with the hardcopy for my biometrics next week

UK TB Test - Comprehensive Details of Process and experience at St. Nicholas Hospital

Hi all, thought to provide detailed info and updates to anyone who recently wants to do their TB test for UK Work or Student Visa.

St. Nicholas is your best bet. They only process medicals for UK and dont do other countries, so that already means less crowd compared to IOM and Q- life. It was a short wait time and smooth process.

All the admin staff, front desk and nurses that attended to me were courteous, and warm asides the stand offish and haughty attitude from the consultant Dr. Akinloye.. undecided Her attitude really stank...but me sef no send undecided Had my mind focused on the end goal... Do the test, collect my test results and we meuveee!!

In all, i spent no more than 30mins there. Got there about 11.15am.

Make sure you have a hardcopy of your appointment confirmation. I didn't have mine but was directed to a business center nearby to print.

I got an email from them next day (morning precisely) ; the results were out - both soft copy and hardcopy.

You can attach the softcopy with your visa supporting docs. It already has the doctors signature, and a barcode, so the authenticity is valid.

Also, according to their mail you can print the soft copy document yourself- but for best quality they said to print the document on Conqueror paper. (Conqueror Paper is that thick yellow certifcate paper...)

So in short if you're not able to return there to pick your hardcopy, you can print the soft copy on Conqueror paper and you're good to go!

I hope this detailed info helps someone!!

UK Work Visa TB Test

Which of the hospitals will give me the hardcopy of TB Result on same day?

Hi everyone. For the TB Test, based off anyone's past experience, which of the approved hosptals is able to generate the hard copy of the report for me same day?

I heard some do same day, some take 48hrs. I'm coming from out of Lagos so I need to book the center that gives hard copy back same day.

I know this; but which banks dollar card precisely. Some dollar cards have messes people up with failed transaction, after loading so much money the transaction dosent go through. . Do you know anyone who has recently paid and what banks dollar card did they use.

Cashmadam:
Use a Dollar card if you have a domiciliary account. Or ask someone abroad to pay for you and you refund in Naira.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by roak: 12:04am On Apr 13, 2024
I know about the dollar cards but some of them aren't reliable. I can't tie up 2k pounds in a card and payment won't go.
