Raider76: I recall my post above on people bullish on Aradel. This was when it was above 600. I still believe it got highly over priced at NASD due to the tremendous level market sentiment created.
The issue of the uncertainty surrounding the proposed acquisition of Shell assets alone should make one cautious of the stock. Even though of recent there are indications of wavering on the part of government, probably showing the level of lobbying, and "Ejoor Sir", going on. You wonder how a regulator that withheld consent because they assessed the companies acquiring the assets as incapable of managing the assets will now say they are reconsidering. Can the companies acquire that competency overnight? Oga Raider Na todayyyyyy. Na roadblock dem create if u understand the meaning of road block in Nigeria context |

We go all learn by force by fire. The true character of all of us (both protagonist and antagonist, even sit on fence) would be revealed in the fullness of time. |

Streetinvestor2: The 2023 results is a good sign.i never looked at oando results in the past before going in.The results if it is genuine without manipulation. Then it is a company working hard to turn things around for good. The management should work on thr personal integrity in the eyes of investors. The remaining quater results will still show better improvement for income mostly forex gain which boosted 2023 results. In other comprehensive income It will hit 100 plus when suspension is lifted soon. I just took malaria injection it is making me see figures double @ osita. I pray thr is no manipulation in the results for any reason as oga Emma said they changed auditors to lower firm. Oga street I beg no injure me oooo 😁😁😁😁. bovali: My Opinion o. High Level Summary: Active Engagement With Equity Investors - [ ] Equity Injection Plan: The company has plans for equity raising through strategic investors to provide a much-needed boost to its capital base. Management has indicated that agreements with potential equity partners are under negotiation, but they remain cautiously optimistic about the timeline and outcomes of these talks. They plan to leverage these potential capital injections to maintain liquidity and avoid disruptions to operations
Debt and Liability Management:
- [ ] Medium-Term Loan (MTL) Renegotiation: Oando successfully renegotiated its MTL to include an 18-month moratorium and a revised four-year repayment schedule. This restructuring was aimed at easing immediate repayment pressures and stabilizing the company’s cash flow. The settlement of outstanding interest and fees by October 27, 2024, is a key condition to avoiding default. - [ ] Debt Structuring and Pledges: Oando has pledged various security interests as part of its debt agreements, including a fixed and floating charge on assets. This move reinforces lender confidence and aligns with the company’s strategy to secure refinancing - [ ] High Finance Costs: Finance costs remain a significant burden, contributing to a net finance cost of N116.5 billion in 2023. This increase from N81.6 billion in 2022 underscores the impact of high-interest borrowings
Strategic Acquisitions and Investments:
- [ ] Acquisition of NAOC Working Interest: Oando completed the acquisition of Nigerian Agip Oil Company’s (NAOC) working interest in OML 60 – 63. This acquisition is part of its upstream growth strategy and has implications for increased revenue and asset base - [ ] Deferred Payment Structure: The company also secured a share purchase agreement for a 55% equity stake in Lakel Afrik Petroleum Limited, featuring a deferred payment model. This strategic investment aims to support future growth while managing current cash outflows
Going Concern and Financial Sustainability:
- [ ] Material Uncertainty: The financial statement highlights significant doubt regarding Oando’s ability to continue as a going concern due to its negative equity, consistent net losses, and a working capital deficit projected to reach N3 trillion by year-end 2024 - [ ] Planned Funding Solutions: To address these challenges, management plans to complete an equity raise and issue bonds totaling N1.5 trillion. This funding is crucial to bridging the projected funding gap and supporting ongoing operations
Observed Financial and Operational Performance:
- [ ] Revenue Growth: Revenue has shown a substantial increase to N2.85 trillion in 2023 from N1.99 trillion in 2022, attributed to improved trading and upstream operations - [ ] Operating Profit: The operating profit rose sharply to N218.3 billion in 2023, signaling better operational efficiencies compared to N20.6 billion in 2022 - [ ] Net Loss Position: Despite increased revenues and operating profits, net losses widened to N216.2 billion in 2023 from N41.7 billion in 2022, largely due to rising finance costs and accrued liabilities
Improvement Areas:
- [ ] Debt Management: Continued focus on restructuring and reducing finance costs is essential to ensure sustainable profitability and financial health. - [ ] Equity Strategy Execution: The successful conclusion of equity discussions and securing investor commitments will be pivotal in restoring financial stability. - [ ] Cost Optimization: Enhanced cost management, particularly related to interest-bearing debt, will aid in reducing financial strain
My 2 cents (On the issue of going concern, if they were going to fail, lenders would not be approving new loans or agree to restructure . See the bigger picture ❤️&💡 . Nice breakdown and thank you for it. We should expect release of all results (Q1, Q2 and Q3) up to date by Monday (or during the week a most). WT/OJT sure knows how to mess with people mind. My advice to both protagonist and antagonist is to never be too serious with the results. Me na fun i just fey catch by the sideline |

Streetinvestor2: Lol.i don't think anyone casted the first stone.I only confirmed to you that it is a crime and open secret. You are not the first to be using it here and won't be the last.Even the companies do leak it themselves sometimes to manipulate thr share price to achieve something which I believe was what happened in aradel before moving to nse.I could equally be wrong on aradel There is a difference between open secret and insider information Open secret is the example of companies leaking their own news and/or info brought to an open platform like this by other forum members. It is discernible that there are motives behind selectively releasing such info as open secret, so if your motive and that of the "releaser" matches you can make a fortune from it. if not OYO. Though its not been long since i started this game but at least i know enough not to take open secret too serious because it is a double edged sword (it could go both ways). However, insider info is a more serious thing hence its sanctionable in most countries |

If I work in SEC and a memo of an equity I am interested in gets to my table. Are you saying that I am not supposed to act on that information?
I am open to learn sir Yes, you (and close family members) as an employee of SEC would be restricted from some certain transactions depending on the sensitiveness of your role Even so many CBN /NDIC /AMCON mid - senior mgt are also restricted from banks shares |

Streetinvestor2: I was using pe maths in mind.i was looking at pe of 15 with conservative eps for full yr at #5.5 I think they should eb able to do that (5.5) if not even better if you look at it from q3 performance alone Q3 revenue alone was at about 40% (122/297 bn) of YTD. if this performance is sustained in Q4 then they should be able to do EPS of N5.5 - N6 |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by robobo: 12:27pm On Oct 28, 2024 |
Streetinvestor2: The 4.4 can not be gross. The 4.4 is effective of reconstruction of 40 billion os to 10billion.The eps for 40B os is 1.10.And if you multiple by 4 it will give 4.4.That is why I was projecting #5.5 to #6 for full year at 10b os.The actually profit was 75B minus 31 B (non controlling interest) which brought it down to 44b plus used to divide 40b os to get 1.1 eps ohhh Oga Street you are correct oooooo. Sorry i didnt pay attention to that |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by robobo: 12:10pm On Oct 28, 2024 |
Streetinvestor2: This can not be true. The non controlling guys have already taken thr 31B from the total 75B money. So what other controlling interest is thr Oga Street the N4.4 is the gross before deducting controlling interest ooooo |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by robobo: 12:09pm On Oct 28, 2024 |
Streetinvestor2: ok.it is still a good results. That means with this 10B OS, Transcorp can hit between #5.5 -#6.00 eps by full yr result. That means the stock is on its way to #80 and above organically. Then with Tony behind the screen imput it can hit #100 And above too Anything is possible in NGX If you look at it from the perspective that Transcorp at 40bn outstanding shares had done about N19 sometimes this year then the N80 at 10 bn outstanding shares should not be far fetch cos it is almost same as N19 at 40bn outstanding shares if you look at it at the current valuation of its share of its subsidiaries (i.e. transpower and transcohot) which is at about N200/share, then N100 should also not be far fetched If you look at it from dividend yield (say N1.50-N2) at year end then both N80 and N100 looks like stretching ones luck |
