Omo. That's 31% dividend yield from my entry price. Was expecting a bonus but this will do. Blood money dey NSE o

I was expecting a bonus also since its a growing company and it is expected that a 10% increase in outstanding shares wld not negatively impact the future EPS ceteri paribus when examined historically.

But as u said the 1.50 was also a good and pleasant surprise. it is well

I predict 12 month ago that UBA will restore minimum of 80k dividend to be paid March or April 2022. Resulting in a full year dividend of 20k + 80k = N1.00

NSE is back - No announcement about UBA 14th Feb meeting yet

Boss i wld say u shld moderates ur expectation oooooo. Dey might not do more than 40-50k for final bringing everything (+ interim) to btw 60-70

Very good?

This is an Investment thread and we deal with figures, units of shares, amount invested, interest rates on our loans, profits from our trades, percentage gain, dividend yield, portfolio..

Different strokes for different folks.

The figures motivate those who are seeing improvements in their portfolios and growing their wealth but annoys those who are only making money for their Stockbrokers and can't point to any tangible wealth they have been able create trading in shares for ages

Pa Emma the post was not about you hence my opening it with a vouch for your reputation. i am only trying to offer a friendly advice to the Oga. There are plenty of wolves in public space (this forum inclusive and this is not a malign to anybody character). i do all my investment stuff by myself also (with info sourced from the public and professionals) and God has been more than faithful. Nonetheless, it doesnt take away that there are wolves out there that would pounce on others if they are not careful enough (example with the kind of info / figure posted by the Oga, if true anyway)

@pa elder Emma,
Many thanks for your feedback and suggestions, I'm currently with my brother, we worked up his dividends in 2021 financial year, total dividends earned was N3,433,221. Compared with my portfolio that earned N9,770,127.55k, as at November 2021, my portfolio was N96.7M, I made additional investments in Dangote cement and MTNN from December 2021 to February 2022.
The issue at hand now is that he does not want to rebalance at a loss and buying blue chip stocks at the current exorbitant prices.
He agreed to reduce the portfolio to maximum of 30 equities.
Also agreed to retain the stocks that mirror my portfolio, while disposing 43 that are the worst of the 73 stocks in his portfolio.
Also plan to invests all dividends of year 2022 in a fixed income assets.
He is seeking the expertise of a professional who can rebalance his portfolio at a cost.
Please if you know any1, kindly share your email on this platform for further discussion.
I do not have the knowledge to rebalance my brother portfolio, kind of giving me headache.
I recommend a professional stock guru/investor to do the task. Pls if you are available, you are needed.
Brokerage statement and current cscs statement will be made available

Pa Emma is a very knowledgeable, veteran and trustworthy member of this thread and forum in general, so this is not about Pa Emma, but i would implore you to be very wary of other wolves / people out there that can jump on this your info and do u damage. the info is too much for a public forum and you might want to edit / delete some (if the info are true anyway)

My candid advice is to walk into any reputable stockbroking/ financial firm (we have a lot of them like UCAP / Meristem / Investment One / FBN Merchant/ Stanbic IBTC e.t.c) to seek a solution to your challenges which they would do justifiably and at reasonable charges

n.b i dont work nor am i associated (other than as a customer) to any of the firms mentioned.

You have summarised everything

Boss i am not within the Institutional Investors circle but within the finance industry, hence i leverage contact to keep myself in the news / happening.

Plus as a rule i have made sure my doctors/ lawyers and stockbrokers are personal friend that i reach out to even if we dont have any business at hand because after your immediate family those are people that are very IMPORTANT to you.

I am heavy here since the time of #10.90

As said by Onegentleguy @10.90 entry (with some dividend having been earned since then) i dont see the reason for your exit except if u have an emergency

That said, the premium of GT over Zenith had always been predicated on two factors i.e. better efficiency and better Corporate Governance (perception) of GT over Zenith. These two factors are currently being challenged by the pivot into holdco by GT hence the negative impact on price.

The corporate governance is being challenged because a sizeable number of investors believe that the pivot into a holdco is just a ruse by Agbaje to perpetrate himself beyond the 10 year rule by CBN ( as done by the Baloguns in FCMB with the elevation of Ladi from being the Bank MD to the Group (holdco) MD), which IF TRUE is a massive negative dent on the perceived top notch corporate governance perception of GT.

On efficiency, the pivot into holdco is also negatively impactin the bottomline of GT in form of extra expense that comes with such transformation (which ideally should be largely temporary) but more importantly also the slow down it brings to business (hence drop in revenue) because of the attention that is required from executive to pull the pivot through (marketshare which might not be recoverable).

n.b i dont own GT but might be willing to accumulate if entry is better than current price to compensate for elevated risk

In my opinion, even at current price a 50% plus rise before yearend expecially if they increase dividend again is very likely, maybe #1 plus in dividends per share.

To be clear, I didn't study their books, just my deduction from patterns.

it might be a mixture of bonus and a little dividend increase in other to minimize cash outflow

My people nobody is talking about the fact that it was at this junction (42K) that ASI turned back in 2014 and also earlier this year (January).

Are we at another of such turnback junction or we are about to move to the next junction of 44k.

where are all our Technical Ogas (BullbearMkt/fxuser e.t.c).

I hope some people won't get their fingers burnt with this OANDO HYPE.

Newcomers should read this thread from the beginning, OANDO has a terrible history here.

Chief there is no hyping in what i stated. it is black and white, see where i mentioned that that some people were trapped at 7 and 12 junction, also see the fact that from the information i have whenever oil goes below 70 they wld be cash negative. Plus the fact that their Debt load is killing.

Any newbie that see above and still decided to plunge in would have him/herself to blame and not anybody on the Forum.

With the entrance of climate-obsessed far left govt in Washington, it's not going to be well with US oil and Gas.
US over-production and exportation caused the oil price crash.
US Oil and OPEC are at each other's throats and when US Oil is hurting, OPEC will be thriving.
Right now OPEC is even boosting production to stop oil price from rising too fast so US Shale will keep suffering.
This is only the tip of the iceberg of my reason for optimism on Oando.
There's much much more thoughts to share when I've made significant progress loading.
Oando will be earning more to pay off debts faster.
And I'm not assuring you of angelic corporate governance, but hopefully the regulators will keep an eye on things judging from the lesson it has just been thought by SEC.
I will share more when I'm done loading, and remarks are welcome as to what I'm missing grin

Ok Chief thanks for your response. i remember Wann5 stating that the COP deal was done base on Oil Break Even Price of 60-70 range, hence Oando wld only become cash positive when Oil Price goes beyond 70 as it is presently, but that Debt load is killing they would need the price above 70 for more than a year to be able to make an appreciable dent on the debt load.

Also there would be quite some setback arnd 7 and 12 naira (if it ever get to those junction) because the last batch of people trapped boarded arnd that price range.

wld appr8 if u keep me posted when you finish loading

Thanks @bigjay01. I actually saw this Press Statement by Oando, and I am not doubting it. But I thought SEC too should issue a statement. This will prevent the claims and counter claims. When two parties come to such agreements they usually issue joint statements, or separate supporting statements.

Chief SEC also issued, you might want to check Proshare for the SEC issuance

Most of them are now converting their properties into the hotel business.

Boss i dont totally agree with this. Real Estate just like NSE had some end of it that is junk while some even in present situation is still hot cake. it depends on proper dimensioning before you go into it.

e.g. doing anything on the high end of the real estate now (whether buy or rent) could be a recipe for disaster because d major thing fueling that end is corruption / enbezzlement proceeds
