Obasanjo's primary mission is to deny Atiku any chance of becoming the president of the country. He hates him with passion |
never letting go of my 1999 honda. I have other cars but this 99 is my baby |
Why on earth will a sane society lock-down an aiport for 3 hours because a so-called VIP will be landing at the airport? The first lady of the country visit's her hometown and everywhere is locked down. What is it with all these special treatment? i can't remember the last time an airport in the united states was temporarily closed just because a so-called vip was landing there.Even the president of the united states dare not order an airport to be temporarily closed. i lived in newyork for many years and have noticed that various heads of states/governments are ordered to land at military bases and not at this main airport so as not to inconvience the average american during the United NATIONS SUMMIT(S). It is completely the opposite in our dear country. WHY ARE WE VIP CRAZY?!!!!!.... |
Only In Nigeria is a first lady treated like a queen.Nigeria is VIP CRAZY. This also happens at the airport. Image what will happen to the economy of NY if the airport is closed because Obama is landing there. It's a cultural problem. |
2 hours and am out. I wouldn't even wait for the people to say the grace. |
Diamondpicture: The truth is that the yorubans they have a way of reasoning u guys fail to forget that if there is to be a war between nigeria and any other country that it is likely to start in lagos state and the igbos in lagos we not allow you guys to fight the war alone because 80% of investment houses belongs to the igbos and other tribes you all are just shouting lagos lagos failing to know that ur lagos of awolowo and abiola is no more the lagos of today and u guys hav failed to realise that i have been in the movie industry for over 15years now and not just the movie industry but the yoruba movie industry i have over 200 yoruba movies i bought from your so called bro today the hatred is there that we are the owner of the movies but they refuse to remember when they were so hungry that we came to thier rescue why the hatred on the ibos u guys should learn to take the fact that igbos own 80% of lagosthen go back and develop your own place if u are that goood....oloriburuku |
Only an ignorant fool will ignore the historical relation between the yoruba's and the benin kingdom. It is laughable for an igbo person to say that Lagos is not a yoruba-land. This statement annoys me...A slowpoke from the east claiming a land in the west. War go soon start and you'll soon realize that Idumota and Alaba nor be the same |
LET THE TRIBAL WAR BEGIN |
like the yoruba's say "EJE MI KORO(MY BLOOD IS BITTER) |
When did it become a crime for a state to set living standard's? I am sure this people also hate the fact that he is banning okada.Just becuase the master plan of the city affect's largely igbo dominated business doesn't mean Fashola hates igbos. Nor be everybody dey fit live for Newyork.... |
Mmadu111: i cried solemnly for fellow igbos because of our insistance maginalization in Nigeria, North and West violently hate us, i think our fate is to drive our investments back home in Igbo land. Fashola is a renowned OGUMAGANA!!!They hate you but you love them with all your heart right>? |
I dont even know how to say this, just appalled by the comments in here, All I know is that a better lagos is good for everyone, be it Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba or the other ethnic groups. The last time an Igbo state sent away government workers from another Igbo state, I didnt hear this kind of defence from my Igbo brothers, Fashola's actions are not even targetted at Igbos, it cut across, we have peope sent to even osun state for Aregbe to deal . Someone was condemning his use of "host community" as if it's wrong to say that...common!!!, I'm from oyo state, I put that on any of my documents requiring state of origin, I fully acknowledge lagos as my host state and I expect every enlightened Nigerian to understand this. The other time, someone was contesting the right of the Oba of Lagos to appoint a babaloja over a market that is 99.999999999% Igbo, he was even telling him to come and contest and see if he will win, as if Babaloja is an elective post. Imagine such disrespect for some peoples' cultural and traditional structure. See If a market in Ikorodu for instance is 99.9999999% dominated by people from let's say Ikirun in Osun state and the traditional ruler decides to appoint a babaloja from a son of Ikorodu(his own advisor and minister on that market's affair) you wont here anything the best that can be done is lobby and appeal with the ruler...It is TRADITIONAL!!! I really dont blame the Igbos, In pre-colonial days when most ethnic groups were creating political structures and teaching it's populace leadership and followership via notable kingdoms like the oyo empire,Benin, sokoto e.t.c, they were still believing in every compound to it's head, hence there inability to comprehend basic cultural/political issues and always feeling every bodys' actions are targeted towards them. As for the South Eastern governors saying all sort, please if you have destitutes of Yoruba origin in your area, kindly build a skill acquisition centre in your state, detain these destitutes there for 6 months, force them to acquire a skill and send them back home to us exactly like Fashola did, we will be greatful to you and even give you a traditional title "Atun ilu se of yoruba land"
Well written my brother. The state sent away destitutes. I remember watching Fashola with one of the eastern governor tour a popular igbo dominated market in lagos. All he wants it a sane environment. Just hoping that people will be reasonable. |
I always laugh when by igbo friend's claim that lagos will be nothing without them? Question, why not take that same "business genius" of yours back to igboland and develop it? How many times will you read a slowpoke from the east say(type) that Lagos is not a yoruba land or that igbo's now control lagos? These are the kind of statements that make indigenous people angry and upset. There is nothing wrong in moving to a state and contributing to it's growth and development. My igbo friend's need to be careful and mindful of what they say. Do other tribes that live in eastern nigeria enjoy the same free business atmosphere that igbo's enjoy in lagos? Let's be candid. |

Youtube had all these movies a few years back when they allowed everybody to upload nigeria movies. I miss posters like JEJELADY AND IJINLEMAN. I just sometimes come home and way old classics like OWO BLOW, TI OLUWA NILE. SAKOBI, IZAKABBA.. but every since uploading naija movies on yoruba has been restricted to some &&&&&&& individuals, it hasn't really felt the same......Looking forward to the day when IJINLEMAN account will be "set free" by youtube |
nETWORKING!!! |
I guess prison is the new training ground for future president's |
Lookin forward to the day when an hausa man will win an election in the eastern part of nigeria based on merits and his vision for the country. |
I wonder how many nairalander's are proud to be a nigerian after reading about our dear senate. Don't you just love "your" country. |
It is sad to read and watch nigerians protest against a law that hasn't been signed into law yet by President Jonathan. I hope those screaming and yelling understand that the president has the power under the constitution to veto a bill. Those protesting a bill that hasn't been signed into law need to stay clam until the president either veto's the bill or signs it into law |
All I can tell you is that I need prayer and a special deliverance... ![]() |
THE SAME PEOPLE THAT WERE YELLING AND SCREAMING THAT THE "LONDON HEAD CUTTER" WASN'T A NIGERIA BECAUSE HE WAS BORN AND RAISED IN THE UK AND NOW JUMPING,CLAPPING AND CLAIMING "WONDAGIRL" AS ONE OF THEM WHEN SHE IS CLEARLY A CANADIAN CITIZEN. AWON OMO ARAYE |
Bleep THE BET AWARDS.AFRICANS NEED TO STOP SHOWING UP FOR THAT GHETTO AWARDS IF THEY ARE NOT GOING TO PRESENTED WITH THE AWARD ON LIVE TELEVISION. |
I AM SO HAPPY THAT REAL FOOTBALL IS BACK. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF EM' SPANISH SHORT PASSING GAME. I WANT THE 90'S FOOTBALL BACK. THE ONE ON ONE PLAY, LONG PASSING, 1-2 FREE FLOWING BALL AND NOT THE BS THE SPANISH TEAM HAS INFECTED FOOTBALL WITH. I HOPE ALL FOOTBALL TEAMS LEARN FROM BRAZILS BLUE PRINT. YOU CAN'T ALLOW SPAIN TO PASS THE BALL AROUN( I HATE THAT STYLE OF PLAY) |
Been living abroad for more than 20 years. Where is nigeria again? |
