Long distance is the best for people that don't like their partners breathing down their necks at every opportunity. You need a lot of trust though to make it work (nothing that the opposite of it doesn't require too...technically) and sure can see yourselves, time after time. Long distance relationship doesn't always translate to being kept apart from each other totally. It could mean that you just have to go quite a long distance, "every time", to see your better half. undecided

as for Obama not coming to Naija, thank God he is not coming, so he wont come n declare abortion, same sex marriage, n co. Legal, bye bye[/quote]Abi? The whole thing is really funny. Did naija turn "unsafe" only yesterday? When did he plan the visit and when did his brain process the insecure state of our naija? Abegi, true or not, he should go lick some soup with his snotty self. No one needs to be a president to feel unsafe these days in the US and we don't hear a lot of people whining. Americans may fly him to the moon where fleas can't even perch on his burger, for all we care. But his bell must toll, when it must.

Freiburger: The situation in the US is not that bad that Obama can easily be targeted in the us soil, compared to how exposed he is in a Nigerian soil.
Na so. And boko boys have still not succeeded in killing Jonathan with all the exposure and their burning passion to have his head.

This is just funny. Obama. Scared of insecure Nigeria. When America is the targeted enemy of the entire world.

I hear. grin

EventsRe: What Can One Use For Wedding Souvenirs And Gifts That Is Presentable by Rocktation(mod):
I'm guessing you want to share these for just anybody and not only aso-ebi people.
I suggest back-scratchers. They are little fancy plastic sticks attached to plastic fingers-like ends, which actually do the scratching magic. Its concept is to reach every contour and corner of your back, without anyone's help and without getting sweat and dirt into your nails. It's one of the things i shared at a wedding and i found that men and women together really like and clamored for it. I got it in Lagos market and it went for N950 per dozen. The lady claimed it goes for N120 though, if sold singly. The thing though, is you might not be able to print 'courtesy of the couple' on it.

Again, you can just print your faces on your small bottled water and just leave it at that. That way, you could be killing two birds with a stone.

FamilyRe: HELP!!! I Just Caught A Scorpion In My Kids Bathroom. by Rocktation(f):
Yeah Op, couldn't agree more with your research. Cos only a few Lagosians back in the day, had testified to having been stung by scorpions, but lived through, without seeing a medic. Only 25 out of the 2000 spp, just has to make sense. But indeed, ALL scorpions are venomous, but the venoms of just that 25, are lethal to humans.

Anyway, if fumigation, removal of stones, grass, bricks, trash, and any thing damp/cold/stale, still don't work, you might wanna pay more attention to how to deal with an actual sting- just incase you don't get to your kids, fast enough.

Apply alcohol to the stung area to neutralize any kind of toxin, there might be. The venom's what incites the allergic reactions in fatal cases. The swelling can be taken care of with ice. The allergic reactions that usually require medics' attention include dizziness, blurry vision, muscle contractions, numbness, severe itching...
You may also eat freshly cut onions (it's a good protector of the NS).

So take note and spare yourself any unnecessary fuss and expenses. Cos visiting a doc may only earn you a painkiller's prescription for the swelling and that'd be all.
