COOLDUN: These apes that believe that their ancestor fell down from the sky with a broom and calabash will never wake up and face the realities of the 21st century. They are still living in the 1st century, while still claiming to be educated, I wonder how these people would have been, if they were not educated with a confiscated money from one section of the country.
Why in this modern time someone is wasting the lives of innocent people in the name of money ritual? Who told them that money ritual is real? Though if a tribe’s existence is based on lie/fable stories, which all of the people believe to an extend that it is written in the history books , why won’t they believe it, even if they were told that their grandfathers were transformed from women to men.
They have changed from diverting innocent bus travelers in their cities to their evil forests to the robbing of newly born babies in the hospitals.
Now I can believe a testimony of One of the escaped victims of the evil forest ritualists wrote how he and co army officer in the bus with guns overpowered ritualists/agents and slaughtered them including their village partners in rituals who always pretend to be helpers to the lucky escaped victims; he said that he and the co army officer pretended to be asleep when they blew their powdered substance in the bus, and made sure that they were proved beyond reasonable doubt that they were ritualists, when they were about to enter into the Sagamu/Lagos express way evil forest, when the bus slowed down because of the bad road, the army officer blew off the driver’s head which made the bus to fell in a ditch, before the other ritualists could know it they have surrendered them with their guns, shooting them on their heads, and tortured the remaining who pointed at the other females patners in the bus that pretended to be victims too. While they were toturing them they started showing them their villagers co ritualists too.
The army guys said that if they took them to the authorities they would be freed by their high placed patronizers so they decided to waste the ones they caught and freed the genuine passengers in the bus and fled the scene too.
I can see that the bus travelers are wiser and well prepared nowadays, that is why they have resorted to invading the hospitals.
I believe that this has made them to change their method by invading the hospitals in their towns, as foolish gullible people they are. Why should a man kill his fellow human being for money ritual? And their people would be claiming that other section of the country is desperate for money?
I would advise other people to leave these clowns to continue killing/wasting their new generation by killing them for senseless reasons so that they will seize to exist very soon. Keep on killing yourselves and point your fingers at other people.
GBOMO GBOMO. CARRY GO. What kind of human being thinks like this? Myths abound in almost every culture and civilization. From the Greeks to the Aborigines of Australia. Only a hopelessly ignorant YAHOO will think like you. Crimes abound in every clime. From primitive Bushmen of South Africa to the civilized societies of Europe, you will find crime. Therefore, your mindset is debased. You wrote from the shallowness of your wisdom and the height of your stupidity. |

daz_york: Sorry, whose classification would that be? They were NUBIANS - the sort of Blacks you can still find in Sudan and Mali/Senegal/Gambia. Even darker skinned than you. I think you should educate yourself more on this topic instead of just commenting to get yourself noticed. The internet isn't your personal diary. Take it easy Mr Know It All. Driving home a point shouldn't come with abuses. Be cultured and refined. For your information, the Nubians where settlers of southern Egypt and northern Sudan. They were not predominantly a part of ancient Egypt. Though it remains controversial, yet, it is wrong to conclude ancient Egyptians were blacks. |

Tayeni: the suddenness of the industrial revolution is not like the "big bang theory". It didn't happen in a vacuum. There were a lot of explorations, discoveries, inventions, renaissance going on then. Then these activities reached a critical mass that was necessary for the birth of the industrial age. You hit the point, bro. The industrial revolution was only a part of a long process of development. It isn't sudden at all. |

ROSSIKE: Blacks were explorers, conquerors, inventors and invaders long before the whites. In fact THOUSANDS of years before the whites. Whites are newcomers to civilisation in historical terms. The pyramids and temples of Egypt and Sudan are thousands of years older than any European monuments. Meaning of course that blacks were the first architects, mathematicians, surveyors, scientists, physicists etc. And why have you decided to tag the Egyptians as blacks? My brother, they are Caucasians by classification. |

Joshthefirst: you think they lack substance because you're too proud. God opposes the proud. Its a wonder sometimes that one can't see the simplicity of salvation. You think you might be smart by classifying christianity as a religion and calling its members foolhardy and stupid and unintelligent, but before God, you're a man who thinks himself to be wise. I advise you to be careful sir, drop the pride. The very fact that you're parading yourself to be critical and cute says something is wrong. Don't let a circumstance wake you up to reality when its too late.
Jesus never liked proud people. And God shall never accept them in his kingdom. God, Jesus, the kingdom, salvation, etc. are the concepts I have chosen not to believe in, therefore, using them as the nucleus of your discussion holds no water. |

Joshthefirst: well, he'd boldly tell you you were given the chance to believe in him, but you refused. And you'll be condemned to hell because of your sins.
Sin must be punished. Man stands guilty. God has given the way of salvation: Jesus Christ. With him, we escape wrath and condemnation of hell because of our sins and we're given the gift of salvation because of God's mercy. I have heard such sermons over and over again in the past but they all lack the substance required to convince a cute and critical mind like mine. We cannot all be gullible. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is The Bible Edited And Revised? by Rogers210(m): 8:12pm On Oct 16, 2013 |
plaetton: Definitions: Revise-To reconsider and change or modify. to amend or alter.
Edit-To prepare (written material) for publication or presentation, as by correcting, revising, or adapting.
Edition-.one of a series of printings of the same book, newspaper, etc., each issued at a different time and differing from another by alterations, additions, etc ...
Redaction: -Redaction is a form of editing in which multiple source texts are combined ( redacted) and altered slightly to make a single document.
The entire body of christianity rests rests solely on the words written in the Bible. To Christians, the bible is the inerrant words of god, inspired and dictated to by the holy spirit.
Therefore, for christians, the bible explains origin, creation, history, priesthood, rules and commandments, as well as salvation and punishment.
To Christians, the bible is :
1. The word of god. 2. Sacred 3. Truthful and factual. 4. Perfect and non-contradictory. 5. Complete and Sufficient.
With all these attributes in mind, it is kind of confusing to note that starting from early days of the christian movement, the bible has undergone many many major redactions, editings and revisions by various self-appointed bodies or groups of men.
In fact, no major religion that we know ever revises or edits it's sacred scriptures from time to time.
What is even more ironic and puzzling is the fact original manuscripts or scrolls which would have served as a genuine template fro these revisions or editions do not exist anywhere , nor have they been mentioned or cited in any theological literature, past and present.
Apart from the glaring and obvious contradiction in editing and revising god's complete words, my question is: who qualifies and what criteria or template are the additions and subtractions based on?
Who is competent enough, equally wise or wiser than the supposed author of these great literary works?
Are revisions done for Truth or for Ecclesiastical Agendas?
Is an edited or revised truth still truth?
If the bible is 100% whole, 100% complete, and 100% inspired truth, then when it is edited, revised, redacted, etc, it can no longer be 100% whole and 100% truth. If you add or subtract anything from 100%, then common sense says that it can no longer remain 100%. The new revised product is either 110% or 90%, more or less than the original starting material.
Since the bible has undergone countless number of revisions( very strange for a supposedly perfect works of god) over the years, what might be the percentage of wholeness, completeness and truth in today's current editions of the christian bible? 150% or 50%? More or less? It has got to be either. You cannot alter something, and still expect it to remain same. That would be cognitive desonance.
What is even more hilarious(for want of a better word) is the fact that in this great literary work, different editions and versions are circulating simultaneously. That makes little sense for supposedly perfect and complete words of an omini omni lone superpower of the universe.
Even renowned pervert, Jimmy Swaggart, has his own Jimmy Swaggart Bible, edited in his own words.
How many versions of one truth can you have? When truth is divided into so many different versions, is it still the whole truth, or just partial-truth?
Can Christians come and enlighten us , please. If we go back through history, you will agree with me that the bible was the handiwork of some institutions that wanted to establish their authority, plain and simple. Religious individuals are simply the ones that are too dumb to think and challenge. Up ATHEISTS. |
