rozayx5: march will make it one year since a person won election , and the only new developments are a wayo budget, the dasukigate and chase, i wonder when they will even lay the foundation of their first refinery and then build their imaginative 4 refineries. Funny enough the zombies are all focused on the media trials while the economy goes to the dogs, oil fell below 30$ yesterday and this goat called buhari is investing more on oil exploration , a stupid lowlife president who cant present a common budget and used 6 months to appoint his angels, will take 200 years to build 1 km of roads. by the end of his tenure Nigerians wont be asking about dasuki or metuh but what you achieved So with all this sense you get you still blame buhari for fall in crude oil price? I give up on you. |

All your elders that made this same statements last year are now flocking to Apc today. One even said calling Apc an Islamic party was a joke. What do you mean UAE of all places? Pmb has been to Europe and America and has solicited for support and help in recovering all looted Nigerian monies wherever in the world. Infact the UAE moves is one of the best in the fight against corruption. Do you think he went there just like that? He knows what thieves of our money have in UAE that's why he has to sign the agreement with them to recover our money. |

Shymm3x: In as much as that looks more like Trafalgar Square than the White House (Then again it might be around the National Mall and Washington Monument axis) - I honestly don't know why some Yoruba folks can't let these people be.
It seems a lot of folks are oblivious to the fact that Nigeria is bankrupt and it's only a matter of time before it implodes. So if certain folks want to leave the cesspit, either by hook or by crook - why can't you let them be? Or are Yorubas so messed up these days that they don't believe that they can survive without Igbos cos it is starting to look like that?
You have a people who have been stuck in the 60s cos of Nigeria, yet they are the biggest proponent of the shiithole. If that isn't a classic case of Stockholm Syndrome, I don't know what it is. Or what have Yorubas achieved collectively since the 60s cos pictures of all Yoruba states, apart from Lagos aren't nothing to be proud of. Then almost all the states are heavily indebted and it is only going to get worse due to how bankrupt Nigeria is right now.
Anyway, there are tons of Yorubas out there who wouldn't mind donating in whatever capacity to the Biafran cause, if Igbos can develop a proper strategy that won't alienate those in the South and maintain territorial integrity. Igbos need to start reaching out cos apart from the cows and cow jockeys feasting on free grass in the zoo - the country is a disaster. Shame on you and your double mouth, here you are admitting that Nigeria is broke yet whenever the government says this and blame the past government for it ,you create threads upon threads bashing the government and shouting discrimination .after embezzeling money made when oil price was high you now want to leave the country now that the oil price has dropped............typical ibo........Shame on you all |

Some of the sources of Apc campaign funds include voluntary donations by supporters ,contributions by party members and well wishers and party big wigs . Guys, the nation is crumbling and we are fueling it with our hypocrisy. Anti corruption fight is killing this country because it is not done sincerely. All those of us shouting jail them, I am sure most of us have not collected last month's salary yet under the so called corruption era, our salaries were being paid duly, money was circulating. We keep smiling and suffering, we know we are not okay with it yet because some people are supporting it, we decide to join to our detriment. Let us stop being hypocritical and call a spade a spade. This is not how to fight corruption. All other sectors are not suppose to be on a stand still because we are fighting corruption. What the government is doing is trying to decorate a room in a burning house. When everything crumbles finally, the same leaders will leave the country with their family while you supporting them will be left to suffer it. LET US STOP BEING HYPOCRITICAL, LET US CALL THE GOVERNMENT TO ORDER, THIS IS NOT HOW TO FIGHT CORRUPTION. Another lieing wailer. if workers were receiving their salary as at when due under the previous administration how come 27 states were owing workers as at May 29 2015. HighIQ: As you all know that the situation of power supply in Nigeria currently is nothing to write home about. The power supply is presently very and extremely poor with some place struggling between 4 to 6 hrs power supply per day. Psychologically , President Buhari giving a crucial ministry like "power" to someone alongside works and housing may show that the man may not really be interested in Power supply. Considering how poor power sector is. Unlike other sector like Health ministry, Education, Finance etc. that have their seperate ministry on their own. Why did president Buhari merge a very important sector like POWER that is so important with Ministry of housing and works? All to be controlled by a man, Mr fashola, may show the low intetest of Mr president in the having a stable power supply in this country. The ministry of power should be a seperate ministry on its own, to be controlled by a Minister for Power and not Minister of POWER, WORKS AND HOUSING. So the minister can focus on the power sector more adequately OR what do you think? lalasticlala The reason is simple ,a lot of money has been pumped into the power sector in the past with little result . What the power sector needs is someone that can get things done. Recall sometime ago the customs raised alarm about the abandonment of hundreds of container of electricity equipments at the ports and even offer to release them duty free. The power sector needs to be made to work and I believe fashola can do it . |

HopeAtHand: @bolded shows how myopic your post is. Never knew it takes turns for tribes to produce ministers in ministry of finance. Yorubas and Igbos are really making it very difficult for sincere comments to be made.
Like her predecessor, Kemi Adeosun is the Federal Minister of Finance and will be put to public scrutiny by all Nigerians if her economic policies do not reflect positively on the wellbeing of Nigerians. Wether shes your cousin or aunt or whatever emotional attachment you have does not concern us. She is appointed to serve all. Finance minister of Nigeria isnt the same as Finance commissioner of Ogun state.
I believe she can't work magic overnight and should be given time to access her performance. but the OP is also right to say his opinion as he sees it. The Op is the tribal bigot. Ask him how many times has he criticized Noi? NOI is a hero not just for ibos but I respect her ,the Op is mischevious in his assertions and I'm left with no other option than to conclude that the attack is aginst her being Yoruba, ibos never believe anyone else can do anything. I personally don't care from where any govt official comes from but I'm more concerned what the person can do. This is not the time for fielding sister, girlfriend or quota or even political settlement. If Nigeria must survive then we must shun all this tribalism and bring our best brains our tested hands to do the job. it doesn't matter from where the person comes as long as he/she can deliver. PMB at this stage in life owes Nigeria that if he cannot do that will be a great disservice. He has the golden opportunity to be the hero of our time. Engage able bodied and competent youths let us help him to write his name in gold, but if he succumbs to the gullible old crooks that have wrecked our country he too will go down the dustbin of history like the other ones. RareDiamond: It is no longer news that the great Igbo people are true promoters of unity in Nigeria with the Igbos developing far away lands where they reside across Nigeria and West Africa. The wisdom, intelligence, brilliance, tolerance and ingenuity of the hard working Igbo people are not in doubt.
Lagos have been and is still the major non Igbo state beneficiary of Igbo developmental contributions with Igbos rapidly developing the real estate, commercial, manufacturing, entertainment, education and other socioeconomic structures of Lagos State. Thereby, greatly boosting the Lagos economy by the income generated from huge Igbo paid tax, provision of employment opportunities for Lagos residents by the large number of Igbo Industrialist and business men and women, provision of luxury and affordable accommodation which beautify Lagos unlike other Yoruba states, provision of social amenities like potable water, roads, health care and scholarships by the Igbos to Lagos resident as well as boost the quality of education by provision of quality private schools.
One of the major reason Lagos is the economic center of Nigeria is because the Igbos developed the manufacturing sector and control the Lagos markets and continue to invest and spend on the Lagos economy thereby improving the overall purchasing power of the Lagos economy.
I make bold to state that Lagos would have been under developed like other Yoruba states if not for the numerous vital Igbo contributions to its economy. Ask yourself why Abeokuta and Ibadan is backward and under developed despite being close to Lagos and being Yoruba regional headquarter respectively. This is an insult to the various other tribes like the edos, the ijaws, the urhobos ,the hausas ,the fulani, the kanuri the tivs, idomas, who collectively made Lagos what it is and the accomodating nature of the yorubas . |
Politics › Re: Arms Probe Deal: Bakare Calls For The Arrest Of CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele by Rolings: 7:36am On Jan 11, 2016 |
MalcoImX: Fiery preacher and general overseer of The Latter Ran Assembly, Lagos, Pastor Tunde Bakare has released his state of the nation address tagged ”Roadmap to successful change”.
Pastor Tunde Bakare is known for consistently contributing his opinion to topical issues Bakare, 61, who was the running mate to President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2011 presidential elections under the banner of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), called for the prosecution of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emiefiele, because of the role of the apex bank in the widely publicised ongoing arms probe deal.
Pastor Bakare is a known ally of President Muhammadu Buhari According to The Cable, Bakare accused the CBN of contributing negatively to the Nigerian economy, adding that Emefiele should be booted out of office and prosecuted.
Is Godwin Emiefiele’s job on the line? He said: “The government must examine carefully, the argument of economists, that sound monetary policy including proper management of the exchange rate regime by the CBN would eliminate the need for subsidies.
“The intricate connection between monetary policy on the one hand and the fuel subsidy debate on the other, makes the management of the CBN a major concern.
“To the discerning, the CBN currently contributes negatively to the Nigerian state in more ways than one. Firstly, the CBN has become a conduit for politicians to drain the nation.
“Otherwise, how can a letter of barely two paragraphs addressed to the current CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, by the then National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) , become the Authority to Incur Expenditure (AIE) leading to cash flow of $47 million (US dollars) and several millions of euros? “In decent climes, the CBN Governor cannot continue in office while the NSA is accounting for his alleged misdeeds.”
