If what is happening in bayelsa happens in the north, nairaland will be awash with hate speeches and stories of how some people are parasites and slaves. Bayelsa has 8 local governments, less than the number of Lg in Ibadan or kano city yet bayelsa has 3 senators like other states, one of the senators has only 2 local governments in his senatorial district. Why wont a ben murray bruce share half his allowance on widows in his constituency if there are so few widows he caters for. Some senators constituency is bigger than the whole bayelsa State yet They collect the same amount of salary and allowances, some may say ehn lets leave them its their oil money we are all spending RUBBISH Like i used to argue during the days of millitancy days, the millitants should hold their leaders accountable for all the problems in the Niger delta already a large chunk of oil revenue goes back to the oil producing communities via 13% derivation, nddc, ministry of Niger delta and amnesty programme. Senator Ben Murray Bruce as a senator represents such a small number of people that he can even afford to pay all widows there from his pocket,, abeg he should let us hear word, he is doing nothing spectacular. |
Politics › Re: If FG Starts Paying N5,000 To Unemployed Graduates In 2016,then You Need This by Rolings: 11:38am On Dec 05, 2015 |
gr8tness: Dear Nairalanders,
The Federal Government under Muhammadu Buhari intends to pay 5000 to unemployed graduates in 2016. The first temptation is to think that the amount is meager and insufficient to meet ones daily needs. Though this amount is little, but there are certain possibilities to it. Come to think of it, most unemployed graduates are living as a dependant and probably not providing for their needs. In some other cases, some husslers have one or two ideas they put to work to make ends meet. If this is the case, N5000 can become a stepping stone for something better.
Saving N5000 for 5 Months is N30,000; Saving for 10 Months is N50,000. Surprisingly, there are a number of businesses in Nigeria you can startup with N30,000-50,000 and with a strategic plan, you can start growing your business and transform that small business (as it seems in your eyes) to a mega business venture. Remember that subsequent N5,000 becomes an addition to your business. With 5,000 per month in one year, you can set a credible future from it. It all starts with planning, once you are able to put up a credible plan, then youre on your way to succeed.
The money may not be sufficient to start your dream business, but you can startup with one business, make sufficient income and later shift over to your dream business. this is Raising your capital by growing it. This is not rocket science, it is a simple principle that has saw most small scale businesses in Nigeria expand beyond limit.
The Starting Point is,,,,,,, Have a Business Plan.... for such small scale business, Brics International Resource Solutions provides a business architecture that will ensure that your small business grows beyond limit. Report shows that 80% of Nigerian business fails before they are 2 years... thats very true because 90% of businesses in Nigeria especially small scale business does not have a business plan. You cannot succeed in business by mere thoughts, wishes or imagination, even with sufficient capital, your Business Plan is the path that can lead to your goal.
The buiness plan will help conceptualize your business, determine startup strategy, come up with operational plan, calculate your startup cost, revenue potential etc, develop marketing strategies to ensure that that small business idea (seed) grows to become a large scale business. This business plans are very affordable, dependable and bankable. So prepare for the future by starting today, get a business plan from an organisation that has the foresight to share this tip with you.
To Order, Contact us via our 247 Global Chatlines Whatsapp: +234-706-818-0074 BBM: 22A8CB74 Blog: bricsinternational..com.
We would like to hear from you..... the best way to predict the future is to create it. Just that Business Plan is all you need to start your second income career. Save your scheme, the Federal Government never said and will not pay 5000 to unemployed graduates but will provide social protection to poor and vulnerable family but introducing a conditional cash transfer of 5000 monthly to them upon proof of enrollment of their children in school and proof of immunization of their children. A similar scheme was piloted by Obj through NAPEP and the scheme was ongoing until recently when NAPEP was scrapped. |

Career › Re: The Hard Truth About Your Salary by Rolings: 3:23pm On Dec 03, 2015 |
Nihilist: This article is so wrong I dont even know where to begin
1. The average employee typically works a 5 day week or roughly 20 days in month. I completely disgree with the premise of the OP's dubious calculations, but even if the calculations were grounded in some sort of logic, shouldn't the OP be dividing by 20 instead of 30?
2. The OP also misses the point by comparing an employee and his steady income to Hawkers,Truckers etc with their irregular cash flow. Again I doubt the veracity of his stats with regards to the earnings of hawkers, truckers and co, but even if the stats were true, The OP still fails to consider that even though the Hawker could earn 2000 Naira in a day, he/she is not guaranteed an income of 120k per month unlike the Banker
The crux of the OP's assertion is Business Owners have the potential to earn more than employees. The OP fails to consider the level of risk that these entrepreneurs are exposed to.
For the vast majority of people, it is better to go to work and be guaranteed your 300k monthly salary jejely, than to go and out hustle with no true knowledge of when the next paycheck is coming. You spoke my mind, These kind of articles come from people who have done shoddy research. The Op assumes everyone must be an enterpreneur if so then who will the enterpreneur empoy? Fact is we all won't have white collar job and we all wont be enterpreneurs. Its the harsh economic conditions that make Nigerians reason like this, how can the Op say a Truckpusher is better off than a banker? Besides the Op only calculates the earning of the Pure Water seller, truck pusher etc and not their profit. The thing is most of them incur about half of their earnings in cost while most office workers incur only transport cost. To me , the Op is so wrong. |

Go to threads where Igbos committed crimes and that where Yorubas committed crimes and then with all sincerity, check the one with more tribal and more hate filled comments directed to the entire tribe where the culprit hails from.
It's not news that crimes committed by Igbos are usually the ones that extend to about 20 pages due to hate filled comments coming from your likes. Yet you prefer to turn the truth on its head. Keep deceiving yourself, thinking there are more bigots in a tribe than in your own tribe. We aren't new to all that crap. After all, you lots did similar nonsense before the elections and tagged Igbos as the enemies of progress when they rejected your god Buhari. Might have been me though Many people feel same about that man, even people from his zone only supported his ministerial nomination cos doing otherwise will deny the zone a strong federal appointment. I feel he may have a chance because of his closeness to Buhari but then that is not a guarantee the people of oyo state will vote him |

PassingShot: Ajimobi got elected for two main reasons which are unconnected to his mediocre performance: 1. His challengers were not necessarily better alternatives. Ladoja was revealed to have secretly returned stolen monies through EFCC and people tightly became disappointed in him. Akala and Folarin are nothing to write about not to talk of Makinde who was a novice at that level.
2. Popularity of Sai Buhari and his change mantra really helped him and many others like him then.
My major worries are beyond his tenure. They extend to finding a better governor after him. I worry about finding a better governor to take over from Ajimobi too. Oyo state is a complex State with diverse interests, if there will be fairness and justice the Oke Ogun zone should produce the next governor but who from that zone has enough political clout to defeat a strong Ibadan or ogbomosho candidate, i don't know of anyone. Lanlehin would have been the perfect choice but his political career is doomed as a result of his impatience and allowing Ladoja to deceive him into decamping from APC to accord. Me think Ajimobi sucessor will come from among the 2 male senators and the Minister. |

Mynd44: There is a reason that Ajimobi got re-elected(a feat which had never happened before) and it is not because he spent 4 years doing nothing. He is one of the governors who are less and less interested in getting into media hype and thibgs like that.
Yes in every place, there is room for improvement but Ajimobi has done well to improve way Onto state looks and he had a lot of capital projects too.
It is never late to set policies and this night just be a continuation o policy already set Ajimobi may not have performed well in the Agricultural sector and some other sector in his first tenure but he performed well in areas he concentrated like urban renewal, roads, environmental sanitation esp in Ibadan, welfare of State workers and Security. He made it clear that his second term will focus on human capital development, Agriculture, Education and other areas. He is not one to go about with pressmen showing projects, his work is speaking for him, he is a blessing to oyo state, even his political enemies acknowledge this. #proudlyajimobisupporter |
