The Nigerian Customs are fund of killing each other by spiritual means in order to attain or occupy a rival post You must belong to a cult or be a very strong Christian or Muslim and pray very hard in order not to be killed untimely by any spritirual mean.

manitobor: On the first of April 2019, I boarded an intra-city vehicle and dropped at my destination unaware that a guy sitting beside me in the bus had stolen my phone from my pocket. The bus I boarded had picked the guy on the way and he sat next to me. I had no inkling at all that he had the intention of picking my pocket though something told me that this guy's way 'no pure' as he was casting uncanny and surreptitious glances towards my direction, with a weird look on his face. Little did I know he was busy with my pocket.
It was several minutes after I had alighted at my destination that I realised that my smartphone was missing from my pocket. I used a friend's phone to dial my number and found out that the criminal had already switched it off. I resigned to fate knowing fully well that my chances of getting back the phone was slim. I however kept dialling my number till evening, it was still switched off. 6 AM in the morning of 2nd April I dialled my number again and it was ringing but wasn't picked up at the other end. After a few more attempts, the rogue switched off the phone again.
I decided to contact MTN that day to block the line, which they did. However, to my chagrin, when I went to the ATM that same morning to make a withdrawal, I found out the my account balance had changed and that the criminals have succeeded in withdrawing some thousands of Naira from my account. I rushed inside the bank immediately and blocked the account.
What I am still dazed about is how it's possible for criminals to withdraw money from someone's bank account just by getting hold of the sim card. Mind you, my phone can only be accessed via a PIN, so the possibility of them making a transfer using my bank's mobile app is ruled out. So how did they do it?
Has anyone ever been victim of such? Please share so others can learn.
Mods, can you please move to front page so others can learn? Thanks. Your phone can only be accessed by punching pins that is fine but can your SIM card too be accessed by pressing pins ? Because he could have removed your SIM card to another phone to carry out transfers on your account using those short codes.

ollybyte: Hello,
Please let me share my experience and little overview on the Prepaid Meter functionality. I recently got the hardware from CLOU (CL710K11) installed by another vendor for IKEDC.
I won't be going into months of prolonged battle for getting this mete,r but rather i would pointer to the facts that the partner agent that did the installation was rude and not welcoming. The guy refused to share any knowledge about the operation of the system including basic users manual for some operation., This informed my research to the manufacturer web and other vendors like HEXING producing similar brands of electric prepaid meter to understand the operation.
This meter type is UIU pluged in model without any card slots but equally uses token based refill.
Below are some of available user friendly functions.
USSD / CODE Function 01+Ent Total Consumed Energy 03+Ent 17 23.48 Date/HH:Mm 04+Ent Voltage 05+Ent Daily Usage 06+Ent Total Purchased Energy 07+Ent Energy Bal 031+Ent Daily Usage 041+Ent Panel Opening Sensor Start Date /Setup Date 53 Last Comm time/check time 54 Last Comm time/check time 55 Last Ss time 56 Previous day Last Ss time 57 Previous day Last Ss time 59 Commissioning Timestamp 60 Commissioning Timestamp 61 Start Date /Setup Date 065+Ent Meter No 71 Date 76 Current Token 77 Previous Token 83 Current Units 84 Previous Units 99 Meter No
Please share more available findings.
Regards Very informative, I also got my own prepaid meter installed some months ago with 100 unit of credit which would be deducted when the meter has been commissioned, I went thru a lot of stress before I could successfully get the prepaid meter installed in my home It's really worth having a prepaid meter in your home, PHCN used to give me estimated bill of 7,000 to 10,000 naira monthly but I used to pay 5,000 naira every month despite this, they are not still satisfied, I almost got engaged in a physical combat with one of their staff because how can be paying 5k every month consistently and yet they still disconnect my house from power supply this got be upset and pushed to have a prepaid meter 100 unit is just 2,500 naira and I was able to use it for more than a month, I think 1 month and few days So it's really worth having a prepaid meter because I pay for what I consume

Hence o can not drive on uber again..i was showed the person's picture. i dont even know him. pls what can i do to be able to go active
thanks Try to remember if someone has told you to snap and send your driver lisence to him or her before, the act is usually carried out by the people working with uber, I remember one almost forced me to snap and send my drivers lisence to him after telling him that my uber account is active and there are no way I could be driving with expired drivers lisence. So just try to remember if someone has requested for your driver's lisence before

Uber is too greedy they just don't want to give up on that 25% commission they get from drivers despite the fact that they are loosing the market, they even want to reduce drivers population on their platform, any wrong doing will result to deactivation of account. In addition, no more boost again 1.1x and 1.2x has been cancelled.

taxiappguy: Hello everyone, So anybody that knows me knows how active I am with ride share issues. I have closely followed and participated in all ride share sectors. I have driven on the platform, I have managed vehicles on the platform and I have used it as a rider. I have written a book about Uber and blog about the company constantly. It's safe to say that I have been closely involved with Uber since they came to Nigeria.
I have been referring people to the Uber referral program since 2016. The referral program is for partners who refer other partners and when the people referred get to 50 trips with their cars, Uber pays the referrer 10,000. I have referred more than 50 people to the program and at least 10 have gone on to become successful referrals. So imagine my surprise when it turns out it seems they are trying to scam me by claiming I am trying to scam them, simply because they don't want to pony up my money. I went to their office to ask why my referral earnings have not been paid and they claim I have been blocked since April 2018. Which is a blatant lie as I have referred and received referral earnings even this year. They claim that my referrals get to 50 trips (which is the requirement) but never get to hundred trips, the lady said because of this I must be fraudulent because "why don't my referrals get to 100 trips". I reminded her that the threshold is 50. I'm writing this to let everyone know that is seems Uber is engaging in fraudulent activities by withholding my funds while claiming I am fraudulent. I am writing this to let everyone know not to participate in the Uber partner referral program because they will find an arbitrary reason not to pay you eventually. Cheers, Taxi App Guy. Good observation my dear brother, I have just refer two people and I av started to notice that they are planning to block me too, they are just finding all possible ways to get me blocked
My brother u could sue them to the court of law you no

Uber realized that drivers are now driving more with Taxify and on other platform hereby affecting uber business yet uber does not want to increase there fare the best think is let us all shun uber for now, migrate to Taxify major uber competitor, you can use uber for repositioning alone and for trip destination, let us all cooperate let's do this for a month or two and let's see how uber will survive.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria has urged the Federal Government and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to ensure that private depot owners maintain the official ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) at N133.28 per litre.
The Chairman, IPMAN, Ore Depot, Mr Shina Amoo, who said this in an interview with our correspondent in Lagos on Monday, stated that independent marketers might soon start selling beyond N145 per litre if depot owners continued to sell between N136.50 and N137 per litre.
Amoo urged the NNPC to prevail on depot owners not to sell beyond the official ex-depot price in order to enable marketers to sell to consumers at N145 per litre.
He said, “Private depot owners have increased the ex-depot price of PMS beyond N133.28 per litre. We bought a litre of PMS between N136.50 and N137 per litre from private depot owners last weekend. This can affect the pump price at which independent marketers will sell the product, and it will certainly be beyond the N145, which is the official pump price.
“We, independent marketers, are law-abiding. We don’t want to sell above the official pump price and that is why we are urging the government to do something about it and make the product abundantly available. They should monitor private depot owners to make sure they don’t sell above the official ex-depot price of N133.28.
“The NNPC is the sole importer and nobody has the right to increase the price but if they continue to sell to us above the official ex-depot price, we will have no option than to increase the pump price above N145 per litre. The increase in price by private depot owners will eventually push the burden on the marketers and final consumers.”
Amoo lauded the Federal Government for the rehabilitation of the Ilorin Depot of the NNPC while urging it to revive the Ore Depot as well in order to reduce the problem of transportation of petroleum products and to create more jobs in the area.
The NNPC Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Mr Ndu Ughamadu, had in a statement dated March 30 warned private depot owners against increasing the ex-depot price.
He said, “The subsisting ex-depot petrol price of N133. 28k per litre was consistent with the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency’s template and should be adhered to.”
Ughamadu stated that NNPC held stock of over one billion litres, adding that imports of 48 vessels of 50 million litres each had been committed for the month of April alone.

QuitNotice: On a short trip of 7H, rider has told me the story of my life, trying to defend her earlier statement that "all drivers are thieves". I had tried to explain to her how these things work, but she rudely cut me short. Got to drop off, ended trip and saw 700. She insisted the trip estimate was 5H. That I had managed to inflate the fares one way or another, that all drivers are thieves, bla bla bla. She brought out 5H and outrighly rejected it. She roared that she was not going to add a kobo. At this point, dispute resolvers were already strolling towards us like they were waiting for us (maybe because babe flashy die ). I told her I can even leave the money for her. She said fine, and walked away (shaking nyash). Got in the car, slammed the door (out of anger) and zoomed off. Positioned and went to check the owner's corner if it's in order for next rider. Ah, babe forgot her baq! As for me and my family, babe's coming to the mainland (Ojodu ) to pick it. So you did not collect the 500H from her, but I think you should have collected it then her bag which she left behind will compensate for the rest of the money |
