point of correction there hot-angel. A man musn't always do what his girl wants him and tells him to do, or else she'll turn him into a first-class ode. It's a two-way thing. If the guy continues doing things the girl demands, she'll end up taking advantage of the guy and therefore lose respect for him. A girl is like a baby and must atimes be handled with a strong fist or else she'll go astray.

dts very correct,d girl will take him 4 granted if he's always at her beck and call

@poster
Stop claiming innocence on tribal issues, just have a look at your previous posts and tell me frankly if they don't smell tribalism in the highest order. Take a look at your original post.

Am an edo girl dating an ibo guy and he wants to maay mi,he is a very nice and sweet young man ready to do anything 4 mi.my problem is that his sisters never leave him alone, always demanding
and they kip telling him that you know its just for now by the time u get married we will stop.but we all know thats not true.
its not like he is rich or something,he is just trying to make ends meet, and they never ask him how he is faring . he is always broke because of these gals.he gives them monthly allowances and they work, they come to his house unnanouced. and to mi this is not fair at all.ve always heard that this is something about igbo gals and i can see it for myself.

@ presido

You just want to beef igbo gyls and nothing more. Mind you if you finally marry him your daughters will be igbo gyls as well.

no doubt they will become ibo gals but with a difference, because they ve an edo upbringing too.which will neutralise that sense of dependence on siblings, even when they ve jobs grin.everything boils down to sheer greed, and a
terrible mentality.BUT u don't want to accept it.

also u fail to see the part were i say the gals ve JOBS,they WORK
Do you want to send them to Italy or Belgium to work for you?? grin grin

Go to your village and marry one of your own and end the whole wahala of Igbo people wink wink

I will not advice my sister to be a controlling type!! but to check if she can handle the marriage, but if not there is still enough time to leave the guy. Some girls wouldn't mind and maybe that's the kind of girls he wants or the poster might look somewhere else for her type of man (the one that cares less about his family and more about the wife), it's not a new thing anyway .

almondjoy:
Sorry it comes across that way. It is really not my intention to do so. It is the situation that disgusts me not the "domestic workers". They represent a "hopeless situation". Please try and separate the 2! Thank you. Have you ever considered that what I see in them makes me angry towards the "powers that be"! It is just that the domestic workers are being discussed. For the last time--I am not blaming them--I am blaming the selfish people who made "us" that way. It is not a matter of us Vs them. Your children and my children may be raised in the same environment. All will suffer the same fate---Period. We all are going to suffer this lack of attention, and that is what I mean when I address the problems of this "mental slavery".

Mamaput,
I am sorry it comes out harsh. Once again, I would not discuss my personal feelings to the situation because it looks like the focus on my anger is on the domestic workers. I will state it again. They represent the evils in our society and I do not have any hatred or superiority towards them. Let me let you guys continue to debate it the way that it is comfortable to you. We just have different views of looking at the problem and too bad most of you decide to describe my analysis of the sad situation as my hatred is towards the domestic workers. Having explained that, I will leave it at that. I have nothing else to add.

Happy Holidays guys! kiss

I was angry she had never seen a commode more than the fact that she messed up my commode. If we spent money in Nigeria the way we should --every 8 year old would exposed to public conveniences at least in schools. You missed the point again and I am done explaining myself!

Once again, Happy holidays! kiss See y'all in January 2008! Off for my well deserved one month vacation! Stay blessed and no fighting! kiss
It took you almost 5 pages to write something intelligent and understandable? you have a serious problem madam!! better start working on it.

Enjoy your vacations cheesy cheesy
PoliticsRe: Stop Praying, Fight For Your Rights: Archbishop Tells Nigerians by romeo(m): 2:01pm On Nov 30, 2007
I don't need anybody to tell me that praying and doing nothing can not save anybody from any predicament, i see it in this forum all day,

check the thread about what we can do for Nigeria and all you will see is "i will pray for Nigeria" springing from all corner. Hope to see the day our eyes will open back home. And Nigerians can be cruel you know!! too many petitions from Nigeria to Heaven in a single day and i am part of it , if i am God i will just leave them because it's getting too much. But he's not like me of course grin grin grin
