lol. If my first uber partner had demanded a security deposit from me, i wouldn't be where i am today because i didnt have shin gba to give anybody. Your car has comprehensive insurance. Your car has a tracker. What is security and what are you depositing? Many hardworking guys are being shut out. The earlier you start seeing drivers as your partners and not your slaves, the better for everyone. You cannot give a driver a stupid car and tell him to go and start working and that you will fix the car as he is making money. That is just like asking someone to cut down a tree with a blunt cutlass, promising to buy him a new cutlass if he succeeds in cutting down the tree with the blunt one.... Is he a magician? These are part of the problems FLEETXPERT is weeding out. Hard-working guys that can make 100k a week, pls contact us and if you are given a car to drive, your full tank is already sure. Our only problem is with drivers who are lazy. If you are lazy and you think you are doing us a favour, do not bother. In the end, Every one is happy. |

Stealth100: I said this same thing long before he started his fleet mgt coy. From when he started sharing all these tips to make 120k weekly. I know he is being kind to drivers but imagine if like 500-1000 drivers use the same strategy, how possible is it for everyone to make 120k weekly. I really hope Ogunvic learns from this and guard his business ideas with his life. It's a jungle out here bro. Bro. You guys don't understand the laws of life. . . Give and it shall be given on to you. there is more happiness in giving, than in receiving. Do unto others as you would like to be done to you God blesses a cheerful giver. There are blessings attached to these things you want hidden. God's blessings come in different ways and they aren't always instant. It's not the fastest that wins the race and it's not the smartest that makes the most money. The most important thing is the heart. If the heart is pure, God will always be by your side, even when you are surrounded by 1000 enemies. Sharing strategy doesnt and hasn't affected anything. Trust me, no one here knows the business strategy. Whatever is on Nairaland is just the surface. .No one came to lagos to count bridge. When the full strategy is unveiled you will see it. No one, and i repeat, No one can compete with FLEETXPERT. We are not experts for nothing. If they like, let them be 100, they will all be left in the dust. We know what we are doing..... This is just a game of chess. |

I am an uber driver. Ogunvic is an uber driver. Driving is in our blood. When people were complaining about Uber, we were busy making 140k weekly. The strategy we used in making the money, is what we are selling. We do not explain all our modalities, so anyone is free to interpret what we do any how they like, but the facts are there, and they are undeniable. If i drive on uber next week, i will make 150k minimum. We employ people who work like we do, and we in still this mindset in them. Our drivers are not our employees or our slaves and we do not treat them as such. They are our friends and We treat them as such. We treat drivers with the dignity and respect they deserve and they work with us diligently and from their hearts.
Note. I did not say they work for us. They work with us. We know what they go through and we are there to guide and see them through. None of our drivers currently make less than a 100k weekly. Everyone is happy. Drivers are happy, partners are happy, cars are happy.
If we both pick up cars and drive next week, we will both make a minimum of 150k each. Consistency. You cannot beat consistency. You cannot sell what you do not have. FLEETXPERT exists as a result of our hard work. What we are selling to drivers and partners is what we have seen and done.
Anyone is free to compete with our first-hand experience. Lagos has a population of 25million people that need to move. uber and taxify cars are less than 10,000 combined. Enough space.
Let's keep moving lagos. |

abitafah: I'm sure Ogunvic has learnt his lesson the hard way. Yoruba adage says "if person yam don done, the person suppose cover am dey chop". Ogunvic has a good strategy but coming to share the strategy is uncalled for. Business strategy is supposed to be kept secret. He created this competition for himself and the funny thing is that this enterparrot is using Ogunvic strategy to create his own. There is space for everyone. 10 more fleet companies are welcome. Not everyone likes coke, some prefer pepsi. That is life. What we'll never do is bad mouth anyone in order to try and bring them down. |

Dovehorizon: To an extent there should also be a precaution to that. Some drivers are reckless, some purposely do this to look for an excuse not to meet up the weekly payment. There should be an agreement BTW both parties when it comes to repairs.
The companies you mentioned, I am sure they must have factored in cost of repairs and other miscellaneous expenses before arriving at a monthly fixed rate to be given to their drivers which we all know as salary, meaning, most of their drivers are on monthly salary. Uber/taxify is a bit different in this case and shouldn't be compared to BRT, GIG and co.
Meanwhile, more greese to your elbow. The idea behind the system we use is different. Our partners get 50k weekly. Not attainable anywhere else. |

Carshopper: Peugeot engine 90k Corolla 250k+ Elantra 280 - 650 Rio 120-150k
No the partner shouldn't be totally responsible for a vehicle that he doesn't even drive but gives in trust in partnership with another.
You said it yourself .. Its a PARTNERSHIP .. So both parties should b accountable to what gives both parties profit Peugeot e10 - 90k Peugeot e7 - less than 80k. Driver is fueling don't forget that. a perfect car won't need anything other than servicing for atleast 4 months. I can vouch for lions. their suspension will last over 6 months. You cannot own and drive. It's a partnership in the sense that you own the car, he drives. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Romeo3(m): 1:31pm On Jan 06, 2018 |
Carshopper: Frequent surge has been the order of the day due to competitive nature of app companies available and this surge doesn't necessary increase or decrease rental fee.. A hike in fuel pricing will have a direct effect because the final rental figure is a calculation of the most important factors 1. Fuel and 2. Income to drivers .
Why do I say this... drivers tend to assume that they are the driving force within the E-hailing bizness, and they will always negotiate lower when other factors increase. I am telling you from a drivers perspective. Base fares may never go up. but surges will increase. Surges are a way of uber compensating drivers for extra cost of fuel. They don't want to lose out as well. When it happens, you will be in the know. Let me teach you a trick: Go and register on uber as a driver and also on taxify. I am not asking you to drive. No. You are doing this just to have access to the uber and taxify app. You will be able to see anytime there is a surge because you are registered. No driver will dribble you. If dem no gree, collect car. |

Carshopper: Looking at maintenance and repairs, I tend to ask this question, Do I maintain and repair a vehicle that a Driver uses to make income for both parties? Or do we make a preventive maintenance schedule to be carried out within certain periods? What is the true picture when it comes to maintenance repairs inline with ROI?
I dey come, make I open fridge for a drink. Yes. You you should maintain your car. In the end, it's your car and he is just a driver. Preventive maintenance works best. If you give a driver a perfect car with zero issue, he has no excuse to tell stories. If a driver with a perfect car tells you stories that isn't related to his health, collect your car sharp sharp. You will spend less on maintenance if you carry them out yourself. Driver will be happy, you will be happy, car will be happy. Avoid cars with expensive parts. Carrying out maintenance on a car with less expensive parts is easier. It's why Peugeots are the best for this stuff. Brand new parts are cheaper than their contemporaries, and they last longer. Make your research and find out the truth. A 1.7 liter peugeot engine is less than 80k. Who wouldn't want such? how much is corolla engine? how much is camry engine? how much is elantra engine? how much is Kia Rio engine? research... |

Drivers - Avoid desperation this year. Accept no stupid car from anybody because you are hungry and need to provide. If you accept a stupid car, you will only be working in vain. In fact, pouring water into a basket would be a better venture for you.
E hailing business is a partnership. Partners cannot drive their cars. There are a lot of drivers for partners to choose from, so avoid the mentality that you are trying to do anyone a favour. Never accept a car with warning lights in, or suspension that is next to dead. Make sure any car you are about to drive has a perfect Fuel, cooling and suspension system. don't agree to manage any car for any partner. They are only after their weekly rental. This is 2018. don't accept any car that will spend more time in a workshop than on the road and you will still pay rental and buy fuel. |

Carshopper: Thanks... but do you think app companies will increase Base fare in this bizness? Thet wont. They will introduce frequent surge. Any opportunity they get, an area will surge. To the psychological mind of the average rider, base fare is same but the surge will kill them. It's tricky to increase base fares. Leaves a negative psychological effect on riders. |

If you are a driver and you fall into any of these categories; * You work very hard * You can make minimum of 100k weekly * You don't get to make up to 30k weekly for yourself after fueling and maintaining your partners car * You are constantly been harassed by your partner calling you every 20 mins. * Your partner collects the car 1 or 2 days out of 7 days of the week. * Your partner doesn't care if the car you drive is giving you problems as long as you pay his weekly rental Hit me up, i may have a better deal for you. |

sconp: It's funny you think one fleet supervisor would be able to manage 20 cars that are yours but you don't think Romeo3, Ogunvic41 and their managers can't handle 40 cars that aren't theirs
Does the bolden means you want to replicate their model with your own cars?
I think alot of people need to take a chill pill, you guys don't have an indepth idea of the business model yet you say it's not sustainable.
The time when you're suppose to have Romeo and Ogunvic for dinner is when a partner comes to complain that his 50k wasn't paid.
Romeo3 and Ogunvic I think you guys are divulging too much here already, some of this info should be left for investors. The guy wanted to use us. We realized what he was doing and the rest is history. He has tried to cause divisions and it didn't work. It's why he is bitter. You have asked him a salient question, he will never reason along those lines..... If he believes 1 person can manage his 20 cars, his logic also dictates that only 2 people can manage 40 cars. but we have a team of more than 5 managing 40 cars... You can only wonder what his problem is. |

Carshopper: Fleet managers don't have to drive on system ... they are more of solution providers and always build insight to fleet they manage. Will u say fleet managers for dangote trucks should have driven b4? Driving before is an added advantage. You cannot dispute that fact. |
