Jesus wanted to teach them, how he is the same person that will come to dwell inside them, but instead of dumping something that heavy on them..

He made them understand who the spirit was..
1... As the one that convict the world..
(There are some believers that operate in that realm of understanding)

2.. as the one that will take from himself and give them...
(So some Christians see the holy Spirit as the gap closer and mediator between them and Jesus)

3.. as the one that will show them the truth, the way and life..
(We also have believers that are in this stage)

4... The in the next chapter or so...

Jesus said , I will come back unto you, and dwell inside of you and you shall know that I and the father are one, even as I and you are one...

This stage is the stage where Jesus wanted to take them to, meaning he wanted them to see him inside of them and not just a spirit...

That is why Paul exclaimed... Not holy Spirit in me, but rather Christ in me the hope of glory!!!

Because, this spirit is the lord and wherever the spirit of the lord is, there is liberty!!

So yes, we have 4 stages of revelation to understanding who the holy Spirit is.

And that's how revelation is in Christianity, that's why we have issues, instead of discerning the spirit first and then learning from each other, we call each other heretic and false because our present level of revelation has puffed us up..

We do not seek to understand each other, we are fast to correct and condemn a teaching but slow to discerning..

To start with, an Enlightened soul that has achieved self realization or God realization does not die abruptly. At that level of enlightenment such a Soul usually knows the time He or She will translate and can even change it to accommodate loved ones.

Also Such a Soul does not need to reincarnate.
If he or she decides to reincarnate, it is usually to help others get to the same level that he or she achieved. So they usually come back as Masters. When they reincarnate they of course usually gravitates to the path of light and sound and continue naturally from where they stopped.
