Celebrity barman, Cubana Chiefpriest has insinuated that winner of Big Brother 9ja ‘pepper Dem’ season, Mercy Eke cannot afford to attend his event.

The Police in Anambra state have arrested a 29 year old Chizoba Nwoye, pictured left, for killing a tricycle rider, Dumebi Oforkansi, burying his remains in a shallow grave and stealing his tricycle.

A statement released by the police command says on October 2nd, the police received a report that Dumebi, aged 25, from Ubarunisionye village, Nando in Anambra East LGA, was kidnapped by unknown persons and taken away along with his tricycle (Keke) while operating it for commercial purpose.

Following the report, Police operatives attached to the Command State intelligence Bureau (SIB) swung into action. Its investigation led to the arrest of Chizoba who confessed that himself and one Ezennia Nweke alias Abada, allegedly conspired and killed the victim, buried the corpse inside the bush along Achalla-agu Nando road and made away with his keke.

He thereafter, led a team of Police detectives to the scene where the victim was buried in a shallow grave and his decomposing body was exhumed, certified by a medical doctor in the presence of the deceased’s parents who equally identified the clothes he wore. Thereafter, the body was photographed and released to the deceased’s father for proper burial.

Meanwhile, the snatched keke was recovered from one 27year old Anthony Charles alias ‘Walter’ from Ebonyi State.

The police has declared wanted the principal accomplice, Eziennia who allegedly conspired with Chizoba to perpetrate the dastardly act as is he said to be on the run.

A young man identified Powei Cyril narrowly escaped banishment from Igbedi community in Kolokuma Opokuma local government area of Bayelsa state for stealing solar light battery.

The suspect was caught carrying out the criminal act in the early hours of Tuesday October 5, at Royal Fm road, Agudama Epie by some vigilant members in the community.

He was subsequently stripped down to his underwear, given 50 strokes of cane and paraded around the community with a placard inscribed with his name and “profession”

Tonto Dikeh and Bobrisky, recently left a fan stunned after they individually credited his bank account with large sums of cash.

An elderly woman has admitted to killing her own grandson for fear that he will be left alone with no one to take care of him when she dies.

Lillian Parks, 87, told authorities that she gave her disabled grandson Joel Parks, 30, a fatal dose of drugs, ABC News reports. She said she did it because she fears she is near her death and she felt like no one else could care of him when she’s gone.

Joel lived with his grandmother on the weekends, and at a group home during the week, as he was unable to take care of himself. His sister, went to check on him at their grandmother’s apartment on Sunday when she discovered his body.

It was unclear how long Joel had been deceased before his body was discovered. However, investigators are currently waiting for the toxicology report to reveal the exact substances that killed him.

A police spokesperson said during a news conference on Tuesday, September 24, that Bradenton police detectives took the grandmother into protective custody Sunday for evaluation and medical treatment.

She will more than likely be charged with second-degree murder once she’s released from a doctor’s care.

The spokesperson for the police department said: “This is a difficult case for our detectives. Partly, we feel bad for an individual who feels that the only option is to take another human being’s life because you’re so worried about their care after you’re gone. On the other hand, this was a process that was thought out, it was planned, and she took a human life.”

According to the Bradenton Herald, Joel’s father is dead and his mother has been estranged.

The University of Lagos, has said it did not approve the banner which had the Caretaker Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Lagos State, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, as one of the invited guests for a programme on the campus.

The university management, in a statement on Friday, September 20th dismissed the reactions trailing the invitation on the social media as mere propaganda. UNILAG had been attacked on social media on Thursday for inviting the transport union leader to the campus.

On Twitter, in particular, many had wondered why MC Oluomo was honoured with an invitation when a former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, was barred from addressing students when he was invited for a similar gathering a few weeks earlier.

Over 500 Nigerian youths staged a protest in Abuja against the lifestyle of cross-dresser, Idris Okunneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.

The protesters who are under the umbrella of National Youths Council of Nigeria, stated that they are in support of the stance taking against him by the National Centre for Arts and Culture , National Council of Women Society , Christian Association of Nigeria and other organizations.

The youths proceeded with placards to the National Assembly , Force Headquarters and stopped at NCAC.

The activities of Bobrisky were described as ungodly by the Vice President of NYCN (North Central Zone ), Mukhtar Jebba.

Mukhtar said , “Consequently , the NYCN today , September 18 2019 declares Bobrisky as persona non grata , as he is a man (not a woman ) . For national interest, we call on the ever – conscious, ever- ready , combatant Nigerian youths and comrades of like minds to, without fear or favour , kick out Bobrisky and his likes wherever they come across them. Nigeria is not a place for LGBT and we shall fight this to the end . ”

Officers of the Nigerian Army shot one of the four daredevil armed robbers who dispossessed a bank customer of about N1.5 million in Bayelsa on Monday.

It was gathered that the hoodlums trailed the bank customer, said to be the Deputy Governor’s brother, to an office complex close to his filling station located at the Opolo axis of the Isaac Boro Expressway in Yenagoa.

The robbers who wore masks accosted the victim as he was driving into the office complex, broke the back glass of his car and removed a small Ghana Must Go bag containing about N1.5m.

However, soldiers passing by in a military van opened fire on the fleeing robbers. A bullet hit one of them on his stomach and he fell to the ground. The other three managed to get away with the money and varying degrees of bullet wounds.

All exit routes around the area have been blocked by policemen and the soldiers to prevent them from escaping.

The situation caused a heavy traffic congestion around that axis of the Expressway.

Toyin Lawani has disclosed plans to have a third child.

The mother of two shared a new photo with a new man alongside captions hinting at being in a relationship with him. She added that he is from Congo and compared Congo men to Nigerian men.
