I’ve been saying this forever, people underestimate the scale of Nigeria’s problems. The calamity that is the man Buhari. Too many Nigerians are just too foolish, to expect to have an absolute dullard of president and expect progressive outcomes.
Buhari fought to be president to further the northern agenda. He desperately sought office for the power it carries, to enjoy free medical and reclaim the mandate he feels is his entitlement, stolen from him in years past.
Buhari is a disaster. The economy is nearing collapse because people occupying the most sensitive positions today are there by nepotism. Two more years of Buhari and Nigeria is finished. |

Politics › Re: We Received Order Not To Repel Boko Haram Attack by rontolo(m): 8:57am On Apr 12, 2021 |
Neutralobserver: Well, they could have gone in roaring, and hundreds of people would have died along with the Bokoists. And at the end of the day, people will blame the Army and the commander for the deaths of civillans, not Boko.
Also, gurriella warfare is a never ending strife and a different kind of warfare. The British spent over 20 years fighting an insurgency in Northern Ireland. It does not mean that the British Army was riddled with IRA symphatisers....or for that matter the nearly 20 years the US has spent in Afghanistan does not mean the US Army is riddled with Taliban symphatisers.
Guriella warfare works on one priniciple. If you don't lose, you win. And anyway, the Army has chased off Boko from a lot of areas, and has ended the mass bombings that used to be prevalent all over the North. Also, Boko is largely restricted to Borno.
What Boko does is very simple. Mass attack on weak points, kill a few soldiers, and a lot of civillians, retreat, and then claim a propaganda victory, to scare most of us, and to sow seeds of division and strife, and to make us tired of the war. At the end we their enemy reitre in divsion and confusion, while they win. That is how many guriella forces who have won, win.
And that is why I am angry with most Nigerians, especially the GEJ ites and Buharists and the whole North South divide in this country. The truth is, Boko Haram does not care about our beliefs, or lack of it. Their aim is to sow division so that they can defeat all of us and have us bowing to Sheaku in years. That is why, we must put aside our differences and fight this demon...completely. And saying this does not mean I am a buhari supporter. I am not. You do not have to agree with the APC goivernment or with the PDP goivernment to realise that we are fighting against a rapacious demon who will stop at nothing until we are all devoured...regardless of our religion or tribe. Consider this holistically. No sane nation will allow their citizens be terrorised, slaughtered the way it’s happening in Nigeria. Terrorists have been given too much space to operate. They invade cities, rape, main and kill for hours, escape to their enclaves totally unopposed! Our army has been reduced to a totally defensive force, and an utterly incapable one at that. This is frightening and senseless. We have DMI, DSS etc with their hefty budgets devoted only to protecting buhari and harassing his critics. When armies chose not to engage terrorists in densely populated areas, they don’t do this for terrorists to operate at will. They take this position on the premise that the terrorists wont kill anyone and that they will be engaged and neutralised as they retreat into less dense battlefield. In Nigeria’s case, they simply operate, destroy and vanish. This is shameful I find it inconceivable that terrorists can’t be tracked to their hideouts as they retreat. Drones are available on public sites that can pick precise coordinates. These platforms are available for as little as $10k. The explanation to these failings is simple. The NA is weak, compromised ineffective, thanks to complicity and haplessness of this Buhari’s govt. The govt is BH and BH is the govt. Until Buhari leaves that office one way or another, Nigeria is finished. Shikena! |

neyorlmogzy: Is not that they can't invite foreign soldiers, but the truth is that no sane country will oblige such a demonic invitation. The USA released a statement the other day saying the reason why they have resisted the urge to assist Nigeria fight Boko Haram is a result of genocide committed by so called security agencies. They know all that is happening, they know Burutai and his fellow bastards are Terrorist Military warfare has evolved. No one is asking for the intervention of national armies. Our military can benefit from the experience and capabilities of organised mercenaries, capabilities we currently lack. Mercenaries is the way to go to complement our forces. This should include leased helicopter gunships, an essential platform to ending this conflict. The battle needs to be taken to the terrorists. Our current posture is currently way too reactive! |

Neutralobserver: Well, here was the situation
Boko was raiding a town with a large civillan populaiton
So, if the Army came rushing in, what's to stop Boko from using most of the civillans as impromptu human shields?
And guess who would be blamed at the end...yes the Army.
Sometimes , it is better not to let your enemy choose your battle grounds. It’s the primary job of the army to protect the people, whatever the battlefield. Close quarter combat is an essential component of modern military training. Sending a message to terrorists they can raid any populated city unopposed is nonsensical. What’s the strategy then? To interdict as they retreat or give them free pass in and out because of civilian population?. The terrorists could have caused major carnage, as they have been doing all over Nigeria. It’s no secret this govt is riddled with BH sympathisers. |
