Hi guys, so I was able to go for my appointment lastweek. They only took my pics and I did biometrics. But the thing is, since I uploaded my docs online, the status has been on 'file uploaded Isn't it meant to change to submitted even after I've done my biometrics??

Yea I get. Guess I'd just have to pay and that's it Thanks! newbie715: It's difficult to get free appointment now. There are a lot of people looking to book appointments so they are taking advantage of the situation. At midnight, you should see appointments for like £65, I'd just book one because if you think of the cost of the application, the appointment fee pales in comparison. All the best. |

Did u pay to get your appointment? Divine88: I think IDV app was specifically used by applicant who submitted their applications during the first lockdown months. This was done as there were a lot of pending applications. I submitted my application last month and did my biometric this week. Like I advise the original OP. New appointment dates are release at 12 midnight every day. |

I didnt/haven't received any email yet. I'll probably just pay, get the appointment and move on. Their wahala sef too much. I have a friend who applied to renew in August last year, he's yet to receive any response from HO foxyvisa: Same concern I had last year. You can book dates/appointments when the site informs you via email. For me, they sent a mail/link directing me to use the new app UKVCAS IDV 21 days after I filled the application online. The app which you download on your mobile phone was where I uploaded all my documents and picture. They explained that applicants whose previous biometric are less than 5 years old are qualified to use the app instead of booking appointments and going to the centres. 3months and 1 week later I got my FLR residence permit card. Hope this helps |

I checked and I saw dates in Feb but I'll need to pay to get the appointment, I only wanna do the core service one. Shouldn't the appointment be free?? This people sha like money Divine88: New appointment dates are updated at 12 midnight every day. I will advise you check then. When you finally book an appointment. The upload system will be available for you. |

Yes, it's the sopra steria system but it doesn't even have the option to upload. The moment I paid, I was redirected and I setup my account and the next thing was for me to book an appointment which wasn't available at all.
The site that allows you book the appointment should have an upload facility. I’m sure you’re using the sopra steria system, that’s where I uploaded.[/quote] |

Happy New Year guys.. A quick one pls, I've paid to renew my spousal visa last week and was redirected to another site to book an appointment but there were no dates at all (due to the current conditions). But the thing is, I haven't received any form of communication from HO in regards to uploading of my docs. When do you think I should expect to hear from them? |

justwise: I really don't know much about Nottingham at the moment, i haven't lived or visited that city though a friend will be moving there next month.
If you want to know anything specific then ask i will get the info from him. I stay in Nottingham, it's quite a big city with alot of fun (if you're the jayejaye type). Its not too expensive to live here tho. I've been here for just 11weeks sha. |

I actually didn't believe I could read the posts from page 0 to the last, big ups to everyone who has contributed.
I'm still a fresher here in d UK, came in bout 3weeks ago on a spousal visa. We're based in d Midlands (Nottingham).
Its been a really different experience which I'm enjoying.
I've done all d necessary things, only waiting to get my provisional DL. BRP, bank accounts, GP, NINo all sorted.
I've also been applying for jobs and luckily got one last week to resume July 2nd (though not the kind I really want but make man no just fold arms siddon for house), pay isn't too bad atleast for a newbie like me with no UK work experience and I'm not a professional. I have vast experience in sales, marketing and management (pharmaceuticals). Plan is to do it for few months while I take up some professional courses then switch to something bigger (God help me).
I dey follow this thread bumper to bumper sha.
Make una welcome me o |

deji2009: Sorry if I am. What I meant was, would they request for registry wedding certificate and TB test certificate at biometric session. I'm trying to find out if she need to send these via my dad or take them to biometric and send to me using premium service to receive in time for Sheffield.
I'm just reading this on TLS
"From the 5th of December customers applying for a UK visa in Nigeria will benefit from digital improvements to the UK visa application process. Supporting documents will be scanned whilst customers are at the visa application centre, and then given straight back immediately. These digital documents will then be sent securely to UKVI, with the passport, and visa officers will then consider the application in the usual way. This new process allows customers to retain their important supporting documents during the application process. This development is made available to customers using both our standard and Priority Visa services.
Apart from an applicant’s passport, all supporting documents will, where possible, be handed back at the Visa Application Centre after they have been scanned.
All documents submitted by customers applying for PBS Tier 1, 2, 4 and 5, EEA applications and other settlement and non-visit visas will be scanned at the Visa Application Centre and sent electronically securely to UKVI.
In order to avoid delays in the Visa Application Centre it is recommended that customers follow the instructions below:
• Bring your original passport (or travel document) and residence permit/national ID card (if applicable);
• Bring A4 copies of all of your supporting documents. Copies should be of reasonably good quality to be readable when scanned. Use coloured copies if necessary.
• If you would like to submit an old passport or a sponsor’s passport as supporting document, then you must provide copies of it as well;
• Remove any staples, clips or pins from documents before submitting them.
Presenting the documents in the format set out above will allow us to scan them more quickly, return them and reduce waiting times at the Visa Application Centre. Bros, biko ignore all those serenren. Go to your VAC with your passport, proof of payment of application form, first page on d application form, if you paid priority (take the proof of payment too). Remember to make photocopies of all documents you're taking to VAC. Cheers!! |

deji2009: Quick question for you, Would I include a TB test with other documents to sheffield or for my wife to keep and take it with her on departing from Lagos to Uk when she get her visa?
Thanks I think u can just make a photocopy of the TB test result and keep with u but she wouldn't be asked to present it on a normal day. I wasn't asked when I arrived tho. Hope this helps?? |

deebaby05: Congrats Ronvlaar,
Good decision you took and it made off. Happy for you. I actually thought of re-applying too for my kids with priority but fortunately we got an expedite hearing cos they are minors for 1st week of next month.
The best thing actually is to address their refusal and re apply if the money is available to have rest of mind cos this appeal of a thing takes time. the waiting is terrible.
I ll be going there with God and ready for them with all documents and plenty of tears. lol
Safe trip Thank u very much and I'm glad they expedited your girls case, hopefully you link up with them pretty soon. All the best! |
