OP, you sound totally like me! I am quite pretty, but I noticed that after the steady relationship I had going in 2010 ended I've been zooming through men (some 2 week relationships ) and haven't had anything steady since then. I mean...it's crazy! I went from having someone worshiping me everyday for 2yrs to having absolutely no one(worshiper or not). And my mum's not helping issues at all. ALWAYS telling me to get married etc etc.

I also got worried....I started seeing some logic in what she was saying....I'm 23yrs old with no commitment whatsoever, and I want to get married by 25 and I want to have dated the guy for at least 18 months before marriage and here I am with NO boyfriend....my sister, at a point I had to sit and start re-assessing myself and even prayed about it too...lol. Anyway, I started dating a guy last week (lemme cross my fingers and pray it works out), although my mum already said I can't marry from Kogi state, coz I'm Igbo....that's her opinion though...as long as I'm convinced that he's the "one", I will marry him.

In conclusion....I think you should be a bit worried...its natural....you can have everything good in the world, but when you do not have love or specifically love from that "one" person....it's the pits. I know its cool sometimes saying "I'm single" and all that but....nothing compares to sharing your victories and sad moments with that "one" person...its probably coz he's not compelled to listen and love you like your family is, but has come to you on his own accord to give u all those good stuff for free.

P.S- Perhaps you shouldn't look for TDH(Tall, Dark, Handsome)but do look out for one that has a good job/prospect. I think that is what matters most, but you must still be physically attracted to him. (My bf is not the cutest, but I console myself with couples like Heidi&Seal etc etc and he is very nice, intelligent,confident, hard working and has truckload of prospects )

Thank you, dear! What people don't realize is that it's matured and quite acceptable to admit you have no clue about a certain topic or equipment, and most people who claim knowledge about everything, normally have some form of deep rooted inferiority complex.

He used to cheat a lot and would apologise whenever I caught him. I coped with him for almost 4years before calling it quit when I couldn't cope anymore. Next, I fell in love with my classmate who was just a year older. My friends and family disapproved of him but I was too much in love to listen.

He was always very broke and I was always willing to help. His family treated me like I was part of them. On many occasions, I learnt him money he never paid back. I paid for his hospital bills whenever he was sick. I love hanging out, so he would invite his friends and I would bear the cost without minding. We were in love....or so I thought. Because just like a flash, he left me heart broken and I almost died. He was my best friend, my confidant. We laughed so hard whenever we were together and we hardly spent time apart.

Anyway, I am trying to heal now and I have a new guy I like but I'm scared to go into a relationship again. My friends have advised that I should no longer be the independent woman I used to be. That I must make my man spend for me and I should stop being an advocate of romance without finance. They also said I should never give my money to a man again, that he would only end up leaving me. What do u think?

My friend introduced me to a guy about a month ago and we've been chatting via bbm and phone calls. He says he really likes me and such and such....but i don't that carried away easily.
So on Monday i call him at night and i asked him why he hasn't checked on me all day long and he said he had been angry with some people. So we continue talking and he cheers up.
After about 20mins of talking, we started having network issues and at a point he calls,but ends the call when i pick up. I try to call back and he cuts my call, and he ended up not calling back. At 11pm i receive a msg from him that he would call me soon. I slept off and when i woke up i noticed he hadn't called.
All day long i didn't call or msg and neither did he. Then at about 9pm i noticed he was no longer my contact on bbm. That when i called the friend that introduced us and she said he was no longer her contact too. I got worried at this point and decided to call.
I didn't have call units so I took someone's phone and called. I called both of his numbers severally and they both rang without being picked up. So i said a prayer for him and went to bed.
This morning I woke up said a prayer for him again then headed straight out to buy call units. Again i called both numbers to no avail. Around 12noon he finally calls and he's like, who's this? But anyway, realizes its me after 10secs and says he got robbed and i'm like when? And he says he'll send me a message. About an hour later he sends a msg that he got robbed yesterday afternoon.They took some things from his car and his bb. So he went to the police station to lay a complaint and as of now they;ve found hiss bb, while the robber was trying to sell it and he'll get it back by 4pm.
He stays in PH. Is it that the PH police dept are so efficient? Another thing is that when he finally sent the msg,he sent it to my other line, meaning he hadn't lost my number through the whole "robbery incident".
Please, what do y'all think about all this?
My friends say i'm a cynic....do you believe his tale?
