Returning Premiership giants, Newcastle United, are offering Nigerian whizkid, Henry Onyekuru, the sum of £36,000 per week to join them. Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are also keen to sign the Super Eagles goal poacher, who has insisted he will NOT sit on the bench for any club, and that any deal must come with the agreement of regular first team play. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/814829/Newcastle-United-Henry-Onyekuru-Arsenal-Transfer-News-Gossip Henry Onyekuru https://www.soccerassembly.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Henry-Onyekuru-10th-goal.jpg |
Meanwhile Saudi Arabia are the US' close allies. Go figure. |
Very good. If Wenger is gonna put him on the bench he should just not go there. That boy is just too good to be on any bench, even for Real Madrid. |
Mustay:MY BROTHA, YOU ARE RIGHT. I EVEN VOTED IN FAVOUR OF WHAT THE GUY DID. But if we look at it objectively, it points to the issue of corruption in society. Sentimentality is a huge factor in corruption, especially when it comes to relatives, friends etc getting undeserved favours. The 500 likes for what the guy did, shows we have serious problems in this country in terms of our attitudes to probity and professional integrity, so vital to catapaulting the nation to the next level. I think the best we can hope for is a reduction in corruption, not an elimination. Not with our mindset. |
GrandGarcon:Where and where did he go in Cameroun? We all know how you dummies visit the capitals of these small countries, where the govt spends 80% of its revenue on the main city while the rest of the country is neglected, and then assume the comforts of the capital are replicated throughout the country. And if, despite all you've read here, you still think the Nigerian railway network is not being implemented, it just shows you are an illiterate dunce unworthy of further attention. |
If Yorubas lived in the Niger Delta, Ipob will consider them 'brothers' and include them in 'Biafra'. Anyone living in those oil and gas fields of the delta is a 'dear brother' to Ipob. If Hitler and the nazis were based there, Ipob would court them as their 'dear brothers', and invite them to form 'Biafra'. |
fullstreets:I will pray for you not to encounter armed robbers, so that no policeman would waste his precious life defending you. By the way, can you tell us when last you were physically hurt and wrongly labelled a criminal by a police officer? |
The great conspiracy theorist and author, David Icke said that whenever you see an incident, and you want to know who is responsible for it, ask yourself ''Who benefits from this occurrence?'' The answer to that question is usually the answer to who is responsible for the crime. Since 9/11, the US has benefited immensely. They've invaded Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and installed stooge regimes, and are still looking to take out Syria and Iran, all on the back of their proclaimed altruism and fighting terrorism. |
Trump is a nasty racist knucklehead who can't understand why an Asian muslim should be elected Mayor of London. That's the only reason he attacked Mr Khan. Vile, worthless, ignorant dunce who calls himself the US president. |
OP, have you any idea how many Nigerian Police officers have been killed and injured in shootouts against armed robbers in the last 30 years? In other words, have you any idea how many Nigerian policemen have given their lives to protect you and your family, and keep you safe while you sleep like a baby at night? Do you know it runs into thousands? Do you know it is those underpaid policemen you scorn, that are the ones blocking armed robbers from raiding your house tonight? Can you do what they do? Patrol the streets at 3am, often with sub-standard weapons, looking for armed robbers to confront? Look, Mr Man, we can criticise the police all we want, but we must never ever ignore or downplay the fundamental service they render to us, and the huge sacrifices they make. For that we are grateful. |
NotGej:Most countries ''around the world'' are developing nations like Nigeria. Most countries ''around the world'' are not like the US, UK, Germany, and Japan. Most countries ''around the world'' are in the mould of places like Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Argentina, Ecuador, Mali, Azerbajian, Nepal, Peru, Vietnam, Thailand, Sierra Leone, Haiti, Surinam, Mexico, Zambia, Jamaica, Yemen, Eritrea, Rwanda, Cuba, Trinidad, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Malawi, Cambodia, Mozambique, Chad, Bangladesh, Burundi, DR Congo, Uganda, Afghanistan, Madagascar, and India, among others. In these countries, which make up the world's majority, there are myriad development issues from power shortage to bad roads. That is the NORM in the world. The EXCEPTIONS are those western countries most of you travel to when you claim to be going ''around the world'' - UK, US, Germany, Holland, France, UAE (Dubai). Less than 25% of the world's population live in those developed countries. Remember that next time you talk of going ''around the world'' and seeing El Dorado everywhere. |
I always laugh when I see these governors claiming to have built ''tourist attractions''. Which tourist wants to visit a place with open gutters? Streets with no sidewalks? Cities with only a few street lights? These are the things you must take care of FIRST AND FOREMOST, before the word ''tourist'' comes out of your mouth. Until then, you will keep building ''tourist attractions'' that only attract area boys and ashewos. |
crestedaguiyi:Idiot, your leader killed 3 million of his people because of greed for oil. It was because he wanted to steal the oil that made him so desperate to secede. He was so desperate for the oil he risked millions of Igbo lives to fight a dumb and stupid war for which he had no weapons, no army, no airforce, and no navy. When his plan failed, he hopped on a plane to the Ivory Coast and left you to your own devices. |
edoyad:We DO lead them. Kenya has only one or two serious airports, Nairobi and Mombasa. KENYA AIRPORTS: Mombasa Airport https://www.kbctv.co.ke/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Mombasa1.jpg Nairobi Airport https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/image/view/-/3844318/medRes/1586211/-/12x6ugpz/-/jkia.jpg Nigeria has TOO MANY TO COUNT: Here's just a few: Lagos Airport https://poi.api.hotels.ng/poi/196/mur2.jpg-196-56ec0fd8cf5c4.jpg Abuja Airport https://authorityngr.com/app/views/images/uploads/2015_10_18_69178.jpg Kano Airport https://i.imgur.com/BmBGXb5.jpg Bauchi Airport https://i.imgur.com/0z4WCMB.jpg Owerri Airport https://i0.wp.com/www.faan.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Owerri-Airport.jpg?fit=1024%2C467 Warri Airport https://poi.api.hotels.ng/poi/1734/2-1734-584581c6058d3.jpg Calabar Airport https://www.bizbilla.com/countrywise-airports/airport-image/calabar-margaret-ekpo-international-airport-nigeria-1.jpg Ilorin Airport https://i.imgur.com/obThx7M.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wwC5EnQ.jpg Asaba Airport https://poi.api.hotels.ng/poi/538/asa9.jpg-538-572c67017faca.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fJpYhAZ.jpg Enugu Airport https://radionigeriaenugu.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/14067508_318102761866629_2964346290906985655_n.jpg MMA 2 Lagos https://i.imgur.com/u3PxQ1h.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9DZTm5H.jpg Dutse Airport https://www.thetrentonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Dutse-Airport.jpg Kaduna Airport Benin Airport https://i0.wp.com/www.faan.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Benin-Airport-Front.jpg?fit=1024%2C683 Yola Airport https://oi61.tinypic.com/1z31fr6.jpg THESE ARE JUST A FEW AIRPORTS IN NIGERIA. I MAKE BOLD TO SAY THAT NO NATION IN AFRICA OUTSIDE SOUTH AFRICA, EVEN REMOTELY COMPARES WITH NIGERIA IN TERMS OF INFRASTRUCTURE, INCLUDING AIRPORT INFRASTRUCTURE. |
Pavore9:That some Nigerians commit crimes abroad, which affects the country's reputation, doesn't mean you should have an inferiority complex, or it means the criminals have won, and you have lost. I don't actually believe your story by the way. |
Pavore9:Any place under 500,000 in population is a town or village in my book, not a city. Kenya has only TWO cities. Nairobi, Mombasa, finish. The rest are glorified villages. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_and_towns_in_Kenya_by_population |
owbabs:If you have only two cities in your country like Kenya, you can build multimillion dollar palaces as their respective train stations. But if you are in Nigeria, which has hundreds of cities, you cannot. You need to be more modest so the infrastructure spreads round. |
edoyad:That you are from Kaduna means nothing. The Abuja-Kaduna network is a 200 km network llnking the federal capital with the nearest large city. The Lagos-Ibadan network construction has begun, as has the 1,500 km Lagos-Calabar route. They can't build them all at once just to satisfy you that they're not being ''political'' when they're deciding on which line to build prior to the other. |
Pavore9:I can similarly say that until Nigeria completes its 10,000 km rail network, for which construction has commenced, don't come online and rubbish the country, and downplay its ongoing progress. |
Hbuyosh:Konza what? I know about it. It is a VILLAGE PROJECT compared to Eko Atlantic. It's more similar to what smaller cities like Enugu, Port Harcourt, and Abuja, are doing in terms of 'new cities'. SPEND SOME TIME AND RESEARCH BEFORE COMMENTING. You are like many others here. Empty barrels who spew negativity in loud noise, but haven't the slightest clue what projects are being executed in Nigeria, and haven't the slightest inclination to research them. |
rozayx5:Because you are shallow-minded and immature, so you prefer to see flashy train stations than to have a 10,000km high speed rail network under construction. The first is glamorous, the second not so much, since there are no flashy pictures to ''show''. The latter would benefit the country more than the former. That's what's important. It might take years longer to build than a couple of flashy train stations, but we can wait. common Tanzania i grew up in the 90s, they took light twice in 6 years.Liar. Tanzania Power Cuts: https://medium.com/power-africa/3-reasons-why-people-in-tanzania-are-going-off-grid-45acf135afab http://www.theeastafrican.co.ke/news/Tanzania-slides-into-12-hour-power-cuts/2558-1189160-view-printVersion-y0s5l4/index.html |
rozayx5:Ignorant dunce. Go back to listening to music. Olodo. |
edoyad:Use your brain. Go and research. Go and learn the meaning of PPP. Go and visit the Abuja-Kaduna network. Ply the trains. Stop using what happened 20 years ago as an excuse to be mentally lazy and unwilling to keep up with developments. |
lestat:You can laugh out of ignorance. I had a Ugandan colleague once who could not understand the concept of visiting one's village, as we do in Nigeria. He said in Uganda, villages were destitute, abandoned regions where, once you leave, you never return. They use footpaths to enter villages there, he said. You will be lucky to see common soap to buy in rural areas there. |
adde:What slavery? Abeg make we hear word. The projects involving China have clear paths to ROI and repayments. The projects are designed to pay for themselves. Rail investment for instance. Go and research the terms of the contracts before making prejudiced assertions. |
EzeUche:That they work hard doesn't mean they know anything. My car mechanic works hard, but knows precious little about infrastructural development policy. |
lestat:You are a bloody liar. Or you are ignorant. Move to those "developed" African countries nau, or did they refuse you visa? |
EzeUche:Thanks. Now return to your spare parts store. Do you know anything else? Dunce. By the way, Eko Atlantic is a far bigger project than anything in Kenya. And it is happening LIVE |
edoyad:We are making giant strides that will DWARF whatever Kenya is doing. Kenya has nothing as extensive and sophisticated as the current $12 billion Lagos-Calabar project. We need to pay attention to what the govt is doing in terms of projects. There is a push towards infrastructural development. Trouble is people here spend so much time fighting ethnic battles, watching BBN, following celebrities, actresses etc, that they've no clue what the govt is doing, or what projects are going on on the ground. |
letsbepieces:He signed with China their biggest ever overseas contract with the $12 billion high speed Calabar-Lagos Rail network which will have 22 stations on the route. |
Built2last:You're talking rubbish. You have never seen ANY plan. The national rail network masterplan has started. It's not ''on paper''. The recently completed Abuja-Kaduna network is part of the plan. You can go there and enter the train, and stop at the various modern stations on the network. The ongoing Calabar-Lagos network is part of the national rail masterplan. ''A state-owned Chinese company has signed a $12 billion agreement with the Nigerian federal government to build a railway along Nigeria’s coast that is billed as China’s single largest overseas contract, the state media said on Thursday. China Railway Construction Corp. Ltd. (CRCC) signed the official construction contract with the Nigerian government on Wednesday in Abuja, the Xinhua news agency said. The Nigerian railway will stretch for 1,402 kilometres (871 miles) along the coast, linking Lagos, the financial capital of Africa’s largest economy and leading oil producer, and Calabar in the east, according to the report. The $11.97 billion deal marks China’s largest single overseas contract project so far, it said, citing CRCC.'' http://www.aitonline.tv/post-chinese_firm_signs__12bn_deal_to_build_lagos_calabar_railway_line The rail project you are hallucinating about is to be funded by the Chinese on lease. We are to provide 30% counterparts funding for them to do it. Nigeria does not have the money to meet up with the counterparts fund. We can only wish it happens. This administration has one year to go. Election starts next year and Nigeria will pause again. Alas, it's a circle of doom. Restructure this country and let every region build their region. There you go talking rubbish through your anus. Are you the Central Bank governor, to know Nigeria ''does not have the money'' to pay its share? Do you even know the road leading to the Central Bank or Federal Ministry of Finance? |
juman:The fact that you have to go all the way back to Obasanjo shows it is no longer business as usual, and that current govts are doing a better job. |
