TribalistMod:But it's not your land either. At least not the valuable part of it. |
This whole Biafra of a thing makes me laugh. The idea that Nigeria will just sit back and allow the region that provides almost 90% of federal govt revenue to just SECEDE from the country is just...laughable. The FG will fight tooth and nail to prevent it, make no mistake. It's like Texas deciding they want to secede from the US, taking the whole US oil industry with them. An industry worth trillions of dollars. Washington will never allow it, if you like, carry placard from New York to Alaska. |
Real2020:Stop trying to be smarter than your father. Those areas are within the resource-rich oil and gas belt. You cannot realistically exclude them even if their specific lands are not bulging with oil. |
Arda1000:Don't come in here comparing those tiny ass countries to Nigeria. It is far easier to arrange a country of 2 million people than one of 200 million. |
orisa37:Thank you very much. Let's just call a spade a spade, and stop all this nonsense about 'zoo' this and 'zoo' that. Motherfckers just wanna bail with the oil. |
Foxflames:Really? If it is "optional", you can bet your bottom dollar the south south will say NO. Why should they want to share their oil with you? They will say no, and that would leave you landlocked, like Burundi, with a smaller resource base than comparable sized countries like Sierra Leone and Liberia. |
kingzizzy:Err. No. The disunity (as exemplified by the Biafra movement) is based on oil. |
Why don't these people just be honest and call a spade a spade? They simply want to seize the whole oil and gas income the country is currently sharing. If there was no oil and gas in that region...If for instance, the oil was in the west, and all the south grew was bananas and pawpaw, does anyone seriously think we would be seeing this secessionist agitation from Biafra? I seriously doubt it. And the hilarious thing is how Ipob tries to rope in the south-south into their scheme - no doubt because of their oil fields, since they have disdain for every other ethnicity, and so, should hate the south southerners too.... And the south south say "na...we're not in". Ipob considers the Efiks, Riverine people etc, "their brothers"..... Truth is, if you replaced those groups with "Afonjas", watch how quickly 'Afonjas' will become "their brothers". Success (and opportunity) has many friends (and 'brothers'). |

Trump is a dangerous person. He has the US nuclear codes, and he's unstable, autocratic, vindictive and reckless. His presence in the White House should concern every single person on earth because of the enormous power his office wields. |
redsun:YAWWWWNNNNNN.....Nigeria is a developing country. In EVERY SINGLE DEVELOPING COUNTRY ON EARTH, MEANING AT LEAST 80% of countries, there are power cuts, with large swathes lacking power access altogether. Here's a test. Go on Google and type in any developing country, from India to Pakistan, to Sri Lanka, to Brazil, to Mexico, to Kenya, to Ghana, to Ethiopia, and right after the name, type "power cuts". See what comes up. I guarantee you there will be multiple stories of power cuts and power shortages. I've done the research myself. So I know. What you people don't realise is that reliable 24/7 power is NOT the norm in this world. Only a few nations have managed to attain it. But it is only a matter of TIME. Eventually, all nations, including Nigeria, will get there. That is the plain truth. So stop killing yourselves over power cuts. It is part of life in the average developing nation. The problem is that when most of us travel abroad, we go to Western Europe, the USA etc, forgetting that majority of the world are NOT as developed as those regions. We then assume that whatever we see in Europe and America represents "the world standard". Or when we visit some of these smaller developing countries, we stay in their capital city - often their only real city - which always has constant power to the detriment of their rural areas etc. We then assume their entire country is fully lit 24/7. That's a serious mistake. Now, of course we must move faster and more aggressively in the power department, but rid yourselves of the notion that we are in this really 'abnormal' situation in relation to the rest of the world. We aren't. |
Ontarget:Thank you my brother. Of course they know what I'm talking about. "Oyinbo this, Oyinbo that". Say WHITE MAN, or "MY WHITE GOD", so you can make it clear to the whole world that you are a slave who worships white people. Useless idiots using "oyinbo" to disguise their mental slavery. |
The British high commissioner should know, considering his colonialist forbears introduced open gutter system in Nigeria even as they used our looted funds to build nice roads with covered drains and sidewalks in England. |
Why do you people always use the term "oyinbo man" on front page, in your latest bout of white worship? Is it because you are too ashamed and embarrassed to say "white man"? Don't disguise your slavish mentality and inferiority complex by saying "oyinbo man does this or does that". Say WHITE MAN so we can see that you worship white people. Stupid, shameless idiots. |
Mr Man, you cannot speak with two sides of your mouth. You either believe in Biafra, meaning secession, or you believe in One Nigeria, meaning nothing like Biafra. You are just trying to be over smart - not wanting to be on the wrong side of Ipob touts, while retaining the benefits you are currently enjoying as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. What YOU need to do, instead of this clumsy doublespeak, is call your Ipob youths to order, instead of being afraid of them. Use your billions to invest in their education, including IT, technology, manufacturing, and modern service delivery. THAT is what you should be doing instead of rolling in the mud with them and their useless, semi-literate agitation. Look at Yoruba youths. They are now leading the way in IT. In various startups leveraging technology. Go to Yaba and see. The Nigerian Silicon Valley. They are getting funded to millions of dollars by all sorts of international investors. These are young boys with no connections. No godfathers. No interest in politics or whatever. Just using their brains. In the next decade, those startups will be worth billions of dollars. Igbo youths are stuck in shops in Alaba and Onitsha, selling spare parts and goodness knows what else. Even if we have Igbo president tomorrow, will he force those youths to update their skills? Please, you, Iwuanyanwu, and the other Igbo billionaires only good for looking after yourselves and your immediate families, use your wealth and do what you are supposed to be doing, by empowering your Igbo youths, and if you do that, they will not even remember what Biafra means. And YOU, Mr Iwuanyanwu, would not need to embarrass yourself with clumsy doublespeak. |
dasparrow:By not being patriotic, how are you better than than those you are criticising? You sound EXACTLY like those Nigerians who see no value in their own countrymen. If you think Nigeria is a "very useless country", you are not likely to think or act any different than those you're condemning. |
chineduemmao:ILLITERATE DUNCE. ALL MANUFACTURING ON EARTH INVOLVES "copying" FROM THE ORIGINAL PROTOTYPE. USE YOUR DUMB BRAIN FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE. |
nnokwa042:Ignorant pea brain. If it is already "made", then it cannot be "assembled". That's as dumb as saying you ate a piece of meat and your friend swallowed it. |
Proudlyngwa:Assembly is the same thing as manufacturing you ignoramus. Go on Google and type in "manufacturing definition". You will see the term "assembly", as its definition. And there is no requirement anywhere on earth for "60%" or any other percentage of components of a product to be manufactured within the host country. So go and crawl back under the hole of ignorance and inferiority complex you crawled out of. |
Fantastic talent. Highly skilful. A cross between Kanu and Jay Jay Okocha. He is definitely going to be a huge international star. ![]() This Nigeria just can't stop producing talents. ![]() |
Afam4eva:Mr Inferiority Complex and Nigeria hater. I know you are the one that removed my thread ''Biafra News 2022'' because you hate Nigeria and hate to hear the truth. Only God knows why you are on this site and haven't formed your ''Igbo forum'' yet. I fully expect you to remove this post and ban my handle again. But chew on this. I will be BACK. Assswipe. COWARD. |
Lightening:Use your brain for once in your life. If they want to keep their country safe, why did they ban muslims from countries with no history of US terrorist attacks, while allowing in muslims from countries with a history of such attacks, like Saudi Arabia, UAE and Lebanon? |
ChristineC:It's hard to stay in your country when it has been levelled to the ground by US bombs, based on lies about non existent WMDs. |
bigiyaro:The same Saudi Arabia that produced Osama Bin Laden and funds ISIS? Why would they take in Syrians? |
freeborn76:There are thousands of churches in Iran. When last did a suicide bomber attack one? Why is the US closest to the most repressive, intolerant Islamic states like Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and UAE, where christianity is banned? |
DaRocha:How come no one ever tells these prejudiced pea brains to stop hurling insults at ALL muslims? |
Akolawole:He operated from Afghanistan and Pakistan. So why are those countries not on the banned list? |
realjoker:Do you think these ones have brains to research anything? All they know is "muslim bad'. That's all. They are allergic to research and learning. Otherwise the first thing they would ask is why these countries were excluded, when they are the funders of ISIS and. AL Qaeda. |
Shafiiimran99:Bush "tell them lie" indeed. Do you know Saudi Arabia is a major funder of ISIS? |
