We have not even started in this country not to talk of getting there. I work with a state teaching hospital where we are being owned 4mth and 1/3 salary I.e we ave just 'received up to 2/3 of Nov 2015. How do u want people like us to work 100%. That is not enough, our govt is not serious at all ,how many percentage of the budget is for health ? Far less than what it should be (25% IDEALY). Truth be said ;many patients died not because We don't no what to do but most of the time resources are not available . Many occasions , common normal saline , oxygen, instruments are not available. Only God knows how many surgeries were postponed due to non availability of oxygen and the patients eventually packed (died ). Health care provision is beyond coming on air and talk, but more of responsibility of a responsible government.state of many of our teaching hospital Is lamentable and frustrating. Private sectors , on the other hand, have been taught lessons that if they do not collect their money in the phase of the emergency, the hospital can never last! |
Since Ajimiobi has won now na colicky Episodic industrial actions for lautech teaching hospital ogbomoso.they ave. Not received salary this year. |
Hope they won't be too hostile and make working conditions unconfortable for us because their outrageous demands are not only unrealistic but also not implementable.privatization is the lasting solution to this power tussle so that everyone will stay where he or she belongs and work for his or money.job description is another thing that should be put in place.u are welcome back to work and place do remember to bring along the keys to the theatre and other places because my operation list is long already, I CAN'T WAIT,"those patients have really suffered!. |
This whole drama is not funny any longer.nigerians we have missed it from the word go because buhari is not the change we need.I use to wonder y the noise only between the two evils.uncle jona is not good GMB is not better,he could even be worse.if these whole issues abt his his certificate turn out to be true, then what change do we expect? |
Those guys are very sharp shooters, the kinetics nd therefore the wounding power of those bullets was no doubt enormous RIP |
I now understand this politics, oga jona try small. He pronounced the sack, sent Mr David, immediately paid the skipping arrears(2mths) as promised. He then lifted the ban nd pay the salary even of the sack period.80% of 24 points demand of NMA met, more money to their pockets, drs remain d C.md, the qtn is who wins. Let every one b put to where they belong nd stop this power tussle tin pls.pple talk abt health profession being a team wok, is there any team without a team leader, either directly or otherwise, nurses carry out the documented drs orders, plans or intruction as d case may b, he or she(drs) calls lab person into action, dictating d kind of investigations to brace up the diagnosis, he or she prescribs the drugs for famcist to dispense.who is the team leader? All other members of the team are however impt as they contribute immensely to px care. |
[quote author=Burger01]Spineless and greedy bunch of eccentric medical touts.eyaaa pele |
Some posts on naira land are incoherent, people are suffering already from d effect of the strike the next thing is to sack the working force of the teaching hospitals.I pity a man today who was brought to d private hospital I'm.he presented wt Marjonin Ulcer(a cancerous ulcer) the condition can not b taken care of in the private setting because one need specialist touches in d mgt Private hospitals in the cities have no more bed space due to industrial action, uncle nona approach will only escalate the problem rather solving it. MDCAN has spoken ,if gvt fails to respond they will definitely join d strike , now tell me how it goes .it will b ALL or NULL action |
THis is d time our pharmacists and laboratory scientists should show. Case their professionallism.they are scientists and not clinician thus stop struggling wt drs in d hospitals but invade research institutes wea they can ave any title dey want (consultant inclusive) nd b more relavant nd productive.if NMA now come out dat they want to b leading govt owned pharmacaetical industries or researchcentre , then they are tresspassing. But for hospitals drs are d oga @ d top.govts SH d provide necessary protective wears b4 NMA call off if not ...... |
Oga na master joor. Those guys are really the head of health team.johesu shd take dat |
This JOHESU or wat did they call themselves are useless set of pple y do they keep making drs so important chai drs are truly d head of d health team.No wonder they want them back at all cost.take over d hospital nd render them irrelevant then u will prove ur point of no superiority |
Patients are suffering, yet govt does nothing to bring doctors back to wok wat a pit just pray u won't need a doc this period, else u understand d ego they are fighting for |
In the hospital setting u cant become a consultant wcout having passed through the rigor of residency training programm wch takes 4 to 8 yrs depending on d area of specialization I.e the Dr must ave graduated frm med sch ,done internship, nysc witten primaries b4 the training, I don't seem to undrstan. Y Jhesu want to turn d title to pure water.I will also look 4 drving job in teaching hospital so I can bcome a consultant ambulance driver then Chief medical director ![]() |
Why is FG making doctors feel so important by challenging them to come for a public debate. I think their consultant nurses, pharmacists lab scientists and others should be able to uphold the hospitals and run them effectively .however if FG eventually dances to d tone of NMA johesu will want to embark on a reactionary industrial action.then we sha know who is indispensable in the hospital. They shd just leave without locking the patients folders, theater suits wards, power house.I promise dat they wil b forgotten at home. WHO is the mother of all health institutions in world, all it D.G have ever been medical doctors.Nigerians shd not allow FG to use politics to sink our health sector.NMA should fight it to the meaningful end. |
I suggest sick people should stop going to the proud and incompetent drs in their private hospitals and show them that the consultant nurses ,pharmacists nd other can take care of them.afterall teaching hospitals nd FMC are not clossed. |
I can't understand if he was angry with the coach or the whole team.He had a very poor outing. He could redeem himsef at the new club anyway.Gud luck to him |
