Thanks, great site. I recommend it site to everyone looking to book a flight, I bookmarked it too.

Anyway, I have one Iberia/BA booked for Tuesday, 27th already.

I am still searching out accommodation, I would have selected the school accommodation, but the 50-week let is somewhat more expensive vis-a-vis what is obtainable out there (Plus bills). I hope the ones I have penned down for inspection wait for me sha.

I need a cheap B&B for now (Budget 30Pounds/night). I have been online, everywhere -- Aberdeen Youth Hostel, Holburns etc. I need advise from sb who is on ground and not this internet booking thing. Can you help?
Oops sorry I don't know anything about bed and breakfast places, why don't you want to use the ones you found online, that might be your best option.

as many questions as you want to ...hehehe...

Please list some of those places..

What do they mean by "double room", "single room" and why do they have to make that distinction? I have googled it, but I'd like sb from my side of the world to explain it, maybe I'll geddit now.

Also, I discovered some of the rooms are bills included and others are not.. Pata pata, what is the average cost of a flatshare bill inc.?
The bills are always anywhere from 60-150 pounds each person depending on how much your flatmates like to waste cheesy if you are considering an ad with no bills included, prepare to pay for bills seperately from your rent. Double rooms are just basically big rooms, they are like the size of a typical Nigerian room and single rooms are smaller rooms, I've always preferred single tho, it shouldn't matter. Uhmmm places like Dyce, cove, tillydrone, are too far away uhmm I'd mention more if I remember

Lol as many questions as you want to. I don't even know what the areas are called, I only have a lonnng list of places not to look at, which might not even be exhaustive. Just do what I do, when you find an ad you like, google its walking distance to union street cheesy

Are you saying I can get a flatshare of £50 PW in town?

The places around Garthdee and cults I am seeing are above £100 PW, an average of £150 self.

I really wish this discussion can go beyond here, what do you say? WhatsApp? It's fine if you insist.
Lol, I don't have whatsapp and I insist. I didn't say you can pay 50 pounds per week o, I said If you are lucky, you can save 50 pounds per week off your house budget, meaning you can find flatshares of 70-80 pounds per week.

Don't you think living in the City centre would cost more? because now you have to factor in transportation...What is the average cost of a room in the city centre, let me bring my inherent Ijebu skills to fore?

lol, I have not gotten visa yet. But I am looking towards the 29th or 30th of January depending on how early my visa application is approved.

Thanks.
S
Your budget can get you a house in places within walking distance to the city centre. Yeah the only disadvantage is that you have to buy a bus pass for fifty pounds per month. Anyway if you have a place to stay for free while hunting for a house here then your Garthdee plan might work, but if not just mention that you prefer Garthdee but would also consider places within walking distance to the city centre. There are a lot of people doing flatshare here too, while searching on gumtree always click the flatshare option, that comes up with cheaper houses unlike when u click rent cheesy with any luck you can save 50 pounds off your rent budget to spend on a bus pass

Alright. First off, thanks for responding.

As I said, my inquiries are towards securing accommodation before my arrival in Aberdeen. My Visa application is unfortunately close to arrival and I don't have the luxury of searching out a place myself. I have been on gumtree, studentpad, flatmaterooms and the school even promised to link me with a current student from my country, all these, so far, has not bore tangible fruits.

I have an elderly friend over there who has advised I don't go beyond AB10 7-- in my search for a place --basically, the Garthdee area. She gave reasons to include getting to school in instances of unfavorable weather conditions etc.

I am looking for a flatshare in the AB10 7-- area, do you know anyone who has one or sb who won't mind going into such an arrangement? I have a budget of 100 p.w, how realistic is this?
I think you should widen your search to places around the city centre as you might not find a house in Garthdee now that many students are also resuming with you. Most students live in the city centre anyway and cold hasn't killed anybody yet, lol. Houses are hard to come by these days talk more when you limit yourself to one postcode, if you resume here and still prefer the idea of garthdee then you can always move there.Your budget would get you a decent house, also always check your spam mail because most gumtree responses go there. Ehmmm I don't know of any available houses in garthdee but I'd try to inform you if I do, when are you going to be in Aberdeen.

Let me get this straight. In what order was it?

...Submitted and paid for Tier 4 App online and got an interview date...Printed statement of account...Attended interview with Courier fees...

I am using the same account where my Maintenance money was paid to pay for the visa app. I have been a little worried about when to print the statement of account so as not to get things mixed up. Before or after paying visa app fee?

I have had a thought -- Submit online app and pay early around 1:00 on 29th day, then print statement much later in the day so the account reflects the payment and shows my actual balance --the closing balance. What do you think?
Hi, sorry can't access that e-mail, you can post your enquiries here

aguiyi:
some don't show this trait when dating but turn monsters few years into marriage. as for beating to death, it will be strictly canes, no punch or the likes. just have 2 hefty men hold him why you lash him seriously.
His heart could fail in the middle of the beating, that's why you need the Nigerian police to beat him, they know how to handle the corpse in case of emergency. With a little bribe, the Nigerian police would do anything for you. Any man that ever beats me is getting arrested then beaten to an inch of his life, after which I'd come to bail him out if he's still alive. That's my idea of fighting for my marriage, if he still tries it again, then the marriage is unsavable and I'm leaving, but not before his second beating

Not quite clear what your point is please
I'm just saying some hip hop songs are clean and we have all enjoyed a song at one time or the other. So the issue isn't really about appearing in a hip hop video but the lyrics of the song and how she dresses in such videos.

... Nice Comment, I Wonder y the parents of those girls in dose music videos dont advise them ! Hmm who knows if they ar just disobedient
Who would dance if all girls are advised not to do it, as long as the girl is of age, I think we should worry about how they dress to dance in such videos and the lyrics of the songs they dance to.
EducationRe: 10 Words Nigerians Commonly Misspell by royalsweetness(f): 6:44pm On Sep 16, 2014
MissMeiya: Ohhh this is one I HATE. Nigerians switch the words "would" and "will".

Example: I will like to visit.
Example: I would be there soon.

Will is indicative. Stating a FACT.
I will be there soon.

Would is subjunctive. Stating thoughts or beliefs, or hypothetical statements.
I would like to visit.

It makes me twitch inwardly whenever I see or hear it.
Wow, one learns, even from the oddest places... If the above information is true, that is.

FashionRe: Black Women: "Why Don’t You Wear Your Hair Natural?” by royalsweetness(f): 6:34am On Aug 26, 2014
I have my natural hair, unrelaxed, yet I refuse to understand people who won't let other people wear their hair the way they need to wear them. Even with all the products, most styles for natural hair would take atleast 3 hours to pull off, and do not last more than two days till you have to style it again (4c hair). If u wanna take a bantu knot out to work, you have to spend hours knotting it the night before, sleep with it, then unknot in the morning b4 work. Not everyone has that kinda time... Having said that, I still think the reason most Nigerian girls don't wear their natural hair is because they don't even know their natural hair. Most times our mothers relax it before we are old enough to know it, then they make you hate undergrowth so much that u can't even imagine your whole hair as undergrowth. I believe every girl should experiment with their natural hair (especially if your mum relaxed it as a kid), most times you end up falling in love with it despite how difficult it can be. But if as a grown woman, you've ever tried the natural hair thing and it just doesn't suit your lifestyle, then please rock on that weave or whatever rocks your boat.

I feel sorry for the next guy who would succeed GEJ, he would have a lot of work to do since GEJ has let this handshake extend past the elbow, even worse I feel sorry for Nigeria if GEJ wins the election again. I think its high time he wrapped up his reign of good luck and returned to his shoeless, clueless state.

TravelRe: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by royalsweetness(f): 9:48am On Aug 19, 2014
justwise: You can go around withdraw charge by using cash back system in shops, basically when you buy something in a shop and pay with your card you ask them for a cash back, though i don't know the limit, alternately you bring 3-4 thousand in cash with you and pay it into your UK bank account then transfer the rest 3K + and pay one off charge.
Never thought of this cash back method, meaning you could use the self checkout in shops as a kinda ATM cheesy

I don't think they issue ATM cards for pounds dorm account but you could go ask at the bank.
