I'm not stalking you, it's a UK thread , I mentioned someone offered to make the payment and I'd pay him back after I got my cas. I never called him a complete stranger, neither did I even consider letting him pay. If I did, I won't come on nairaland later asking for the best method to pay. That's just common sense. swaggzflow: Hello guys..got a lil problem..Made a full tution payment of 10890( made an initial payment of 6445 on 22/11/13 then paid the balance of 4445 on 13/12/13 ) to the uni of lincoln... This payment was transferred from my dads account with UBA to the school. Then applied for my CAS on the 18th of dec..was made to understand that it takes 3 to 5 working days for one to be issued so as at the 28th of dec when I had nt seen any CAS,  I wrote back to the school requesting the reason for the delay. Due to the holidays, I jst received a reply from the admissions officer that I had correspondence with, informing me that its only a payment of 6445 that is reflecting in my account.  got furious and replied back outlining the payment shedule and attaching proof of payments (b4 then, I have always informed the same admissions officer of all payments I had made..attaching proofs also) I got from UBA for them to rectify the issue. called him also to convey my displeasure at the recent development hence he promised to get back to me by monday..dis is really nt a gud way to start the new year...how 4445 pounds go jst miss (are they learners)them tink say na beans..anyways guys shud I be worried..I hope to criously disturb dis guys by next week till the issue is rectified. plus no time too because according to them issuance of CAS stops jan 10th.

I don't think your money is missing just yet. You just have to calm down and wait till monday to find out from the bank too. I heard international bank transfer is one of the slowest methods of payments, major reason I didn't use it. I paid my fees in two instalments too, and after I was issued my cas, I found out they had stated just my initial deposit on the cas. I wrote the school to notify them of the error, and they said they hadn't received any other money in my name. It took two more days before the complete payment reflected in their account.

About the deadline for issuance of cas, if the issue lingers till then, you could collect a Cas stating just your initial deposit, then collect a receipt for the rest of the payment, except if the full payment of tuition is a condition for issuance of your cas too.

did the visa actually get to vfs within those days or was there also a waiting time before you can collect it.

I applied in Lagos. The 6 working days does not include collection of passport. The passport got to Lagos after two/three extra days.

You would write it on your bank statement. Check the oanda conversion rate on the day you print out your bank statement and write it on the statement with the date.

Have you considered the time it would take to appeal? If you want to appeal, post your letter excluding your personal details on the second UK visa thread and here too, so that you can get better advice.

mrkossy: its twisted really....... paying the money into your account that will be due by 22 of jan i doubt if your visa will be granted giving the fact that it takes 14working days. The only thing you can do right now is to, first of all let your school know, when they send you a new cas the documents you are suppose to submit to the home office should all be stated there. then your sponsors should preparer a letter stating that they will cover all your expenses and you make reference about the refusal on the additional page and also state that your sponsor will be paying all your expenses the unfortunate thing is that you will have to pay another application fee but fingers crossed this time it will be granted. but putting the money in your account at this time personally i dont think it will work cos you haven't got the time unles the your school will give a written consent of allowing you more time due to your visa difficulties if not, thats not an option in my opinion.

What sponsors? You are basically asking him to repeat everything he did the first time and just hope for better results. All visas they issued recently took 6 working days not 14, but I guess he could also ask the school for extra time, too much time can't hurt.

beautyuche: After i got my fees i knew my account statement will not carry maintenance fees as what i was letft with was less than what was expected so i applied to a company on internship and they verified i had already paid fees. they accepted to sponsor me.That road was even a long journey itself................

The long journey must have looked suspicious to them because it is not everyday you find a company sponsoring a new intern to study abroad . If you can deposit your complete maintenance money (and any tuition left) into your own account by monday, the money would be 28days by 19th January. You can then re-apply on the 19th January, if your application takes 6 working days like most others recently, then you can have your visa around 27th January.

@Beautyuche, who is your sponsor, why did you have a company letter of sponsorship?

danny4sure: For those who have gotten their visa for Jan intake, please when you received the sms or mail that the Documents are ready for collection,did it state if the Visa was approved or not Cos my cousin got an Sms today without any information about the visa status (ie if refused or granted).

The e-mail states that its been approved, but the sms doesn't, it just states that the processed passport is ready for collection. She could check her spam mail too, but even if its not there, I don't it's everyone whose visa was approved that gets the e-mail. How was your interview yesterday, did they attend to you.

1. International passport
2. Bsc certificate as been stated on my CAS
3. Bsc transcript
4. Olevel result
5. Birth certificate
6. Affidavit showing my dad is my biological father (tinkin of submitting both my birth certificate and d affidavit for d application)
7. 2 passport photograph
8. CAS letter
9. Statement of account
All originals and one photocopy each for all documents.

Am i good to go?

Don't forget to print out your application form, sign it and take it along. Leave out your affidavit since you now have your birth certificate.

Congrats, go for your passport towards late afternoon of tuesday if there's no public holiday. I just went for mine today after getting the e-mail on tuesday, and I was told to wait a while as the passports just arrived the VAC, the person there was nice sha, I still got it today.

Emirates is cheapest but it takes longer time. Just enter your search criteria on the three sites and analyze the options as against your priority amongst cost, flight duration, baggage allowance and time.

You really need to calm down. Desperation can only hurt your application cuz right now your head seems to be in a hundred different places. If you really intend going to the UK to study, then first of all pay your full tuition before your visa application (if you can afford to), as I believe this would help your affidavit look less whatever it is. Then just apply with your affidavit. The process is pretty much simple, don't make it complicated for yourself with all the unnecessary forgery. They just want to see that you are a genuine student and that you can cater for yourself during your time spent in the UK.

If you are still nervous about your affidavit, then visit the national population commission, tell them about your birth certificate issues and someone might you by giving you an attestation of birth or something.

danny4sure: Pls guys help me, I mistakenly booked an appointment and I got invalid booking error, so tried to rebook today and the system says I have an existing appointment. My problem now is that I did not get the ref No, I don't even know the date and time for this interview. My laptop went off while I was doing all this last nite. If I have missed it what do I do? However, after reading royalsweet's post that she got an email I had to check my spam and voila bhc abuja had sent me an email since Friday13th Dec that my visa was issued.
