Nigerians and their father christmas mentality. This is real life people, there is no father christmas anywhere waiting to hand you out all your heart desires free of charge. If you want to live and work in Canada, find go to the Canadian visa website, find out the requirements and do it yourself. Stop begging a fraud to defraud you. Lazy graduates! |

bunburized: Did you get a sms telling you the passport is available for pickup before you went or that isn't mandatory? Don't want them stopping @ d gate coz I didn't get a sms asking me to pickup. How would they know whether you subscribed for the text msg notifications . On a more serious note sha, I believe you could just wait till tuesday to clear all your doubts. |
guardian09: Mine was in an sms the sent me after my visa interview abiut my visa getting yo bhcThanks dear, I've tracked it, its still at the british high commission wherever that is ![]() |
bunburized: Visit:Please where can I find my application reference number? Like where did they write it? |
bunburized: Congrats dear. That is good news. Tracked mine friday and saw it has been updated to processed visa on transit to vac. Is that good or bad news? How soon can I visit the vac for my passport considering the update was done friday evening? You can't imagine how anxiety wants to finish me o.How is the tracking thing done please. Let me track mine too ![]() |
danny4sure: Oga abeg help, no vex. I tried printing the statement today but my opening balance was showing the small money I had prior to counting the 28days,even though the statement showed the bulk money deposited on that same 15th Nov into my account.Lol, you keep re phrasing the same questions. I asked all these questions when I was doing mine too, and if you read through the thread, you would see many people have already asked the same questions and gotten the same answers. Yes, your opening balance can reflect the little money you had before you made the deposit. They know most students can't afford to pay their fees themselves so it doesn't matter if you had little money and someone sends your fees to your account. They would not question the fact that the money did not come from you. In student visa applications, they do not care about the source of the money. And lastly, print from 15th Nov like Don Oms has already told you. |
Deolu_1993: Hey guys...I would like you guys advice for some 1 in this situation..the person couldnt get January entry so they are now looking at September next year..so based on this what advice can you give as regards what the person can be doing from January to June next year..like do u guys know of any courses the person can do that can be used by the person to boost his application for next year(eg online courses ) or work experience.Basically just worthwhile ways to spend that 6months next year instead of just staying at home doing nothing.Work for your father , learn a new language , write a book . If you want to take a course, I guess it would depend on your field, so what's your field. I assume you mean boost your application to the school, so find somewhere related to your field and offer to work free . |
miz Gene: Mine is out oo, got the visa too. I got it on Monday so it basically took 6 working days. Am sure u'll get urs by Monday or TuesdayWow, congrats. |
bunburized: Sorry for the mix up. This is why I like the US embassy. You knw right there if you will be granted or not.Lol, I actually hate the US method. But I think a 2 day wait is reasonable. |
bunburized: Hi madam, any update from the embassy? I deduce from your msgs here that you submitted your application 3days before me. This waiting is killing me o.Haha, thought it was just me who's dying from the waiting. It was Mz Gene who submitted a few days before you, I submitted after you. This week is gone, I think we are gonna start getting messages by next week. |
abbakacici: you will not be allowed in, just try to collect with anything valuable and give the people that take pictures and photocopy outside the embassy to keep for you,So how come they let me take my handbag, how is that much different from a backpack. ![]() |
Tell me something I didn't already know |
danny4sure: So should the statement read from 15th nov - 16th decIt doesn't matter if the statement is over 28 days, as far as its up to 28days. People print up to 3 months, so you shouldn't be scared if your statement covers more then 28days. |
bunburized: I used my naira account. Actually, any will be fine. As long as the card can be used for such transactions.I also tried using my UBA mastercard first but it didn't go, though I've always been using it to buy stuff online. Their customer care gave me some crappy explanation too. Btw, how do you have a card for your domiciliary (pounds) account, I went to apply for one and they told me they don't give it. @Wilzz26: GTB charged me 266/267 naira per pound to pay by credit card. That's insane and not too different from black market rates, but I was sha relieved to escape the stress of having to carry money up and down. Someone said on this thread that new generation banks like First bank charge much lower, if you still have the time, you could go ask them. And yes, you can make the payments from your current account. |

Well it's not totally impossible. Just pay in two or three different instalments (this would take you two or three days since CBN laws don't let you make over a million naira pos transaction in a day) and then ask the school to confirm the payments in one receipt. That's what I did. |
cancerlib: Tx for d response, but pls how do I do that?Type out exactly what was written in the refusal letter you received, and wherever your name or personal details are mentioned in the letter, replace it with xyz so that everybody would not know your name. ![]() |
bunburized: CAS letter not mandatory. You can decide to put or not to put it won't affect the decision to issue you visa. She specifically requested my CAS letter while she was putting my documents in the bag. I remember thinking what if I hadn't printed it, and I had only printed it the night before as an afterthought. Its better to be over prepared than under prepared. |
Zeetry: how do i get to uk visa application centre in 16 billingsway oregun industrial area ,ikeja? which of the documents do i need to photocopy while going for the interview? It depends on where you are going from. But wherever, get a bus going to ojota, ask the conductor if they would pass Oregun, if they would, stop at Oregun bus stop and take a keke to billingsway, if they won't pass through oregun, just get to ojota, take a keke going to Oregun, and tell them you are going to embassy... I think. You won't have a problem getting there, just go in plenty of time incase you get lost. Photocopy everything except the vaf9 form and including the data page of your passport, print your CAS too and appointment letter, they collected mine. Take your passport photographs at home, my passports were rejected cuz my ears were hidden and I had to take another inside the VAC, its ridiculously expensive. |
miz Gene: No, nothing wrong with what u did, ur vaf9 form is d one u submitted online so if hand filled anoda vaf9 form dy won't need dt.Sorry, what they did not collect is my appendix 8 form, that's the handfilled one. I gave it to the woman and she gave it back to me. |
miz Gene: Right. U can pay with ur Mastercard, d only thing being that dey will use d dollar rate for d day u pay so will find dt ppl pay slightly different fees..I didn't pay online, I paid today at the VAC, but I submitted my application online three days before I printed my statement, is anything wrong with that. Secondly, they didn't take my Vaf9 form. |
keji11: Please does anybody know, how online payment is going to be for UK visa payment as from next week monday because I can only apply next week when my 28days money is matured and i don't have a domiciliary account to do so Or Is there going to be e-wallet site to do so for fresh applicants?I think you'd still be able to pay with your Mastercard and any other cards they permit. Btw is it wrong to submit your application before you print the statement cuz I applied 3 days before I printed my statement. |
My hair is covering one of my ears in the passport photograph I want to submit, hope there's nothing wrong with that |
Zeetry: how do i get to oregun industrial area ikeja from pen cinemamy guess is that you take a bus going to Ojota, stop at Oregun then take a keke to the specific place you are going. |
Don Oms: Of course, you can; especially if it is just a few letters. if it's up to me, I'll just reprint that page and fill it again anyway.Ok, thanks, I'd just reprint ![]() |

Thanks
If yes then its over 28days. And must the statement show the date in which the money (I mean the total living expenses) was deposited
