@ OP, people from broken homes would come here to diss you because they are still in denial and are yet to accept their hildhood. You are brave, success in your endeavours. |
Asking for international help over 10 Ebola patients because nobody is ready to stop looting for a second and focus on public health. If it were possible for the Nigerian government to dig a mass grave and throw in every infected/contact person once traced, they would have done that long ago. |
I believe the man should pay the bride price all by himself but all other costs concerning entertainment, white wedding and all the other unneccesary drama should be shared equally between the man and the woman. Or the richer person, whatever gender should carry the heavier responsibility. |
macjireh: who even knowsThey haven't even agreed to give you the drugs yet you are already formulating your funny conspiracy theories. |
shindarayo: hello?do u even knw d meaning of propaganda.wat hs it got to do wt d issue at handYou illiterates are beginning to make my life unbearable on nairaland. Everything the average Nigerian politician says is propaganda, geared towards the next election. Get behind me Satan! |
I hope this is not the usual propaganda |
People in government are still seating down somewhere figuring out how to get their cut out of the Ebola allocation, I've never seen a more greedy and insensitive generation of thieves. As of this stage, government should have provided so much protective clothing that care workers never have to reuse one, maybe even for normal citizens too because how do you convey a sick person to the hospital without touching him. They are waiting for America and WHO to provide protective clothing for us too, I pray Ebola wipes them all out so that for once we can have an experience of being led by sane people, I live for the day GEJ would decide to visit an Ebola isolation unit and shed some of his legendary tears, but of course that's not gonna happen |
jpphilips: Are you this dumb?Shove it |
ollah1: Why? What for? You know too well the disease will further transmit to other people. It could affect your friends and families. Won't u rather stay and die alone than be on the run and kill people you love? That's because you know too well so you assume every illiterate Nigerian citizen knows as well as you do, the Nigerian government were grossly irresponsible in its manner of handling the Ebola outbreak and are to blame if anyone decides they stand better chances from running away. |
ollah1: Furthermore, the family of the nurse that passed out lately are on the run. ON THE RUN!. where are they running to? Infecting other innocent civilians. Hmm! Watching closely! If its you won't you run? Being quarantined by Nigerian government would be equivalent to putting every contact person together to infect themselves and die together |
Ok |
Crazy how even first year students have to be careful going into second years classes etc. I don't understand the need among most Nigerians to always make sure they is someone beneath them whom they can oppress when they want to. If most of them are given the opportunity, they would transfer the excessive flogging and corporal punishments they metted out on innocent young souls in boarding schools to the university too. |
Is it totally impossible to just share a bed with a cousin. She won't do it when the wife is there cuz the wife would probably be sleeping on that bed, but the wife travelled and there's all the extra space. There's really nothing sacred about the 'matrimonial bed' as a physical funiture. Anyone that wants to sleep on it can sleep on it. Committing adultery on it however would amount to defiling it. But how can you conclude that a man and his cousin committed adultery on his matrimonial bed in the same house with his male relatives and his wife's sister. Most people won't commit adultery that obviously, talkmore incest so control your hyper-active imagination. |
The fact that nairalanders have helped people in the past doesn't mean they are now silly enough to pay a 175k house rent for an entitled jobless man. |
Ingredients Yam Pepper Dry fish Crayfish Seasoning Utazi leaf Some other igbo spice I don't know the name but not compulsory. How to cook Cut the yam into smaller pieces, put in a pot and add enough water to cover the yam. Cook for about 5 mins, then add the all the other ingredients. The only secret is not to let the yam water thicken before adding the ingredients as that would lead to a pot of yam porridge . Boil till yam gets done, then add the utazi leave or scent leave if no utazi. |
dove30: Hello friends u know how it is when one is waiting to get a hold of his passport.like i said abuja emailed on monday that it should take two working day to get back to vfs and one would have expected the text tonight.no text no status update.is it advisable to go to vfs tomorrow?thanksI got my text hours after I collected my passport. Thanks Miz Gene and Spikes C @Bunburized, pls how does the online banking work? How would I make the transfer. |
miz Gene: I'm afraid she can't help you. Your visa n passport is in your name not hers...try ur own bank,I know gtb doesn't give sha...Plenty questions. At what rate do you withdraw with your gtb mastercard over there. Do they use the official mastercard rates to convert or what. Secondly, how do I withdraw from my domiciliary (pounds) account in the UK (since the bank doesn't give atms for it). Can I just take the money I'd need for the first one month, and leave the rest in my gtb current account. Or are there any advantages to converting much money first before leaving. |

bunburized: I just stepped out of Diamond bank branch around my area after filling loads of forms with £2,440 in my pocket at a mouth watering rate of 262.Wow, hope it would remain same tomorrow or even get better. I should change mine tomorrow. |
can CAS be sent through the email and printed out? or it had to be sent by mail?
It can be sent through e-mail. |

I hadn't gotten my visa last time I tried, but with this info, I'd try using the bank again. Xteeeee:Ok thanks will do that tomorrow, I wish this currency rate reduce to 240Lol, dreamer |
bunburized: I got my ticket from wakanow and the agent asked if I needed insurance which I kindly declined because the charge(50k +) was way too astronomical.First and last time I tried changing money at the bank, I was told CBN had banned banks from changing money. Do banks still change money? |

gonelsystems: I am applying to UKBA and want to know if its okay to have funds in my personal account and to also present my legal Guardians account with a court statement showing that he is my Legal guardian. Also, if my program is for 2yrs, do i need to show the total amount for the cost of living for the entire 2 yr period or one yearYou need to show your maintenance for just the first nine months of your stay too. Yes if the money in your account is not complete, and you have no better options, then you can show your legal guardian's account too, its left for them to believe whether he really is your legal guardian or not. |
justwise: Think carefully before leaving Nigeria to any country because you might end up wasting that money. ![]() |
ochukoccna: Just keep your inane ideas about life to yourself and live however you wantHehe, now it's the 'problem with Africa' thing as if you are Asian. Spare me the crap biko. Well, I'm not in Aberdeen yet, so you are the one who needs all the time in whatever school you are in. And while at it, don't forget to learn some manners before coming back to Nigeria. If I was meeting you for the first time in real life and asking you a question about anything at all, you won't call me foolish to my face and expect me to say thank you sir, except ofcourse you are a mad person. So don't do it because you are in a faceless forum. Especially when there are tons of other people giving well-mannered replies. |
