Yes and 100%. OBJ too is a failure in my eyes. They have all failed in my opinion because those advanced in their 'ruminations' over the problems of Nigeria, and the soultions required, knows that every President not committed to teaching Nigeria/Nigerians to fish is a potential failure.

A President simply arriving to give Nigerians fish (subsidy in various forms) to quell temporary hunger only worsens the problem because Nigerians will forever remain poor, deprived and hungry if they are not given the capacity to fish for themselves to then become a pivotal part of the solution our Nation needs to attain and sustain greatness.

A child that is starved of education will only and predictablly become an adult that is unskilled, worthless, unproductive and incapable of providing solutions as his educated peers worldwide who have used their knowledge of catching fish independently for themselves to develop great nations.

The challenge for any well-meaning and determined Nigerian President is therefore mentally tasking because of what his predecessors have left behind.

The choice (a) is to abide with the same discredited structure previous Presidents sustained that only provides barely adequate fish, at most, yet keep most Nigerians so poor they can never dream of buying a home or car, or even earning living wages, as obtains elsewhere worldwide.

Or (b) initiate the process to teach Nigerians to fish, painful in the short term, that will ensure Nigeria moves rapidly and sustainably towards being a developed nation of the world with a happier, wealthier, more productive, better eudcated/skilled, more innovative, more driven, more fulfilled and more mentally/physically healthier populace.

All Presidents since 1999 have chosen option A and are therefore failures to me.

Tinubu is trying to go with option B. While I can understand the pain his choice is causing for Nigerians, I also know we are 100% doomed continuing as others had run Nigeria before Tinubu.

My belief is that it is okay to make some personal sacrifices and give him two years at least to try and implement his own ideas , since others before him have failed over 8 and 5 years, rather than for us to reject and frustrate reforms that may be painful today but will truly liberate and empower the human resources and economy of Nigeria sustainably and for good as we see with developed Countries.

That's great!

Questions.

Q1, Do you honestly believe Tinubu and his team have any well thought out policy and plan they are following through to ensure the country is better and the citizens' welfare is improved.

Q2. Do honestly believe a govt that "initiate the process to teach Nigerians to fish" will 'remove' subsidy only to turnaround and do it secretly and release #90b for religious subsidy but proposed less for education with lots of bottlenecks attached?

Q3. You believe "it is okay to make some personal sacrifices" but the government should enjoy the 'sacrificed items'

In my simple assessment, this government lacks vision and direction.

A festival that will be full of fun could be predicted by the level of preparation

Tinubu is not mentioned in the article and it is clear the author is talking about general leadership failure over the past 25 years.

You can use another thread to relevantly indict Tinubu of whatever you wish but dont hijack one he is not mentioned in, or the subject of, to be bashing him while you ignore the point the author of the article has made.

This is a problem for Nigeria today. I.e an electorate too emotionally engrossed in the hatred of individuals and personalities to ever see the big picture.

The article author even makes this point by arguing most elected Nigerian leaders , which include the Governors and Senators you put in office, have failed over 25 years.

Yet some only know to mention Tinubu everytime and everywhere as if he is an omnipresent force present and active at all State, local government, Ministerial and legislative constituencies of the entire Nation with Governors, local government chairmen, Ministers, Reps and Senators having no responsibility at all.

I like your point on this matter. I truly acknowledge the intelligenc, but hope this has always been your view from Goodluck to Buhari?

He talked about inadequacies of 2023 election rulings and not specifically about PEPT. One of the inadequacy of the 2023 election rulings is the Appeal court judgement in the case of over 20 members of the Plateau state house of assembly and NASS members. The Supreme Court took a different position in the same matter regarding the governor but the legislators couldn’t benefit from the Supreme Court decision. Issues like this is what the CJN is talking about.

Some of you are just... I don't know.

Did you read this?
“As for those areas that our inadequacies are manifestly obvious, we have to properly address them and bring on board new methods and approaches..."

An APC member is criticising his own party for gross failure, even worse than a military regime and you are saying, "No free money, losers are always crying and mourning"? Are APC members losers or northerners?
