Education / Re: 5 Reasons Why You Should Save Your Certificates/Documents On The Cloud by Royruky(m): 10:02pm On Jan 24, 2020
Moneyfem:
What is cloud? Cloud is simply e-space. It is storage drive that is internet-based. The sure bet when it comes to cloud storage for personal files and documents is Google Drive though you can save your documents as draft on your any other email address and any cloud storage service provider available on the web.

It is important you save all your credentials and precious documents in the Cloud for these five key reasons:

1. Immune to fire outbreak: Unlike hard copies of your documents, the ones in the Cloud are intact and untouchable by fire. If you don't save your original credentials in the cloud and fire razes the room where you have the hard copies, that is the end and it may lead to suicide if care is not taken.

2. Immune to oil, soup and Water/flood invasion: Water, soup stain or oil can never have its way to the e-space.

3. Immune to theft and loss: In as much you secure your login details, nobody can steal any of your e-documents and you yourself cannot lose them irreversibly. If you lose any of your hard copies, you can easily retrieve it from the Cloud.

4. Immune to rats and insects. Rats and insects like cockroach have ruined the lives of many by feasting on their original credentials. If you have your credentials in the cloud, you cannot experience such because the only rats and insects you will see on the internet are the ones in YouTube videos.

5. Immune to village people. Wicked village people are usually after your hard copies. I've never seen anyone complain that he can't find his documents backed up in the Cloud. Village people don't have power over the internet yet.

How to Save Your Hard Copies on the Cloud

It is as simple as A B C! Scan the hard copies of your credentials with a scanner to convert them to soft copies and save them on the computer or hard/flash drive. After scanning, log in to your Google Drive or your preferred cloud storage provider and save them there. For your information if you don't know, you can log in to Google Drive with your gmail login details.

Be wise!

Thanks for reading.

Farmers use pesticides, herbicides and other chemicals to grow thier crops. From my investigations, farmers use overdose which is bad for our health. But let me say this, they are minor demons. The real demons are warehouses owners. Ha! These ones are merciless. They are killers. They use terrible chemicals to keep rodents away from their grains. I will not mention any brand or active ingredient as they are reading also.

There are two kinds of pesticides which are: systemic and contact. Systemic goes into every part of the plants. It enters the fruits, stems, branches, leaves, flowers, roots, etc. While contact stays only around the area you spray it on the plants. Plants dont absorb contact kinds. Therefore, you can still wash away contact, but you can do nothing about fruits and veggies sprayed with systemic pesticides. No amount of washing will clean it off. One can wash away 95% of contact pesticides.

Get sea salt or baking powder, and pour in water. Soak your vegetables and fruits inside, and let it stay under water for minimum of 15 mins. You may need to put something with weight on top of your veggies to make them sink.

Take note: if the fruits are sprayed with systemic, you cannot remove pesticides in them. Also, peeling off the skin of mango, cucumber, oranges, etc does not have effect in removing the bad content in them. It is systemic and it has been absorbed by the plant. The content is right inside the fruits. The way out is that farmers should wait for the number of required days for the plants to wash off the chemicals in their systems by themselves. But farmers don't do it. They can even spray chemicals the day they are harvesting. This is sad. But this is the reality.

If you love yourself, learn how to grow organic vegetables in Nigeria. If you reside abroad, you are still lucky as you can buy it in grocery stores. Food is food in Nigeria. Many organic growers have been doscouraged because Nigerians do not value them. There are farmers (young graduates) into organic vegetables and chicken production on Nairaland. Check the Agric section. You will save a lot of money buying from them. Why? You are buying directly from the farmer. If you have garden in your compound, contact some of them and let them come show you how to get started. But be carefulnnot to invite robbers into your home. Nigeria is a delicate nation.

I assure you that you will recover gradually if you follow my instructions.

I did not get the outcome of the area in bold letters

Nairaland / General / Re: Pls Help! My Friend Is Remanded For The Crime He Didn't Commit by Royruky(m): 9:43pm On Nov 23, 2019
micellgevity:
Few months back, my friend was remanded in Ilesha prison for a crime he didn't commit. He used to work with one major hard drinks distributor in Ilesha as a salesperson until the manager was sacked and he was asked to assume the position of the manager. He rejected the offer but the management insisted. Since he had no other job, he reluctantly obliged. The company had no proper record keeping and the way the organization was being run was below the standard. My friend saw this, and called the management's attention to it. He was trying to put things in shape before he was accused of embezzlement and taken to remand. If he actually embezzled their money, he would have used part of it to get a lawyer to defend himself. Somebody that could not afford a lawyer fee. On getting to the police station when the case freshly began, the police said "eyin tun ni." Meaning "it is you again." This expression means remanding their employees has become their style. I don't know why a (family) company will be remanding the defenseless employees. After spending close to three weeks in remand, one lawyer stood for him on the promise that he would pay him after his freedom. Up to now he is still struggling to pay the lawyer before the adjourned date. Fast forward... He appeared in court on the 23rd of October and the judge adjourned again till the 30th of the same month. This was the last time I heard from him. He has been remanded again. If not for the demise of his brother, he had no business working with the company in the first place. He joined the company after the demise of his brother, who died two weeks before going back to Australia. Iku ma b'olaje o. Death is a bitch.
Pls push this to the front page, may be human right lawyers from Osun will see it and help. Pls help us.

The information here is not enough. Maybe you can tell why he was remanded again? Embezzlement is a bailable offence usually prosecuted in the Magistrate Court. Why the High Court?

Was he granted bail by the Court when he was arraigned?

In that case, the quantity of satin would be lesser. I supply and recommend experienced painters that have proven themselves to me over time but if you're not on ground, I could handle them on your behalf since I would be responsible for recommending them.
I gave best price for good quality products. my matte could pass for some other satin, so even these products have different qualities.
You could prime the building instead of screeding and still get a good result.
I've supplied primer for several buildings and you would think it was screeded.
Here is a link to a recently concluded one: https://www.nairaland.com/4577731/ongoing-painting-pictures-nairalanders-lekki.
Both internal and external was primed and painted satin and matte respectively.
Location is no barrier sir.
Below are pictures primer and after painting of a building with a very serious case of cracks. some more than hairline.
I couldn't create a thread for it because I didn't get the go ahead, the client wanted to post it on his building diary thread but never got around to doing it again but want to use these as illustrationpurpose.

Good day. Can you use Matte paint on a wall that is PRIMED?

Experience has taught me that most services providers on Nairaland care little about their reputation. It is bad and may continue to be so even in the near future.

MY EXPERIENCE

Some months ago, I contacted someone (name withheld but MOST be disclosed later) to supply me LONG SPAN ROOFING SHEETS of 0.45MM. The sheets were supplied as agreed.

His staffs also roofed the house as agreed. I was happy and TAUGHT that Nairaland has helped to cut off GREEDY ALUMINUM COMPANIES.

Little did I know that it was a case of penny wise pound foolish.

Within ONE MONTH of the roofing of the house, I discovered that several places were leaking water. I had to engage someone to seal the holes. It turns out to be a case of one week one trouble.

I promptly confronted the service provider to express my dissatisfaction with the services he rendered. He promised to visit the site to assess the extent of the leakage and proffer solution. I NEVER held from him till date

This led me to investigate the MM of the sheets to determine if the actual MM was supplied. It was a FRAUD. The sheets supplied were below .45MM agreed to.

As at today, I have taken steps to seal every nail on the roofing sheets and equally seal ever holes. Experts have however told me that as time goes on the sheets will give way. It is a disaster waiting to happen.

Interestingly, the service provider has a thread that has been active for more than 5 years...He is a man of reputation you may say.

I thought of going to the thread to pour out my lamentation but I did not. However, I have removed my feedback on the services he rendered to me from the thread.

My people, MOST of them are looking for ways to cut corners and enrich themselves at your detriment. SHINE YOUR EYE

I will post the piteous state of the house that was roofed not more than 6 months ago.

It is a disaster. I will add it to my archives as one of my mistakes in my life journey.

Nksleek:
Medical doctors at Cedarcrest Hospital, in Apo District of Abuja, have efficiently operated on a 13-month-old child, Michael Duniya, who was viciously attacked by a pit bull at Mambilla Barracks, Abuja, on Tuesday, October 8.

Cedarcrest Hospitals was the place Yusuf, son of President Muhammadu Buhari, was first handled following his accident on an influence bike in December 2017.

Our Reporters gathered that the black dog, believed to be a pit bull, reportedly broke free from its cage and wandered off into the block the place little Michael was taking part in together with his four-year-old brother.

Upon seeing the dog, his older brother instantly fled into the home, however Michael was not fast sufficient because the dog pounced on him.

The dog subsequently grabbed Michael by the head and pulled him about 30 metres away and had bitten him repeatedly.

A neighbour, who wished to stay nameless, stated she shortly raised the alarm.

The dog needed to be killed before the infant could possibly be rescued from its lethal grip, our Correspondent reported.

Health / Re: Help Needed: Sleeplessness, Persistent Pain In The Head And Neck by Royruky(m): 6:24am On Sep 13, 2019
ssgi4in1:
Good evening good people. I am hoping I will get some help here.
Pls this will be a bit a long. I beg you to read. So you can understand better.

My problem started last year April (2018). I was diagnosed with typhoid and malaria. I was started on a course of treatment that involves anti malaria and an antibiotics (azithromycin). I noticed the quality of my sleep was dropping after taking the antibiotic for 2 days. My instincts was that it was the medicine. I eventually stopped taking it but by then my sleep have become badly affected. I woke up a Sunday morning after taking some drinks the previous night at a wedding with one severe type of headache ( I started the antibiotics on Thursday, took on Friday and missed it that Saturday) I continued that Sunday morning. So I eventually stopped all medicine and consulted a doctor friend. By then I had gone two nights with little or no sleep. He prescribed some drugs that was meant to induce sleep and even increased the dosage yet I still couldn't sleep.

Meanwhile before then, I am someone who could be called a sleeper. I can sleep at anytime without stress. I even take naps here and there in my office. So it was strange.

I eventually went to some hospitals and their treatment involved giving me sleep medicines and sometimes it could help me get very little amount of sleep and then it will make me feel very groggy and heavily fatigued. By this time a weird sensation have developed in the left side of my back head (this pain doesn't come and go... It is permanent). After spending some huge amounts I wasn't getting relief until I went to a neurologist. He first suspended all the sleep medications and started giving me amitriptyline 5mg every night ( after few days I started feeling better and had some deep sleep) but still the problem wasn't gone ( head pain and stiff neck).

I was paying about 30k monthly at the neurologists. It wasn't sustainable and I eventually stopped and decided to take my fate in my own hands. I eventually stopped taking any medication for sleep last November.

Between then and now, I have had some good nights where I slept very deeply and nights when I struggled. I have gone like 2 weeks without sleep issues. But still the pain in the back of the head and neck still persist.

Just yesterday I went to consult another gp and his diagnosis was that it was the poor sleep that is causing the pain in the head and neck. But I still find it difficult to believe. I will be having a video session with an Indian neurologist tommorow and I hope he will make a different diagnosis.

My coming here is to know if anyone have had an experience with my case and I would like to know how they solved their problem.

I will appreciate any suggestion that will be of help.

Thank you.

Good morning. I had similar issue some years ago. My doctor diagnose TENSION HEADACHE and gave me amitriptyline 5mg. My God. I slept and slept and slept. Before the medication, I was treating Malaria and typhoid almost every week. The sleep is even a side effect of the drug.

The amitriptyline 5mg really came handy. I no longer treat malaria every week. The doctor later increased the dosage years later.

The headache may be associated with the way and manner you discontinued the amitriptyline 5mg. I will suggest you restart the amitriptyline 5mg. God's speed in your journey to full recovery
