BREAKING: Philadelphia teen who exposed his classmates’ inability to read or comprehend simple sentences says he is now being threatened with expulsion, not graduating, and being barred from prom.
The X post highlights a Philidelphia High School student claiming his school is retaliating against him after his prior video exposed his school mates struggling to read a sentence.
In the viral clip, the student hands out a piece of paper to his classmate and asks them to read out loud the sentence written on the paper.
"The colonel asked the choir to accommodate the governor's schedule."
Multiple students had trouble in reading vocabulary heavy-sentences such as "colonel", "accommodate", "choir" fluently, revealing widespread literacy gap among high schoolers.
When asked to explain what it means in their own words, responses are confused, incomplete, or incorrect.
The video highlights literacy and vocabulary comprehension issues among some high school students. It has sparked widespread discussion about public/charter school performance, with many viewing the school's reported retaliation (threats of expulsion, etc.) as an attempt to silence the exposure rather than address the underlying problems.

A 19-year-old woman gave birth to twins and a paternity test later revealed something incredibly rare. Each twin had a different father. She was friends with both fathers, only hours apart, and doctors explained that she had released two eggs that were fertilised separately on the same day. This unusual situation is known as Heteropaternal superfecundation.
How did she find out?
As per the report, the mother had doubts about the father of her kids and to confirm that she did the DNA test using the sample of the person she had thought was the father. After the test, she found that only one of her kids showed positive for the DNA test while the other one did not. "She then remembered that she had sex with a different man on the same day and when this second person took a test, it showed he was the second twin's father," says the report.
This rare event occurs exclusively in dizygotic twins and has an estimated incidence of 1 in 400 twin births in the general population, rising to 2.4% in paternity disputes, according to a 1992 study in Acta Geneticae Medicae et Gemellologiae.
This phenomenon was initially presented by Archer in 1810.
"Although rare in humans, heteropaternal superfecundation is common in dogs, cats and cows," a report by The Guardian says. Two scenarios can be explained in this: First, a woman can release two eggs at the same time. Since sperm can survive for a few days it would be possible to have sex with one father-to-be in advance of the egg being released, and another just after ovulation. In the second scenario, the woman releases two eggs a few days apart but in the same reproductive cycle.
As per the media report, only 20 other such cases have been reported so far.
Meet Edward Makuka Nkoloso, A primary school teacher who aimed to beat the USA and Soviet Union with just 12 Zambian astronauts, including a 16-year-old curvaceous girl, by spinning them around a tree in an oil drum and training them to walk on their hands, "the only way humans can walk on the moon.
Zambia gained it's independence on October 24, 1964. The former British protectorate of Northern Rhodesia, taking it's new name from the great Zambezi River, which inspired the name Zambia.
Edward Nkoloso was born in the British colony that was then known as Northern Rhodesia in 1919. The British drafted him during WOrld War II and he served as a sergeant in the Signal Corp using his wartime language skill as a translator for the colonial Northern Rhodesia government.
"Some people think I'm Crazy," declared an ambitious Edward Makuka to an Associated Press reporter, "But I'll be laughing the day I plant Zambia's flag on the moon".
Nkoloso's plans for a Zambia space program were not just paper proposal. The rocket hardware that the Zambian Space program would use was known as "-Kalu 1". It was a 10-foot by 6-foor drum-shaped vessel. The name was based on the first Zambian president, Kenneth David Kaunda. Nkoloso claimed the metal composition of the hardware made it space-worthy.
Nkoloso said he had been inspired by his first airplane flight. When the pilot refused to stop the plane so that he could take a piss, Nkoloso made up his mind to enter the space race.
Newspapers reported that Nkoloso boldly requested for funds ranging from twenty million to two billion dollars from Israel, Russia the US, the UAE, and even UNESCO. But instead of checks, he received piles of reject letters and well-wishes offering plenty advise. However, he did receive small donations from individuals around the world including a 10-rupee note, mailed by an enthusiastic Indian school boy who believed in Nkoloso's leap to the moon.
Despite the failed outcome, Nkoloso refused to give up on his quest to be the first man on the Moon. Nkoloso demonstrated D.I.Y. space technology and training. These included rolling down a hill in a forty-gallon oil drum to simulate the weightless condition of the moon, The mulolo swinging system which involved swinging from the end of a long rope and cutting the rope when it reaches it's highest point.
“We have tied ropes to tall trees and then swung our astronauts slowly out into space.” Nkoloso had considered launching the shuttle with a catapult system which turned out to be "too primitive,".
As you may have guessed, the Zambian Space Program never materialized. “My spacemen thought they were film stars. They demanded payment,” Nkoloso told the A.P. in August, 1965. “Two of my best men went on a drinking spree a month ago and haven’t been seen since . . . Another of my astronauts has joined a local tribal song and dance group.” Even in the early days, Nkoloso had complained that “they won’t concentrate on space flight—there’s too much love making when they should be studying the moon.” Matha Mwamba - The only female astronaut on the team - eventually got pregnant and dropped out. The program suffered from a lack of funds, for which Nkoloso blamed “those imperialist neocolonialists” who were, he insisted, “scared of Zambia’s space knowledge.”
You can still watch documentary footage from 1964 of Nkoloso and his team training in Zambia on YouTube. A group of young men and women, dressed unassumingly and mostly barefoot, jump up and down, clapping their hands in front of a banner reading “ZAMBIA SPACE ACADEMY.”
Even as the interest in and infrastructure of the Zambian Space Program waned, Nkoloso kept up his campaign on the importance of de-colonialism and the scars that European rule had left in Africa.
He was appointed by President Kaunda to the Liberation Center, a movement for regional freedom. He championed government support for witch doctors on at least one occasion. He claimed that they should have a place beside physicians, and that they are an antidote for Christianity which had hurt Africa's medical skills, but states that he did not practice witchcraft himself. He retired in 1972.
He received a law degree from the University of Zambia in 1983. He was awarded the Russian Jubilee Medal "Forty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945". He also served as president of the Ndola Ex-servicemen's Association and made an honorary army colonel. He died on 4 March 1989, and was buried with presidential honours.
Since you said you are just starting out, I will assume you have no basic knowledge about how computers work in general, I will say you start with CompTIA A+, it will teach you the very basics - I'm not asking you to do the certification.
Also start learning any 1 or 2 programming languages of your choice - if you want to start with python, you can try angela yu 100 days python challenge it's a good course for beginners.
You also need basic windows & linux administrative knowledge, you can start with installing the OS on a VM then learning basic task like configuring a server, running a cron job ...
Learn Computer Networking and it's use, have an understanding on concepts like IP address, Network Subnetting and calculation, knowing different IP ranges, the OSI and TCP/IP model, Port numbers and their functions.
That is the beginning phase, with the little knowledge you've gained, i believe you will be able to figure which cybersecurity domain you want to focus on then continue from there.
Some extra resources to help you out
Comptia Linux+ Windows internals (1,2,3) - Pluralsight CCNA - essential topic only Comptia Network+ Google, Youtube
These are just basic stuff anyone just starting out needs to know, there is still pretty much alot you need to learn
Stop spreading fake news about a company's product and also tarnishing the image of Jumia online store, you guys in Nigeria are so wicked and careless with your actions.
It's not easy to build a brand, stop destroying one
I already reviewed the product sold on the official Nigerian website, There is no product being sold with 72h protection. The original one being sold is 48h. You can verify my claim by checking the site yourself.
The fake one's in the pictures below are the one's with 72h instead of 48h. Someone should correct if I'm wrong.
The same applies to the body lotion; if you compare it with what's sold in their official Nigerian store, some of the products are completely different.
It's a historically inaccurate meme that's been circulating for the past few years, there is no evidence to suggest that 13 men killed themselves because of her just like the op stated. It was likely made by an internet troll just to trend.
The Year 2028 problem is a problem caused by how electronics and computer devices store dates. When these dates reach 1 second after 03:14:07 UTC on January 2038 they will have an error and incorrectly store the wrong date (in some cases 20:45:52 on Friday, 13 December 1901). To understand why this happens, we need to understand the background on how these dates are stored.
WHAT IS THE YEAR 2038 PROBLEM?
Basically, each computer keeps track of time in the UNIX format simply referred to as a timestamp. UNIX time is the number of seconds that have elapsed since midnight on 01 January 1970 (UTC/GMT), which is known as the "epoch".
For example
The current UNIX time as of when writing this article is 1716278870
Most 32-bit computers can only hold 32-bit signed variables (2^32). A 32-bit signed variable can hold numbers as big as 2 147 483 647.
So once 2 147 483 647 seconds since the epoch has passed, which will be on the 19th of January 2038 at 03:14:07 UTC, the time variable will overflow and revert to -2 147 483 647 causing the computer to think the date is the 13th of December 1901.
Note this problem does not just impact UNIX systems as many programming languages and systems adopted this date format to represent time.
Will I Be Affected
Almost certainly not, since all smartphones and computers made within the last decades are 64-bit, which can hold numbers big as 9 223 372 036 854 775 807 and their time variable won't overflow until the year 292 277 026 596. So most consumer devices (except really old ones) will not be affected.
As for other devices (Like ATMs, Military equipment and others), by the year 2038 it is likely that most 32-bit devices will no longer be in use because of the impending time overflow.
How Do I Check If This Will be A Problem.
All systems are different and it would be impossible to come up with a full list of things to check but here are some things to look out for:
- Databases that have timestamps stored as signed 32 bit integers - Hardware running 32 bit software or operating systems - Embedded systems that may store dates as signed 32 bit integer timestamps - Database functions that use 32 bit integer representations of times such as UNIX_TIMESTAMP()
You will need to rely on experts to check all the systems especially if you have critical software running that you absolutely can’t afford to break for any amount of time.
If you are running all 64 bit software this does not guarantee you won’t have any issues. Even in these systems dates can still be stored using a signed 32 bit integer and these systems could rely on other systems that may have this issue.
It’s also important to note that not all 32 bit software will have this issue, in fact the vast majority of 32 bit software probably won’t have this issue. A lot of 32 bit software will store dates in special structures that can handle dates far in excess of the year 2038 but the only real way to know how the dates are stored and used in a system is to check.
Thales01: Good morning everyone. So I made a transfer of 4k to my Opay account yesterday from my Zenith bank account. It was recorded as successful but I am yet to see the money reflected in my Opay account neither has it been reversed in my zenith bank account. I am just confused cos I have never experienced this kind of problem with Opay vs before. Pls what do I do?
Check if a session ID was generated and share it with zenith bank staff onsite or via call, they'll be a able track the transaction with it.
I think I have watched a movie before based on this scenario before. The kid was suffering from a condition related to dyslexia and dysgraphia . They both fall under specific learning disorder, maybe you might need to see a therapist to find out if she's suffering from this issue.
Her brain might be having difficulty decoding them, an example is not being able to tell O, P and D apart. You need to teach her in a much more slower detailed manner. if possible see a therapist to carefully evaluate the problem. You need to also go to her school to find out more about how she behaves in class, like if she has issues reading out loud from a book in front of the whole class, evaluate her test notes and exam paper to observe her writing style just to have a much more detailed overview of the issue is facing.
Also be careful with the beating, she might be trying her best to actually memorize those words. It'll instead demoralize her, making her confused as to why she's having difficulty remembering, which might not be her fault.
immortalcrown: Unintentional authorization is not "unauthorized".
I don't quite get you, even if she did forget to logout of her account, Op discovered she was still logged in. He could have simply logged out but he decided to read her private message and discuss them here. At this point he is maintaining unauthorized access to her account.
immortalcrown: You are just busy writing what is not relevant to the topic.
How the journalist got the school information is totally different from how the owner of this post got access to the girl's chat. Therefore, the two cases don't have the same legal implications.
Sorry for beating around the bush, I didn't properly read how he initially got access to her account. More correctly, this is just a case of unauthorized access since the owner already logged in to his device.
immortalcrown: No country in this world will legally punish him for reading her chats on his own phone in this situation. This is because she herself willingly activated her account on his phone and compromised her own safety by not logging out her account from his phone. He can be punished if he misuse the information he gets from her chats, but he cannot be legally punished for reading her chats. Quote me anywhere.
The example you gave is different from this case. The school did not release the website source code to the journalist. The journalist did something that gave him access to the source code. This OP's case is different because the girl herself gave him access to her account. If you give someone your debit card and tell the person the card's PIN, your bank will not be legally blame if the person takes money from your account.
The school does not need to disclose the source code, You could access the compiled source code of any website by pressing the F12 key and selecting "View Source Code." Through this, He decoded the encoded employee data, revealing their details. All the information seen was already publicly accessible.
It's just like me clicking your username and viewing your password via the compiled source code which can be accessed publicly but it was still considered as "hacking" by the authorities in power, which was considered foolish by experts.
When individuals lacking understanding in certain fields hold positions of authority, you encounter nonsensical decisions like this becoming law.
This is why the term hacking can vary based on country laws
immortalcrown: This is not hacking if she is the one that activated her account on your device.
Is she underage? If yes, why didn't you go and mount at the hotel gate so that she will not deny the act?
If she is up to the age of consent, sit her down and counsel her.
Countries have different laws as to what is considered hacking. He did access her account without her authorization and it can considered hacking based on some other country laws. Even if she did login on his phone, he was not given permission to have access to her private messages. It might sound stupid, but people can get you sued for something as little as this in another country.
For example, A journalist in missouri faced potential hacking charges due to the fact he pressed the f12 key on his keyboard and viewing a school website source code which revealed sensitive employee details.

You should try Indian food too, It is a bit expensive but when i tasted it, I just don't know but it tasted so good and they have lots of different dishes to choose from.
If i should be honest, we don't have much delicacies in Nigeria although they're are good too.
American food is the worse, it's all junks and they consider it healthy.
I hope to taste other country's food, there's so much joy just eating something new for the first time.
Doctors in Australia are sharing information about a first-ever medical discovery. They pulled a live, wriggling three-inch worm from a woman's brain! A 64-year-old woman was experiencing forgetfulness and worsening depression when doctors found a lump in her brain.
This issue might be caused due to eating of under-cooked fish/meat or vegetables, contaminated water, or poor handwashing.
Depending on the type of parasitic worm, when the eggs reaches your stomach, the acid causes it to wake up and hatch. It will then make holes through your stomach intestine and your body, in some cases, reaching the brain. They reproduce themselves or with other worms that has gotten to the same place. Thereby, making laying more eggs, and spreading throughout the body.
The most common symptoms experienced by victims with similar cases includes seizures, forgetfulness, stiff neck, headaches, nausea, vomiting, and confusion.
If the EU didn't force apple to start making iPhone compatible with the USB-C model, I don't think apple will be willing to migrate to this model. Just that they'll loose lots of customer base in the EU which isn't worth it for them.
Hate to bust your bubbles but know that volte/5g is disabled on pixel phones by Google for regions that don't have an official market and Nigeria is part of that list.
The only way to bypass these is via root, but you miss out on getting regular software updates from Google.
These portable, low-battery operated devices are available all over the internet ranging from about 10$ -to 500$, with a beam power of maybe up to a few hundred milliwatts. These devices when used against aircraft are harmful and can blind or disorient the pilot and jeopardized the safety of the craft and everyone aboard.
What is a handheld laser used for?
Lasers are categorized by strength, ranging from Class 1 (Those used to play CDs) to Class 4 devices (Those strong enough to cut metal), However the strength of laser pens can vary.
Introduced in the 1990s, the small laser pointers that are used for business presentations, entertaining pets or pointing out stars might be the most familiar type for ordinary people. Affordable higher-powered laser pointers also are widely available online.
When you point a laser into the sky at night, the beam seems to end after a few hundred meters. However, this is a dangerous illusion and you could be arrested. A person can think their laser beam can't reach an aircraft, since the beam looks "short".
Light from a laser does not stop in mid-air, but continues going. A pilot at the other can clearly see the light from even a relatively low powered 5 mW green laser, at a distance of over 2miles. The beam can look like this
Pilots can be "temporarily blinded" and in some cases lasting eye injuries.
According to Aviation expert John Nance "During a critical phase of flight or at takeoff, if you have both pilots simultaneously covering their faces and they can't see the instruments, you're going to increase [the chance] that they're going to over-control or under-control the airplane," said Nance.
How a laser strike incident is reported
Here's an example of how an incident is reported in the US. Local authorities interview witnesses and gather evidence about the event, including videos or other visual evidence.
FAA data suggests the number of reported laser strikes in 2022 is on track to surpass last year's all-time high. During the first quarter of this year, the FAA received 2,275 reported laser strikes, up from 1,944 in 2021.
The FAA thinks part of the reason these strikes are surging the way they are is that laser pointers are powerful and cheap.
Paying the price of a laser strike
It is not an offense to possess a laser but strong laws have been passed by countries which allows offenders to be charged and sent to prison for shining a light at an aircraft in flight so as to dazzle or distract the pilot.
In 2014 three men from Leicestershire were jailed for using laser pens to dazzle pilots coming in to land at East Midlands Airport in the UK.
On April 7, 2022, a man in Philadelphia was sentenced to one year in jail and fined $1,000 for aiming a laser at a police helicopter that was on a regular nightly patrol.
On April 19, 2022, a man in Michigan City, Mississippi, was sentenced to three years' probation for shining a laser 49 times at aircraft, mainly FedEx planes, arriving at Memphis International Airport over a period of months in 2021.
As of today, No plane crashes have been reported from laser strikes
