Phones › Report: Don’t Expect A Charger Or Earphones In The Galaxy S30’s Box by RubiesBanking(op): 9:01pm On Oct 28, 2020 |
• A report from Korea suggests Samsung will follow Apple by ditching the charger from the Galaxy S30 series’ packaging.
• It adds that Samsung won’t include a pair of wired earphones in the box either as the Galaxy S30 series is expected to launch in early 2021.
A report from Korea suggests Samsung will follow Apple by ditching the charger from the Galaxy S30 series’ packaging. It adds that Samsung won’t include a pair of wired earphones in the box either. The Galaxy S30 series is expected to launch in early 2021.
Reports from July pointed to Samsung ditching the bundled charger from its future smartphone packaging. Now, another report from the firm’s home country is substantiating this claim, suggesting that the Galaxy S30 may not arrive with a full box.
ChosunBiz, citing industry insiders, suggests that Samsung will follow Apple by not only ditching the in-box charger but its bundled earphones, too. While the Galaxy S20 series included a 25W charger and a pair of USB-C AKG earphones, the Galaxy S30 series may just include a cable and a SIM eject tool.
Despite its open criticism of Apple’s charger-less boxes, not including accessories with its phones makes financial sense for Samsung. Instead of dropping these components in the box for free, it can coax buyers to purchase its range of wireless earbuds and chargers if they so wish. It’s done just that before, asking users to buy another $50 charger to activate the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s 45W charging mode.
Not including these in-box goodies won’t massively reduce Samsung’s environmental impact. Although smaller boxes will cut down on shipping costs, like Apple, it’ll still have to produce chargers and earphones to sell to users who require replacements. It’s also likely that users will feel the real impact of the move.
While Samsung won’t be the first Android OEM to skip bundled earphones, we’d expect its premium devices to be among the last. When buying a $1,000 smartphone, you’d also expect the device to arrive with a full box of accessories, or at least cost a little less. It’s unclear if Samsung would adjust the price of the Galaxy S30 series to offset the missing charger and earphones.
Either way, we’ll likely find out soon. The Galaxy S30 series is rumored for a January 2021 launch, much earlier than Samsung’s previous S line. https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-s30-charger-earphones-1172070/

femi4: yes, I mean mediatek, that what all trasson operates on Nah, you will be suprised to know infinix have used a Qualcomm chipset in the past on one of their phones. Besides mediatek is improving, it won't benefit anyone if Qualcomm is the only chip manufacturer in the game. They can decide to slam a huge price tag on their latest chipset since they have no rival. The redmi note 8 pro and some mid budget phones uses the mediatek g90t which is competing with the Snapdragon 720g. |
Phones › Re: Don't Buy Phone Because Of Ram, Refresh Rate Etc by RubiesBanking: 6:11am On Oct 27, 2020 |
femi4: I would rather go for processor's quality. You cannot compare Qualcomm to trasson irrespective of the RAM size etc Your comparing a chipset manufacturing company to a phone manufacturing company. If it's mediatek you mean, theyre also improving on their chipset. |

Is funny how people are siding with the terrorist for a gruesome murder just because a teacher decided to draw a cartoon. I also have Muslim friends but what's wrong is wrong. You can't just decide to kill someone based on your emotions towards religion, this is how religious crisis start and I still find it very stupid for humans to kill someone for insulting their God. Why can't that God decide to do the work himself |

Politics › How True Is This New Police Bill Signed Into Law By Buhari by RubiesBanking(op): 8:06am On Sep 25, 2020 |
Have you read the new Police Bill Buhari just signed into Law?
We are in Soup!
Let me summarize;
The problem began in Section 34 of the Bill where it stated that; a suspect may not be handcuffed, bound or subjected to restraint except “there is reasonable apprehension of violence or an attempt to escape."
This clause means that Nigerians are one step away from being treated like a convict, and only limiting factor is the subjective opinion of the officer in charge.
If the officer woke up on the wrong side of the bed and he/she decides that you're a criminal then Criminal you are.
Section 38 further empowers any police officer without the authority of a court order or an arrest warrant to arrest anyone they perceive as a criminal or deemed to have "committed an offense" against a Law in Nigeria.
As if that is not enough.
Section 49 takes the ridiculous empowerment of police impunity to the next level, empowering police officers to stop and search at random in any public place without any specified reason, parameters or conditions guiding such activity.
Section 52, subsection 3 states that if a suspect has been arrested (an innocent young man with an iPhone for example), the police is empowered to search him “If there are reasonable grounds for believing that he has on his person any stolen items.”
This bill uses passive, innocent-sounding words to enable all kinds of police atrocities against Nigerians, giving officers the power to be on-the-spot judge, jury & executioner based on nothing more than their famously well-educated and informed personal viewpoints and opinions.
Reiterated in Section 86 where yet again the police are given powers to arrest anyone, anywhere, at any time without recourse to any sort of legal process based on nothing more than whatever they feel like at that moment. |
