RudyNerdy:You dey mind them? See as some dey defend the place already. I know what I'm saying.. I have a very personal experience.. very godly gal. Na that same Hall 2 .. Just in two sessions and this very religious, well behaved babe became another creature altogether... Na so we go our separate ways oo. Babe I wey been plan carry go show mama.. E be tinz, bros.... |
Dilemma247:Hmmm, make I talk? |
They have lowered the cut-off mark for entry into the university! Who does that? Just to accommodate folks who have refused vehemently to go to school.. How do you do violence to merit and expect to vigorously compete globally!?! They put up "catchment areas" to make sure that folks from academically active areas don't come to drag university spaces with them. The same people that created "catchment areas" later went ahead to create the NYSC so as to make sure that graduates visit other parts of the country in order to immerse in diverse Nigerian cultures! You don't want them to come and experience your culture as undergraduates because you want your university solely for folks from your area..., but they can come as graduates to teach your kids! Who is fooling who? One anyhow country like that... |
My daughter will never go to that school even if it's the only University left in Nigeria... School wey go turn your humble gal into a monster runz gal in less than one session.., that one na sch? |
Whiteangel1234:Is the north recolonizing Nigeria? |
This is why they summoned him to Minna? His adherence to the northern agenda was the main reason few people from the east worried about his case when he was locked up the other time... Next will be Okorocha to tell you that "competence" is what matters, as if there are no competent people elsewhere... Two judases. It's an old trick of using southern characters created by the northern oligarchy to further the northern interests/agenda.. They should try a new trick because this one is worn out and very predictable.. |
Buhari! You see your life ![]() |
nwaanambra1:This is the kind of mentality you have when you have been so politically pummeled into a dingy corner from where you are ready to accept any crumbs thrown at you.. This mindset shares a family resemblance with the inferiority complex exhibited by some igbo elites at the enugu airport yesterday as they dance and gyrate over an uncompleted airport while Aminu Kano airport at Kano has been turned into a masterpiece years back with eastern resources! It seems like all you APC henchmen that moan endlessly about the second Niger bridge and seem ever willing to use that as the yardstick to measure buharis 'alpha and Omega' status in eastern politics want us to believe that the political/economical demands from the east as it regards the sharing of infastructural developments in Nigeria begins and ends with the second Niger bridge? How many such bridges were biult in Lagos by the Federal government without any commotion? We have bad roads, erosion menace, no reasonable power plant, no rail connections, ineffective airports..., all these while the Federal ministry of works under fashola commissioned only a tomb in the east within the last 5years. Yet you are about to pop champagne.. You don't seem to be getting your political priorities right.. |
MelesZenawi:This is a lie... Roads were done either directly or indirectly! Not at the level you would expect from a government that has the igbo as it's biggest supporter, but then people like Peter obi took advantage of Jonathans presence to do lots of works that the Federal government reimbursed them later... An igbo became the army Chief under Jonathan and prosecuted a largely unbiased recruitment policy that created a level playing field for all. This has been reversed under buhari. Did Jonathan favour the igbo specifically taking into consideration the fact that the east had peculiar infastructural challenges? No! But in most cases, he did not go out of his way to marginalise the east. . His presidency was a disaster for the former Eastern Nigeria in terms of repositioning the east to play effective roles in the politics of the center.., but no way should anyone say he "scammed ndigbo ".. |
Just30:You should have your political tango with Lagos State not Nigeria.. This is a state in Nigeria that is about the same economic size with your dear Ghana.. Stop over-reaching! Matter of fact, with your military strength of about ten thousand men, if Nigeria is thinking of any military action, such should be 'outsourced' to the Lagos State fire service. . You stand no chance. And when you talk of sanctions, who globally in his right senses is going to sanction one of the biggest oil/gas exporter in the world- with all the big multi national players in the field, in favour of one rudderless "goldcoast" that contributes little to nothing to international trade other than producing funny looking presidents every term? Keep massaging your vaulting ego. You lot are lucky you are not dealing with an Abacha type president. |
Just30:Then Sponsor one hungry colonel from that their ten thousand 'strong' army to unravel their democracy... Whatever it takes, we need to have very favourable governments in these capitals near us. Ghanaians have made insulting Nigerians a national pastime.. |
If Nigeria refuses to set example with Ghana, its only a matter of time before the likes of Guinea bisssau and cape Verde start humiliating Nigerias citizens for fun.. it has already started in places like Cameroon and Equitorial Guinea.. No matter how sweet the explanation of the Ghanaians, a decisive action should be unleashed by Nigeria to at least humble the current arrogant group of troublesome politicians in Accra. Cut gas pipeline? Impose trade sanctions? Abacha sponsored a coup in Niger! It's very obvious the current Ghanaian government holds Nigeria and her citizens in low esteem.. We do have our challenges here but that is not enough reason for every Tom Dicck and Harry to take turns killing Nigerians in West Africa of all places... But we have to face reality; this is Daurras Bubu and gang.., they will sleep off on this... There are more important things to do like defending"Libyans" killing Nigerians in Nigeria.. |
Athur Ezze is the ultimate political jobber of all time... This was a man who said he will commit suicide if Abacha was not allowed to transmute from a military Head of state to a civilian president and that Nigeria will be finished without Abacha at the helm! Abacha died suddenly and Arthur refused to go to Golgotha.. |
They don't show us pictures of him fiercely pointing to the future anymore.... #sad |
MrColdsweat:Mai blodaa... E be things.. |
WoundedLamb:Lol, They have already seen my nyansh.. |
WoundedLamb:Mai blodaa.. E no fear you? And you are reminding me now every body has read that? E no good oo |
Christistruth00:Those foreign herdsmen are by far the biggest source of capital flight in this country but they are never mentioned when forex issues are being analyzed.. |
Christistruth00:They willfuly signed agreements within the ECOWAS protocols on sundry/related issues. Those agreements have opened the massive nigerias market for them.. Alomo bitters rakes in billions more from Nigeria than from their home country Ghana.. Corresponding agreements signed by all of them have led to Nigeria loosing thousands of lives in places like Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea etc... Now they want to be enjoying the positives that come with such sub-regional groupings/agreements, only to make a volte-face when they aree needed to chip in some! Moreover, the issues you raised have little to do with the embassy invasions which have become so common these days. Those are no-nos in international relations. It's the height of diplomatic disrespect. You guys should stop obfuscating issues.. |
Rossinky:Nigerias inability to be ruthless and effective in dealing with these irritating cluster of villages that riddle West Africa is one reason they taunt this country.. Nigerias foreign policy thrust needs to be quickly reorganized. This idea of making Africa the center piece is tooooo old school. Nigeria should focus on Nigeria and use her size/diplomatic weight and reach to force the hands of some of these countries.. Look at Cameroon for instance; they brought the French to our borders and many Nigerians were killled and exiled because of bakassi. Today that area is witnessing a self inflicted insurgency. Instead of steadying a colonel at Calabar to supply the insurgents regularly so as to initiate choas and get favourable hands in charge of bakassi as a result, Nigeria is busy arresting the insurgents! Chaotic foreign policy thrust. If it was the isrealis or Iranians, Paul Biya is toast. |
theenchanter:If it means hurting themselves just to get at the so-called ipob, they will.. very petty bunch.. |
Do something.... Use one of these west African countries to set some examples.. Escalate! Force a commotion... It will force their hands somewhat! In igbo land we say that if the snake refuses to act like a snake, kids will use it to tie sticks! Escalate the situation and put up some sort of zero-sum game... Cut of any stuff they benefit from ecowas/Nigeria for a start.. Force them to blink first. Put your weighty knee on their kante kneck.. |
joelbooks:Been to old Beijing, been to tianamen, been to the summer palace, been to the great Wall, been to the forbidden city countless times.., actually lived in China for a period in the past. How can you compare old Beijing to say okpoko in anambra state or Ajegunle in Lagos? Old Beijing has running water nice pavements, clean service delivery and all that together with historical hallmarks that dates bsck to hundreds of years..Not same with the cases here..I'm not saying we should destroy historical neighbourhoods, I'm saying we should reduce the quantity of slums around our cities. Again, folks like making it look like houses biult here in the 70s and 60s are somehow part of our prehistoric heritage, they are not! These are just badly constructed neighbourhoods done in recent memories... We should preserve our heritage not slums .. |
Grgton:You do have a point.. But left to me, in order to eradicate "grand slum living", I will suggest that for every slum torn down, two new neighbourhoods should be biult... By that I mean something close to the"estates", we are used to at the moment in Nigeria replacing the ghettos.. Biulding is a costly venture in Nigeria today basically because of bad policy implementations.. if most biulding materials are produced locally and cheaply, the banks would still have enough funds to redistribute locally to different real estate developing companies, since they will all be banking locally... Problem is when the state intentionally erect monopolies like dangote cement, who will be fixing exhorbitant prices for basic construction materials... Again the need to drastically reduce the number of building materials imported can't be overemphasize here.. |
Grgton:We can tear down cities and biuld new ones that meet modern standards. Nothing absolutely wrong with that as long as the intentions are altruistic and not corrupt as we are seeing with the ejections going at Tarkwa Bay at the moment.. The Chinese are rebiulding and remodeling cities all year long.. You can't ever embark on any of these "grand" initiatives if you tremble at the enermorsity of the undertaking at every turn. |
B3ACHSIDE:No matter how good the laws are, if you don't have a good supervising agency-in this case the civil service- the laws will never be obeyed. You will be stunned to see how good some related laws are. The problem is that the civil service is riddled with a lot of square pegs in round holes.. That said, urbanization still remains the fastest way to move Nigerians out of squalid existence. The Chinese have mastered this perfectly; setting up estate developing companies, backing them up with strong banks, making sure that most raw materials needed for construction are obtained locally at cheap rates while setting up countless schools directly responsible for optimising training to specifics in related areas. The result? Shining skyscrapers in almost every corner in the cities helping to house their teaming millions, production of most biulding materials locally helping to checkmate huge imports that would have drained forex, graduates from colleges helping to internalize biulding skills which they are exporting overseas thereby earning contract for their home country's construction companies, etc. Bottomline; your idea is a very good one, but to have these in Nigeria, a far more pointed wholistic overhaul of the nation's policies towards urbanization/housing/environment need to be enforced to achieve positive results. |
slam7000:The point I'm making is still flying over your head sir, you don't get it.. I'm telling you that no matter the style used, the opposition/taunt/mockery will still come from the usual angles.. , the cartoons will still be here cos the taunts and insults and murders were here before kanu. Infact they were part of the reason that led to his emergence. Don't know you, so it's nothing personal. Don't even know if you are igbo or not. Just stating the obvious. Ten thousand kids were dying per day in Biafra, it didn't stop them from killing you and taunting you and shooting down red Cross planes with the help of foreign imperialists. Folks want you to remake yourself because what they loath is your guts/culture. Are you ready to do so? If you think that massaging their egos with romantic names will change things, then you need to read more about igbo history.. There are lots of ideological conflicts enmeshed in some of these confrontations that you guys dismiss as simple tribal skirmishes..The igbo man should vigorously fight for his space, because with the way things are going the alternative is to be enslaved in his ancestral lands.. |
slam7000:You were doing well until the above.., why do you guys always allow yourselves to be mentally pummeled into a corner where you have to subtly agree with your traducers? Some of you have unconsciously bought into the mercenary narratives of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway press. They have been trying to frame Kanu a fugitive, latching on his so-called"style" as if their support will be assured if the style is changed..They know they cant find anything wrong with the Biafran aspirations so they waste tons of energy railing and demonizing thee socalled "Kanus method" just to disentangle decent minds from a JUST cause... What really is soooo wrong with "Nnamdi kanus method and rhetorics"? Peaceful protests? Is that wrong? Or abusing those responsible for the genocide in the east? Those oppressing you are doing so with all sorts of ruthless evil plans.., progroms, ethnic cleansing, genocide, exclusions from the army/custom/police/civil service/federal power.... They do so brazenly, calling you 5% and leaving your roads and economic structures in ruins. But all that bothers you is Kanus method! What method do you want? Uwazuruikes method that was also met with bullets? |
He was not cleared of corruption... He simply managed to hoodwink the court and got away on technicalities... He will have his day in court one of these days.. very interesting that he made mention of the FOI law to enhance his argument. His Lagos State at the last check seldom obey orders to disclose based on this law. |
Goke7:Not blaming you for anything, just telling you to go and get your security from the commander in chief you instituted.. very simple. We have the army, the police, the Navy, the air Force, the civil defense, the customs the..., All under the presidency. You reelected him because you said he was doing a good job for you the "consequencials".. why forming a parallel security outfit then? You should all be arrested and shot for trying to usurp the power of the presidency through the formation of these alien organization. This was how abiola tried to form a presidency outside the presidency and paid dearly for that.. |
dalass:Nothing went wrong madam! It was a dumb decision, period! You knew he was incompetent just that you thought it will favour you. If it was a mistake, why no correct that during the last elections? Twice you voted for the same man that can't guarantee security and then turn around to form Amotekun! Take a look at yourself.. |
PenSniper:Thick one, there wouldn't have been any herdsmen madness down south if your type didn't sell that daurra dog poo as candy to the electorate.. |
