loopman: So is Lagos not in the SW region? So why are you crying that the SW is getting a larger share of the Work's ministry budget? Why are you doing approbation and re-probation at the same time? You should stop crying about the budget allocation to Shagamu-Benin, Apapa-Oshodi, Lagos-Ibadan and Airport Roads then. You claimed Lagos is not SW but at the same time crying that SW is having a large portion of the budget. Confused people lagos and abuja belong to all Nigerians......simple qtns......what does SW produce, what does NOrth produce and what does SE produce...its obvious that SS lay the egg we all share....apart from the little crude in imo, abia, ondo and even edo,the rest are parasites...those with larger poor population are more parasite than others........ |

Zelex9: Isn't the South East Geo-political zone the smallest in terms of land mass?
Do we know what projects this budget will fund? What about if this "paltry" sum is enough to cover the infrastructure projects set out for the South East?
Let us ask these type of logical questions before shouting tribalism...does budget allocation really matter as long as infrastructure commitments are met? smallest in which aspect, and what is the corrolation btw land size and projects....Nigeria and Japan or switzland which is bigger and which is more advance |

LoveMachine: Don't look at the monetary breakdown. Look at the number of capital projects. SE got the most. The allocation monetarily can't be equal to other regions due to a smaller land mass. We're about to get the 2nd Niger bridge. you need formatting I am sure. |

onomeasike: It's still a budget proposal. However, you're standing logic on the head if on one hand iPod are threatening to cause mayhem, people like the op kept quiet, and you expect government to waste scarce resources on development when the most apparent need is security to contain any act of war against the state. As far as you can see, the money that should have gone to SE has been used to beef up security in the region.until sanity is restored in that region, there can never be any meaningful development. is there any security problem in SE and what happend to North east? |

Atk1nson: Rubbish talk. I am yet to meet a teller who hasnot had cash shortage in his/her career, it has nothing to do with the above virtues, it's the human element most cash shortages comes as a result of your manager or other staff collecting money from you during working hours, and you forgot to collect the cash b4 balancing..some of the staffs may forget though....I suggest you open a book to write down such illegal transactions as refusing to give them may give a wrong picture of you |

Banks don't understand the word "you are unable to balance"its even better he pays with his money and do a proper call over letter instead of escalating..he must have performed a wrong transaction somewhere...once u lost money in the bank, you are a thief..he may eventually be sacked after the investigation though I pray let him get only warning letter.. In nigeria banks anyone is a thief,he could have cleard it,find the wrong transaction leta and correct it......... |

Scholes007: According to a press statement from the governor's office the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has formally directed that the appellations; His Excellency and Executive, be dropped in all official and informal communication with him. He would rather prefer to be addressed simply as Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, Governor of Abia State. The Governor wants all public communication to be concentrated on the work and policies of the state and not on the person of the Governor and has therefore directed all contractors, political groups, individuals and party loyalists not to put his portrait on billboards, posters and signages but to only use the pictures of ongoing projects in their billboards and posters. The Governor has also directed the general public to remove all congratulatory posters and election billboards littering the environment as these public posters are defacing the environment of the state. He has further charged the people of the State to be partners with Government in ensuring a healthy and beautiful environment. He is also, by this directive, re-assuring the good people of Abia State of his mission of service to the people and therefore urged the citizenry to key into the new vision Signed: Godwin Adindu Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
