Firstly, which flight to Canada is less than a million Naira. Secondly, what province in Canada offers a 150k monthly rent for a shared apartment. 150k naira is not even up to 155 cad. I would love to know maybe I’m also searching at the wrong places.

My question was based on your timeline and had nothing to with your approval . I am not sure why you would think that.

Application submitted on 28th April, approved on 20th May 2026. It was added recently. I am just sharing the official guidelines and my experience to help others.

You’re not getting my question. My question will I be able to still use the visa on the old passport while iim with the new passport? Would I be able to still go in and out of South Africa with that visa on the old passport since it’s only expiring in December 2024?

Please be aware that a "VISA" serves as evidence of your legal stay in any country. However, one challenge that arises with an expired passport is that most visa applications require a specific validity period, which I assume applies to the Canadian visa application (please conduct further research on this matter).

Now, the question is how urgently you require your passport. I am aware that passport processing in South Africa can be time-consuming. If you can afford to wait, I would recommend getting your passport renewed here in South Africa.

While you can still travel in and out of the country with a valid permit, it's important to note that having an expired passport may lead to complications with both South African and Nigerian immigration authorities, as a valid passport is typically required.

I need assistance from people based here in South Africa. I have a valid study permit until December 2024 . However my international passport is expiring next month and I am applying for for a new one . I would be using the new passport to apply for a Canada visa. Can I still use the permit to show I’m legal here in South Africa even though it’s on the old passport or do I need to travel back home to apply.

I have a bachelor in law and currently undergoing a masters in law in South Africa. I would love to relocate to Canada by January. I applied for the graduate certificate project management course for January start and still waiting feedback however now I’m been discouraged thst there is possibility of me not getting a visa even if I get the admission as there’s no reason for me to do a post graduate certificate after dong a masters. But I have a short training certificate on business analysis and would actually like to tour the project management route. Good day everyone. Who knows how many days it takes for me to receive my passport once it’s with the courier. I withdrew my passport from the Abuja embassy after so long and was messaged on Friday it’s been dispatched to the courier. Location is Lagos.

You have to wait to recieve your passport to know that . You should probably be contacted tomorrow. How long did processing take from submission till now!

Are you sure you heard her right ? Police report or probably she said police stamp for the invitee document you submitted ?

So I submitted my credentials today, on getting to the counter and after a review on my document the woman said I have two document which is not included. Invitee statement of account and also a police report from S.A . So I asked her if there is anything she can do to help me ,she said I only have two option which is either I reschedule or I go ahead and submitted. Mehn I was like after flying to Abuja all cus of this then I have to reschedule .No I don’t think that will be possible so I went ahead and submitted my Application. My question is that is there a way I can forward the needed document to them as additional compelling document . Kindly help out and also is there anyone who have gotten visa without complete document before .
