afrodoc2: Jam body and cause penalties? I said it like 2 years ago, Rojo is not good enough. He lacks the pace and skill to be a top LB, he lacks the height, aerial ability and composure to be a top CB......he is purely squad player quality at a club with our aspirations
I remember people were defending him here then also. Players like Blind,Mata,Rojo and Herrera are not good enough to be starters at United. I was referring to the aerial balls into the box. That's how West Ham really hurt UTD. Rojo instead of Blind at CB may have been slightly better at battling them... and it is not like a sub would have been needed to effect that change - just swap the two players and see if it works! |

adeyemi2015: same thing as a LB tonight! He couldn't make just a successful cross through out the 90mins! Diademk07: Rojo was awful in the centreback role at the weekend. The issue here was the West Ham crosses. Blind in the center was a just a disaster. Rojo + Smalling may have been slightly better to compete with them aerially. |

It is an intriguing argument... Manager vs Players. In the end, nothing beats a 'correct' manager that has the full backing of everyone in everything he or she does.
Rafa vs Zidane shouldn't be yarns na. One is just permanently disliked for God knows whatever reason - but that should not put his talent in question na. Zidane still be rookie, dem go definitely sit am local wen e jam! |

tboynaija: I actually did not see him celebrating any of his goals against Southampton, the dude already have the culture of dedicating all his goals to his God and he normally does that by kneeling down and pointing to the Sky, sometimes he also add the sign of the cross to it. He is just appreciating God for the goals and it is not a crime to do that even if Manchester City is 12 goals down. Thank you. I wonder what folks are yapping about. He does the same routine, no matter if the goal is a crucial or not. The naysayers here only see it when City are losing. If it is not that, then they will say he doesn't acknowledge the 'assistant' of the goal. It is just sad to see! |
Sports › Re: No ManCity Player Celebrated Iheanacho Goal Against Southampton. Why? by RuuDie(m): 6:39am On May 02, 2016 |
deeplow: I have seen that happen a couple of times. Truth be told, he has to learn quick. There are some goals you just dont waste time celebrating. Your team is a goal or 2 down, you score, and start heading towards the corner flag to celebrate... thats immature.
The normal thing is to grab the ball and run towards the centre circle, your teammates will shake hands with you and the match resumes, no time wasting.
Against Crystal Palace, away, when he scored the winning goal in the dying minutes of the game, they all rallied round him and celebrated. If you've really seen it a couple of times like you claim then you will truly understand why the OP created this thread. There has been games where this lad has scored crucial goals and was totally overlooked... And I honestly did not see any time-wasting in his celebrations - it certainly wasn't "Adebayor-ish". I am no conspiracy theorist and don't buy into the racist angle either - but I sincerely feel and agree with with the argument that some of the players in the City side do not like him for whatever reason! Anyway, he should just keep his head down, continue banging in the goals and he will surely go far in his career!! By the way, I watch my games on NBC and the analysts / commentators there have nothing but high praise for Kelechi |

Nihilist: Iheanacho is ahead of bony on the pecking order, but that's only because bony is so crap. If you stick your neck out and say he is better than Aguero, your head will be cut off faster than Nepa cuts off bill defaulters.
Iheanacho today didn't do much at all. It would have been more difficult to actually miss the goals he scored today sef. He misplaced a lot of passes and ran into cul de sacs too easily.
I don't want to take anything away from him cos I was actually cheering him today, BUT, in terms of focus, Rashford is bearing the main goal scoring burden at the thr biggest club in the UK, and one of the biggest in the world....and doing it admirably well.
Depay can't see shirt because of Rashford. Martial is now peminently on the left because of him. Mata is on the bench because of him. That's roughly around 100 million pounds of talent that he has single-handedly sidelined.
Mehn I shouldn't be defending a manure player na?
RuuDie come correct abeg Will Rashford make first team in City? Better still in your Chelsea, even as they are fumbling... I am coming correct! And stop this crap about carrying the team on his back!!! |

chrisley024: Rashford has done better when you look at the number of goals scored and the chances both teams create in games. Guy. Am not asking who has done better. Neither am I looking at the stats. This has nothing to do with sentiment. Rashford no near Iheanacho level. I can even stick my neck out and say Iheanacho is better than Aguero and Bony... a bolder manager and those two would surely sit out games for Iheanacho! |
