Summarize this crap. Adani will invest in kenya We are looking for more of such.
Obiano13: You have no clue anything in the Kenyan case. Adani wants to take over an already operating and highly profitable airport with the promise of expanding it. The fact that you group Adani/China with Korean companies tells me you are very shallow. Koreans operate above board. Their overseas investments are upfront. They are doing a university at Konza City with zero issues. The Chinese give you loans but they dont follow all laid down procedures, eg they give you a loan and the assurance from you is that the contract will be awarded to a chinese company - no competitive bidding. In many cases Chinese terms albeit laced with corruption can be agreeable least because they build brand new infrastructure on empty land with their money, all you have to do is wait for them to finish and start enjoying their worldclass infrastructure as you pay through the nose.
Now coming to Adani, Adani gives you ZERO loans, they bring no money but want to take over your critical assets and revenues and since they know that what they do is illegal and against the law, they bribe all government functionaries heftily, if they can they will even bribe even the courts. In the Kenyan case they could not bribe the courts so their deal was quashed. JKIA/KAA makes up to 20 B Kshs a year, more than enough to give itself an upgrade of its choice without external input. Adani wants unfettered access to all of the airport’s cash flows - predictably - and this is where Ruto - the professor of grand larceny- comes in because he is eyeing the money the airport makes.
Ordinarily, the project operator should only have access to cash flows generated by the new project – i.e whatever the hell Adani claims they want to build. They should not be collecting money from an asset/investment that they found operating. Its actually robbery without violence. You can imagine if I found you operating your business and told you I will take it over from you fully, give you nothing in return at the moment of taking it over, use the business's profits to expand it (this is profits you were already making but I somehow assume you dont know how to spend it to expand), operate and eat the profit for 30 years and all this time you cannot eat a penny from even your initially existing business. And after that I will own 18 % for eternity. Only idiots dont see an issue with that.
The proposal also showed that the proposed renovation of the existing terminal buildings was to be financed from money generated from the airport’s existing operations. Let that sink in. Adani is simply taking over JKIA as operators while the existing JKIA builds itself anew through the revenue it makes annually. Remember what I just told you up there, that JKIA makes enough money to expand itself. The renovations should therefore be undertaken by Kenya Airports Authority! On top of that they want a tax holiday of up to 10 years! Are you hearing this madness? Only monkeys like Ruto think this is a fair deal. But he is not a monkey he knows what exactly he is doing. The unsophisticated thief is using Adani to make JKIA and other profitable national assets his personal wealth with Adani as the front. These are the same idiots who gave him a free luxury jet ride to fly to the US before the finance bill - we later learned. We live in Kenya my friend, someone who lives in India would have zero clues whats going on here. Immediately these idiots took office they started switching off power countrywide to justify the need for an ''investor'', who also happens to be Adani. They then started switching off power at the main airport and refusing to power the standby generators - again this was meant to justify to Kenyans the need to sell the airport to who Adani ofcourse! The healthcare sector has been utterly torn to shreds to justify, ONCE AGAIN, the need for ''foreign'' investors to invest in the national insurance system ,,, to who again?? Adani!!!
Everything Ruto found working has been or is in the process of being destroyed systematically to justify the need for one man in India to come in and SAVE it. Calm down dude. We are not idiots like Ruto and his bunch of Indian coolies thinks. I warned Kenyans against electing someone with the moral values of a feral feline. You can now see how you can impoverish yourselves in a single presidency through imbecilic choices. I also need to tell you that in Kenya we learned the hard way that if you wait too long, you will not be in a position to save your country later because 1) there will be no country to save , 2) you will be too pre-occupied with manufactured problems to save yourself e.g constantly no power, deplorable healthcare system, failed education system, biting poverty etc. 3) the people who impoverish you will never exit the system, they will always be in power pretending to be busy trying to help you but its all a charade, they actually know what they did and need it to remain that way atleast untill they die.
As a Nigerian living in India, you can consider what we are doing to be noise but we actually know why we are doing all that we are doing to send this garbage government home as soon as possible. I'm well aware in Nigeria it is not your forte to bother with the govt, most likely because you gave up a long time ago because you ignored telltale signs of state capture and now even powering a single light bulb at home is rocket science. Dangote, a product of state capture, spent billions to build a refinery only to realize that the oil barons in Nigeria are more powerful than the drug cartels in Colombia. Please dude, let us fix this mess without undue influence from people we know from evidence are totally incapable as a country of taking destiny in their own hands.
The IMF’s World Economic Outlook as reported by Bloomberg, estimated the country’s gross domestic product at $253 billion based on current prices this year, behind North African powerhouses Algeria at $267 billion, Egypt at $348 billion, and South Africa at $373 billion.
vaxx: Ghana is for conscious black people. I mean people who wanted to reconnect with their ancestoral land and not some kind of wannabe lifestyle found in East Africa .
If you travel to Africa , you should be able to feel the likeness of Africa and not some kind of nation that really do not understand their self. ( They don't even know if it is india, British or is it their real self kukuyu or tukana..
Same Babu Owino thugs. Silent Majority are not violent. You cant be violent if youre the majority.
Obiano13: Even Uhuru claimed to have the silent majority to the last minute. It exists nowhere in the country. The Governor of Nairobi has just almost been killed by angry citizens few mins ago.
Sakaja being chased away from Toi market. I’m glad they’ve given this corrupt spineless soy boy what he deserves. pic.twitter.com/RqaeMHwho7
2027 you'll see Ruto return back to power and you'll know silent majority are mature for kids like you games.
There is no need to use bullets on kids on the street.
We have plentiful tear gases.
Obiano13: RIP, you are always frothing. For the record I have never advocated a military takeover. That's not even a culture we have over here. That question was posed to the Nigerians. Why are you catching feelings like a small toddler. You are the lose nut considering you're just about the only one remaining still supporting the Butcher of Sugoi. How is what you wrote even a rebuttal of what I said!? You think the police will stop an idea whose time has come so that your man can continue looting. They don't even have enough bullets to kill half the youth in this country. And they are welcome to try.
He is also an indomine Generation of Kenya; You see them cheering Putin and his Sahel military take over. They want to drive the country to anarchy without any plan. And once they hit the corner - they ask the military to take over. They dont know what the hell that even mean. Lose nuts.
Winneepye: These set of Nigerians are known as the INDOMINE GENERATION. They never witnessed the military rule or the civil war. They wish to experience it.
You have a lose nut. You cannot 'speed' the country reforms and progress - it's not instant coffee. You'll end up like you - lose nut or dead by police or lifetime injury.
Obiano13: This is what I'm talking about. The leaders leading Africa for all these years are diseased with corruption and lack of integrity. In the ongoing CS nomination saga, Ruto appoints a former governor who has a pending corruption case involving over 1 B Kshs. Nothing unusual about this move tbh. Ruto was expected to appoint the worst crooks given his forever dalliance with mediocrity. Since the constitution of Kenya mandates that no one with a graft case should serve in public office, the cabal springs into action to scatter the constitutional requirement. They force the public prosecutor to drop the case from court so that the appointee can sail through. However, EACC, the anti-corruption czar in Kenya refuses to acknowledge the prosecutor's dropping of this case because it was made after the CS had already been nominated, which is obviously sinister and aimed at serving the interests of a few people at the behest of 50 million people. Due to bad advise or no advise at all, Ruto and co belatedly force the prosecutor to backdate the dropping of the case to before the CS nominations. You see, if you surround yourself with mediocrity it follows you everywhere. If Ruto had surrounded himself with smart people they would have foreseen this drama to pinpoint perfection and forced the prosecutor to drop the case before Ruto nominated the former governor. He even delayed the nomination of CSs for a lengthy period, we all thought he was coming up with a jaw-dropping list of technocrats. Unfortunately for Ruto and his lapdog, EACC is the only Constitutional body that certifies whether one qualifies under Chapter 6 on the integrity of public officers to take up public office. This specific chapter is not about criminal conviction but either ongoing investigations or public perception. You don't even have to be guilty, just the mere perception in the public domain that you are corrupt is enough to disqualify you from holding public office. What Ruto is currently engaged in is mental gymnastics and then the court will rule the nomination NULL AND VOID AB INITIO according to the constitution! Needless to say, WE THE PEOPLE will fight to the last man any attempts at putting in office plunderers of public resources. In Kenya we say the govt cannot kill us all. Thats the spirit, which actually is the only way of staying free from tyrants. We will play this game to its logical conclusion and still send the despot home when the time comes.
Court of Appeal cannot define new standard of Public Participation and apply retro-actively. Supreme court will set this aside. In the future - there is no problem with more meaningful public participation. Definitely, we cannot do public participation once the bill is on the 3rd reading - otherwise parliament cannot amend provision on floor of the house.
Obiano13: Since parliament avoided its oversight job and became an appendage of the executive, it has fallen to the Judiciary to reject the products of that illicit union.
You write lots of nonsense it hard to keep track ICT is doing their work Ministry of Education theirs. Finance...Court of Appeal is not the Supreme court of Kenya...therefore hold your horse. Gok won in high court. Lost in COA.
In any case new CF of first business is to return Finance Act of 2024
Ruto will remain president until 2032. And as president his powers are well defined.
So prepare for a very long bitterness.
Obiano13: Why would a sensible govt prioritize Wifi hotspots over building and equipping classrooms in far flung areas like Turkana or Wajir?
Wajir residents have issued a stern warning to MCAs against approving the contentious County Finance Bill 2024, threatening serious consequences for those who fail to side with the people. pic.twitter.com/rqPkg51ivH
Ruto took a loan of 52 B to install 25,000 hotspots that no one asked for and that dont even work. This is a criminal enterprise. In reality most of the money was stolen. You create a problem that doesn't exist and borrow loans to solve it while ignoring real problems just so that you can loot.
''But a spot check by the Nation at the three public WiFi spots revealed an inefficient and poor service, hence the public have not gotten value from the installation of the facility. A trader at Kitale Bus Park, Mark Keya said the WiFi service is inconsistent and has very poor connectivity''
In other news the appeals court has nullified last year's finance bill. Since Ruto took office he has no finance Act to his name like an impotent man. The tenor and effect is that there's no current Act to govern taxation and other issues aside from what Uhuru left in Finance Act 2022. The judiciary keeps teaching this incompetent cult lord a masterclass. Respect the constitution OR PERISH! His only option now is to fight corruption since avenues for extra taxation have been firmly shut. Attempts at taxing citizens senselessly while refusing to stop himself, his chronies, and govt from wanton looting have been thwarted. The crook is fully cornered. If this was a functioning democracy, after all that has happened by now which amount to a vote of no confidence he should have resigned. But watch him try to dig in and hang on to power because African tyrants like him think power is their personal property.
The push for recall continues.
Nairobi Resident: My MP John Makali has only spoken in Parliament twice since he was elected, he spoke in 2023 when he was voting for the Finance Bill by saying YES and he waited for 2024 to say YES again and that is why I will be in the frontline of collecting signatures to send… pic.twitter.com/K7SPyy30HC
The few polls I can get show Ruto is still very popular Bar the joker of Omtatah People have low opinion of Kalonzo and Raila So low even at Ruto worse - they are not an option
I do realize you're insane. Did you ever expect Ruto to become president. Kenyans are sober. Ruto will win 2027 win huge margin\ What is option - your old babu will be senile - Kalonzo is feckless - who? Omtatah? Matiangi?
Obiano13: You do realize by now even if Ruto ran against a dog the dog would win the election?
I can also say youre idiotic and unpatriotic but first Who are you supporting? Why would I not support Ruto? What wrong has Ruto done? Except try to recover the economy from a mess that Uhuru left.
Again get us your candidate - we go to the field - and let see.
People vote what is available; Trump and Biden; not best of American; Neither is Harris.
But fate has given us them; Same with Ruto, Kalonzo, etc.
Kenya will soberly analyse the candidates and vote
NairobiWalker: You're an idiot and unpatriotic if you still support Ruto.
Azimio nutcase. You wrote lots of nonsense. We had azimio protest - you eventually smelled the coffee and gave up Goon Z protest are slow punctured. Ruto will be president tomorrow And until you have strong candidate to beat him Who is that candidate. Concentrate there.
The last time gov of kenya gave in to goons was when Kalenjin warrior SHUT DOWN completely kenya for 3 weeks. They cut all the roads - burnt almost all chief - and police couldnt move - but got stuck in police stations which turned into IDP camps 1,000 deaths plus and 600,000 evicted people.
That is what gave us new constitution, devolution and free & fair election.
Goon Z what will be your achievement 3 months from now . NOTHING. Ruto has return back the cabinet. New finance bill that raises revenues will be passed.
Obiano13: You actually believe the MPigs will seat in parliament and successfully vet those old rags as Kenyans watch? That parliament will be invaded again and this time the entire govt will be swept to Siberia. Before you start yapping brainlessly (and very typically Rutoistically) that the old CSs will not need to be vetted, according to the CoK 2010, CSs appointed to office must receive approval from the National Assembly as stipulated in Article 132 (2) (a). This requirement ensures that all appointments are subject to legislative oversight and are not unilateral decisions by the executive branch. If an appointment bypasses this approval process, it is considered null and void ab initio. CoK 2010 does not provide for the re-appointment of dismissed CSs, reinforcing the importance of proper legislative procedures in such appointments.
The Kind of Civic Education that is happening on Tiktok on a daily basis is Mind-blowing to say the least......2027 is going to be interesting.... pic.twitter.com/pThi5JMQGc
The lame duck is just adding to his never-ending streak of self-inflicted losses both on the political front and in the judiciary. I told you this will be a multi-round boxing match and he will be floored on each one! So far he has won nothing!!
By now only a fool or someone suffering extreme levels of denial thinks MPs matter. They are as useless as a chocolate teapot - done and dusted, until a new set is elected. They betrayed the trust of Kenyans in unforgivable ways. This is actually a direct result of Ruto's false sense of mastership and entitlement when he bought opposition MPs using money to emasculate all opposition and leave him free to loot and defile the constitution. He pushed too far. Over half of the old CSs he fired were not even fit to serve if he had adhered to the constitution. The MPigs rubber-stamped all of them despite being warned.
They cant do anything now, AT ALL!!. They are that useless. The only thing they are slowly trying to do is to win their constituents back but it doesn't seem like anyone is ready to forgive them. He can have all MPs in the country, including all of Raila's but still be a toothless dog. Fyi, Raila, that old confused geezer, jumped ship. He has sensed whats coming. Ruto is all alone now vs THE PEOPLE (55 Million strong). Even Baba wouldn't have saved him. Zakayo has no pocket of support anywhere in the country. Whichever political moves he pulls will be inconsequential self-aggrandizement. At this moment he is seating on a powder keg ready to blow him to pieces. We will be here to witness the spectacular downfall. He had another chance to redeem himself with a fresh face of CSs but chose to show us the middle finger, just like he did with the finance bill. Whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad. Watch him try to force back those old rags and the dire repercussions he will face.
You have a lot of faith. No mp will want to be in bad books with GOK 3yrs to election. They dont want to miss tenders, roads, projects. And if Ruto get ODM - his majority move from 220 to 300. Right now he comfortably has almost all Mps.
Goon Z will achieve very little - timing couldnt be terrible. Infact Constitution will be ammended in parliament when ODM are onboarded.
Ruto has 3yrs.
Obiano13: None of the old faces will be approved. Just wait and see. Zakayo is playing with fire. We dont care about his heart. He is not the constitution. The constitution has stipulations for who can be appointed but he is afraid of letting go of the only people giving him some sort of power to hang on. Ruto's plan is to fool his friends that he trusts them but once the people hit the streets he will swiftly drop them and tell them,,,,you see, its not me but the people who dont want you.
What have achieved so far - is nothing. Ruto is returning almost all key members of cabinet. Change will not come from streets - but will come from political will of leadership. Ruto must do it from his heart. You can make him see sense otherwise it usual fake changes.
What we need to focus is JUDICIARY. Nobody dies in streets, no destruction, no chasing tourist, fdi. And you achieve something that is written in LAW and secured.
Obiano13: Something has to give. If one day you make an inch of progress by presenting peaceful petitions to Aso Rock I will pay you special homage. That cannot work in Africa. The politicians will be more than happy to have such protests every day and change nothing. The so-called leaders will be compromised by govt and paid to calm you down. You might as well be one of them from the way you go about things here. In Kenya we tried raising voices for two years protesting bad governance and budgeted corruption but a protest that took less than a month addressed all those concerns. The govt is now in the middle of painstakingly addressing the concerns that one month ago they would never even have imagined bothering. Ofcourse its not easy and they are trying every delay tactic and gimmicks but the prospect of being overwhelmed by nationwide protests is scaring them. You stick to that nonsense of talks with leaders who dont give one s.hit about you and see where it gets you.
Rant on but Ruto has 5yr mandate n has no competition in 2027 that can take him down. The best is useless kalonzo
Obiano13: Sikio la kufa haliskii dawa. Till now you still think IMF is the central issue. It was just a trigger. By now you should understand that Ruto is a lame duck president waiting for his time to come. He knows as well as everyone that the rot in his govt is what the people want changed COMPLETELY. No half measures! And that includes the head of the fish, Ruto himself. Untill he does what the people are saying he is just expending energy uselessly. People want all senior govt officials' salaries chopped by over 50 % not by word of mouth but in reality. People want all MPs gone, esp those who voted for the oppressive bill. Some of the demanded changes MAY require referendum. NG-CDF, number of governors, senators, women reps and their salaries etc. People are demanding accountability not as a matter of necessity but urgency. Keep fixating on IMF to run away from the reality staring you in the face. The MPigs gathered like wolves to pass a bill to oppress the people the same way they have always gathered to raise their salaries, now is the era of aura for aura. The people have to fix the system. People will push this entire political establishment to oblivion unless they change with the times and fulfill ALL the demands. The MPs to this day cannot dare mention the president's name in their constituencies and you think somehow people are just fools to let Ruto get away with this and return to normalcy? Aint gonna happen. People are more than happy to keep life hell for ALL politicians, including the so-called opposition, untill such a time when IEBC will be ready and an election can be held. The entire slate will be wiped clean. By the time we have a new dispensation, MPs will be earning the same salaries as doctors with meagre allowances. Every coin that is spent by govt will be accounted for, even if it entails having blockchain systems in place for all govt transactions. You dont understand what it means dealing with 30-40 million youth who have all the time in the world to waste and zero tolerance to BS. Ruto is the one without time. The sooner he smells the coffee the better. The inflation you're celebrating now is only down due to IMF dollars. Because Ruto spent the first 20 months in office recovering campaign monies and enriching his close circle of tribal cabal. The economy was TANKING by the time he ran to IMF all because looting was nearing Mobutu levels. A Ksh that was at 120 by the time Uhuru left was at 160. Ruto is beholden to IMF only because he thought the country had limitless resources to loot and fill the bottomless pockets of akina Murkomen. Now you idiots expect us to congratulate him for taking a shilling that was at 120 by the time he took office to 130 from an all-time low he orchestrated of 160. Why would he bribe MPs 2 M bob to vote for the bill and kill those who oppose the bill? Because he loves us too much heh? We are not fools and he isnt nearly as smart as he thinks or his apologists trying to make him. That IMF bill was meant to cover his sins/loonatic theft and open more doors for looting because IMF money cannot be accounted for and IMF likes it that way so that they can keep profiting off the sweat of Africans who remain in abject poverty trying to repay looted monies that never increased productivity in the country. We are not fools my friend. The sooner Ruto realizes this the better, and the public rebellion wont cease untill he goes. I frankly cant see him surviving this one. Even those IDs and passports that the govt no longer issues due to the rot at Nyayo house he will issue them by force and fire so that all the youth kick him out. He wont believe. This generation will force him to do everything that is needed to send him and his ilk home. You guys arent even ashamed of returning us back to the Moi era when getting an ID or passport had to be a struggle and you'd have to pay a bribe for every goddamn service! Kenyans have cried day and night to be issued with IDs and no one cares unless you pay a bribe. Listen, RIP, I know we are in the post -tribal-ism era and Gen Zs might kill me for this but I have always said as a Luo that if Kenya has to be led by a Kikuyu or Kalenjin, it better be a Kikuyu every time. The Kikuyu will steal from you, invest the money locally, build infrastructure, but still ensure every govt service is working efficiently, business is thriving, and wont flaunt the stolen wealth. Compare that to your people who will steal from you, take all the money abroad, build nothing, make sure you cant get even basic govt services, destroy business and industry, flaunt the wealth stolen from you and vomit on your shoes, and when you raise a voice step on your head and smash it. Thats the reality, but I am glad the Gen Zs have shown us that we dont have to settle for mediocrity when we have the actual power if we are united tribeless. We want a fresh start where all the rules will be dictated by the citizens. The executive cannot continue setting the rules that favor only them. The MPigs, all of those fools will go home. None of them will return. Every CS appointed will have to be as clean as a whistle. That is the bare minimum. Ruto cannot and should not even dream of appointing his chronies and corrupted humanoids. Even from Raila's camp. That is ofcourse if he wants to last till 2027. One wrong move and he will not survive. The best thing this revolution has achieved is that Kenyans finally managed to banish politicians from the top of society. They're no longer admired for their wealth and Kenyans are actually disgusted by them. This is the real weapon that will finish the grand corruption problem
Silly these offices n budgets were inherited from previous regime
Obiano13: Fixing the rotten system one department at a time. You can imagine a whole president and his deputy creating offices for their spouses and funding those offices, which exist nowhere in the constitution, to the tune of 1.25 Billion Kshs or about 15 Billion Naira every year. Yet the president and his deputy each has an office and an official residence each separately funded to the tune of billions. Anyone who does this is a diabolical maniac that deserves to retire. We have never hit these lows previously where the president is always looking for a loophole to steal public resources. This kind of depraved mentality is very hard to explain even from an evolutionary perspective. These are people who endlessly portrayed themselves as the most saved people in Kenya. And they wonder why the youth no longer give a piss about religion. The entire rotten political filth will be done away with.
Kenya was/is at the end of debt crisis. Gok has to figure out how to keep the momentum It has aggressively been collecting 200-300B more than what previous gov did (50B) on annual basis. Definitely the public seem to be saying we have reach our elastic limit on funding gov. The defaulting option is terribe.
Therefore Gov just need to raise taxes - I see the fuel levy for road maintenance is up - great job
Otherwise all indicators are looking great.
We navigate this financial year and we should be out of danger.
Uhuru invited IMF in 2020 and Ruto has continued with them. IMF/WEST like Ruto because he has made very tough unpopular reforms. The painful reforms were important to treat the debt crisis. No politician want to be unpopular. It was question of declaring bankruptcy like Ghana or Zambia - or hiking taxes to max limit. Kenya has reached that max limit - and we need prayers not to default. Moody has downgraded us to Caaa. Ghana took 10 months from Caaa to declare bankruptcy. IMF have now refused to sign on the last phase of their program.
We absolutely need IMF for another year - and we need to raise revenues - or we go default.
Ruto will be upto the task because he is very smart. He might have to bring the ODM skunks though.
Obiano13: The IMF rewards crooks like Ruto. The moment you hear that your prez is working with IMF just know he is a mega thief.
Cowdung from Azimio supporters in an international forum. Ruto inherited a sunk that was going bankrupt. It's a miracle Ruto has not defaulted on debt. Ruto has done incredibly well to pay off Eurobond 2014 and clear the debt crisis almost - before the current mess started. The economy grew at 5.7% - higher than anything bar 2021 COVID recovery - since 2018. All Africa and frontier markets had their currency & equity markets nicked out the last two years. Kenya KES is now the best performing - almost fully recovering - from near 160 to now 128. Ruto has managed to tame inflation to 4.6%. Nobody in current protest is shouting HUNGER HUNGER - because fertilizer subsidy saw maize production increase from 30m bags to 47M bags.Maize imports from UG and TZ are drying up. Most of you are in forums because you want to see roads, bridges, railways and development - those will come later. Right now Ruto gov is setting legal foundation for it's priority areas. SHIF is off ground though court has put the spanner - once we nail Social health insurance - from NHIF mess - the country will fix health care. Housing levy legal battles are over - tender for houses are out - soon GOV will be build 250K houses in addition to all that.
In every regime - the first one or two years is for setting legal framework.
Ruto was in Uhuru gov and was engine behind the roads & electricity.
1st two years of 2014/2015 - was on setting legal framework for low seal roads and for last mile electricity access.
Then the actions start on the ground and morons like you who need to see things to believe - will now come here and share pictures.
Ruto has small bump now - like in 2014 when terrorism attacked west gate - and need to figure out a way forward.
Gov revenues have grown at double digit the last two years - from 2trillion - we are now doing 2.6 trillion and more when you add non-ordinary revenues. The digitization of more than 15,000 gov services has grown revenues.
Ruto just need to figure out how to keep raising revenues otherwise kenya is on solid ground - and the development will soon start to show.
Of course Azimio nutcases will now claim its Raila who has brought development - because Ruto has to bring the ODM/Opposition thugs to gov to stop goons.
Wuoche: Hello to all Nairalanders. I’m back but not to actively participate in defending my dear country, but to cry and whip for my bleeding country.
As you can all remember I used to actively engage here because I was confident I had supporting evidences behind me. I could proudly brag about infrastructure projects going on in Kenya because in reality they were there and many more were still being constructed by the Uhuru regime. Industries were coming up in every corner, big hospitals were being constructed. Investors were running to come and set up their businesses in Kenya. I was really proud of my country and I had a great hope of Kenya moving forward. At one point most Kenyans had a dream of Kenya moving to higher moving to higher middle income status before expected time, we even dreamed of surpassing Morocco GDP wise but guess what? It’s Kenya that has been surpassed by Ethiopia and Sudan. In terms of GDP Kenya has been relegated to position 8 in Africa and with this Government I foresee Tanzania passing Kenya before 2028.
During election time Kenyans in Nairaland were divided into two; Pro Ruto and Anti Ruto. I was against Ruto’s Presidency cause they guy had no any leadership truck record around his waist, he isn’t development oriented and he surrounded himself with clowns. Unlucky for the Anti-Ruto team, he anyhow managed to win with a small margin. His victory wasn’t celebrated as hard as previous victors celebrated their victory. The country was in somber mood except for few sycophants who didn’t fear for future. Even those who voted for him did so because of they gave him benefit of doubt, they weren’t fully convinced by the person they elected. Others elected him not because of his manifesto or philosophies but because they really hated the other better candidate.
The first red flag of his reign was the kind of people he appointed to head several ministries and parastatals. The appointees were so incompetent to a point the opposition party decided to approve the entire cabinet claiming that if they start to pin down the appointees 60% of them will fail to pass the approval. Now that’s the caliber of person we are calling the President. For me I usually know that when you become victor in a hotly contested election with another half of the country not voting, first thing to do is to earn trust of the 2/3 voting population that didn’t believe in you. How do you do this? Is by doing what’s right, appoint competent government (ministers, security organs etc).
We are major risk of default. Moody has dropped our rating to Caaa. IMF has refused to sign on the program. We are in danger but Ruto now has a clean slate to re-start.
gallivant: Interesting times. The debts are still incurring interest. There is no victory here.
