the chosen one: www.nairaland.com/1518145/juju-islamI have commented on the thread, let me see what happens next. @op I really don't get what you guys are talking about, but I have created a thread in Islam section, and Mactunji even commented on it. I just wanted to know why a ram should cost between 150 and 200k which is more than the amount of a cow. |
Lol! I came here to comment on this thread and lo and behold I saw Mactunji viewing the thread. No wonder no one has commented since morning. Anyway, I don't know what you mean by juju and islam, but I know that some muslims mix traditional religious practises with islam. I see lots of them in the North. It is not difficult to see a group of people gathered around a Northern Muslim, watching what I call 'magic' being displayed. I have often wondered, but since I am not a muslim, I don't care and I don't stay to watch. The sight alone is scary. |
AtlanticBreeze: This India hemp inspired story is false. The op is a fraudster. What kind of nonsense website is this? The question is not whether they were accredited or not, but what were they doing in Owerri, instead of Awka? |
nedufantasy: And we should get something straight here.I am still confused. People are just arguing blindly. Observers and agents are different. When did APC become non-partisan? Because that is what Observers are. I now understand why the large number of armoury are being used for the elections. The era of rigging is over. Thank God for the Internet. |
Now... It has been confirmed that those guys were from Osun state. They were paid some money.. They were recruited, it is not as if they were part of any organisation. But the Op did not tell us who did the recruitment, was it a party or an N. G. O. |
Okay |
bret hart: nickelback.... .if everyone cared ![]() Nairaland's Word censor don tire me oooo. |
Illuminatus: No it isn't cos you don't like Rihanna. It's just a bad song. ![]() |
Whether this is witch hunting or not, we should not lose sight of the sum in question. How much is Jigawa worth that someone would embezzle such amount of money. If only Boko Haram and Co can get their acts together and start targeting corrupt politicians. How can someone take what belongs to everyone? We should be concerned about how many politicians has been convicted and jailed since the establishment of EFCC till date. I wonder if Ibori would have been jailed if he was tried in Nigeria. The concept of plea bargaining is not ideal. If only we can get our acts together and make our leaders accountable to us and not the other way round, Nigeria would be a better place to live, grow, raise children and enjoy life. |
osinachukwu: The Commissioner of Police Imo State CP Mohammed Kastina just finished his briefing with pressmen this evening wherein he informed them that the command arrested 181 youths mostly from the southwest part of Nigeria (Unconfirmed) in a popular hotel (Disney Hotel) In Owerri Imo State Capital. If this piece of information is confirmed to be true, then my faith in Seun and his Crew has been lost completely. I am still wondering why the thread of yesterday did not make front page, and this press briefing did. There is nothing wrong if both thread are put in the front page, at least it would give readers the opportunity to read from both sides of the story. This is bad and it is a wrong precedence being set by Seun and his goons. |
bret hart: coldplay....lost'.... Just because I'm losing, doesn't mean I've lost... ' I love that song. Coldplay rocks! I also love 'in my place', 'The Scientist', 'Clocks', 'Fix You' and most of their old songs. I don't really like their recent works, especially 'Princess of China' with Rihanna: maybe because I don't like Rihanna. |
Nimen: first of all build a profile and put a pix, preferably not your pix, contact me when you're done by commenting on any of ma posts ![]() Badt guy |
It is obvious that the story does not add up. For goodness sake, why did they pass Anambra just to lodge in Imo state? I thought observers are meant to be on ground before the election in order to monitor movement of electoral materials. And why are the observers from a particular state? Is 180 not to much to observe an election? An organisation without any identity. Anyway, the truth with surely prevail. |
I am really not concerned about what some journalist writes about my country. I am more concerned about the official stand of the American Government. I read the piece twice and I really don't see the issue there, at least the writer made a snide comment on Russia, about planes falling from the sky. Anyway, the writer is entitled to her/his opinion and it is obvious she/he is writing based on sentiment and the piece is not value free. I have gotten to a stage of not caring what some stranger thinks about me and my country. |
gideon243: LOng story... i wonda how she bypassed d security(dy dnt c hr enta/lev). i wnt to drinj wat nd lft my phon in sitn room with my sis... when i got 2 d palor i meet dis woman begin my sis dat she neds wat, i wnt to get d wata my sis was "ping" she tld my sis tat she dnt ned d wata again b4 i got 2 e palor she had lft i dnt nntic in tim it was 10min l8r i noticI am sorry, but do people still type like this? Half of what you typed, I did not understand it. It is not as if you are sending an sms with a character limit. Dude, next time, type properly....it is polite. So, a pregnant woman came to your house, asked for water to drink, you left her in the sitting room with your sister, and before you came with the water, she told your sister that she is not in need of the water, all this while your sister was pinging, it was after 10 minutes before you noticed that your phone was gone.... Okay! Sorry! But you guys were really careless sha. |
Na war! For just one state ![]() First it was a 22hour curfew and now this ![]() All I want is for the best man to win the election. #Teamnotorigging |
That is a wrong precedence to set. Although, it is good to encourage the players, but it is not ideal to set them apart from the rest of the team. Don't forget that the Niger State governor rewarded the whole team, coaching crew and the accompanying NFF officials. I am totally against this act of tribalism. One for all and all for one! |
None! Nairaland is a reflection of the Nigerian state. Everything that is wrong with Nigeria is inherent in Nairaland. The 2 cannot be separated. |

Eh yah... Sorry guys! But on a serious note, I never knew Festus Iyayi was a lecturer, not to talk of a former ASUU chairman, way back in the 80's. I remember him for his book, 'Violence' which I read for NECO way back in 2005, it was the best book I read then and the story really touched me. The book was later adapted into a movie with Liz Benson as part of the cast. I hope he and others rest in the bosom of our Lord. |
lanre316: Go to net library section of your moon reader+ app, you will get tons of free ebooks. Especially from GuttenbergThanks! There are lots of books there, but it seems they are only historical. |
