Around 2003 I had a cousin who was arrested by that awkuzu SARS because they were at a joint drinking around 10pm. He spent almost 2 weeks being locked up before his father sold their parcel of land to bail him out with 2 million naira or SARS would've killed him. Few days after he was released he told me some stories about what happens in that awkuzu SARS. He said SARS would kill some people who were arrested that no one came for or no one was making any settlement arrangements for. He said SARS would shoot the person and then pour acid on the corpse to dissolve it and then ask some of them to clean it up. He said in the two weeks he spent there about 6 young guys were killed.
He said SARS would also replace a real criminal who don settle with an innocent person that got arrested for just that purpose and after a few days and no one came on your behalf then SARS would kill that person.
SARS awkuzu was barbaric.

if you don't pay tax I did. I have 3 registered and functional companies with offices in Lagos State, I wonder how I can escape payment of various taxes.

I have been to several police stations, to solve many cases for people , and I have been a victims too of robbery and breach of contracts..In all, I paid money...In my eyes I saw how police are making millions in their stations on people who have cases..
And at the end, after arm twisting people to pay , at the counter people will still pay for Bail,
Anyone who enter cell will pay for Soap, pay for water , which were not provided
In police station ,you will see BAIL IS FREE, but its never free
Even if you have a lawyer, its your lawyer who will negotiate the bail for you
All the money police make illegally get to the top, and it is hard their hierarchy change this narrative
But I believe, a day Bail is free, Police is actually reformed

even police also paid for bail for the family members at least I witness one this year, when an inspector wife who happens to be my inlaw was arrested, the husband (inspector of police) paid for her bail.

For the past 5 years government borrow every year to fund budget, next year budget is above 4 trillion Naira borrowed equivalent to 2015 budget. If anything trigger Niger delta crisis, people will suffer more and u know what that mean. Sure personally I'm not from Lagos but I reside in Lagos, I paid my taxes as when due, and I don't pay tax to my state government so every tax payers, have every right to question, complain about it handling. Lagos is in Nigeria which the constitution allow us to settle anywhere peacefully, there are lagosians in my state as well, Tinubu and all those handling the funds are settlers like me but funny enough according the court case, he is not paying taxes like me but enjoying and siphoning the fund collected. So we are right if we complain OK not for political gain but for accountability sake.
