Okay. Both of them are Okay and will last long. He should ensure he gets a good power surge to power them. I can guarantee that for Panasonic Malaysia but there are so many Panasonic China in the market. The Malaysia made is more expensive than the ones manufactured in China.

Bought a 1hp non inverter for my bedroom and it's been Cooling well for almost 6 months but recently it's been acting up, even when it's put on 16 and turbo it doesn't get the room chilled like it used to and i also noticed the fan outside run for like 10 seconds and stop for almost 5 minutes before running for 10 seconds or 15 seconds again.
Please what should be the problem?

Your unit is most likely due for service. The unit needs to be serviced by a competent AC technician

What is responsible for stealing vehicle body parts at the port during clearing? A friend who bought salvage title Mazda CX-9 experienced this after the vehicle landed Nigeria. It was after it was cleared they noticed some of the body parts missing.

Is it confirmed that Inverter ACs usually will not be able to produce the same kind of cooling effect of their counterpart non-inverter AC? I have been using a non inverter that chills very well but when I bought a brand new inverter LG, I felt right from day 1 that I wasn't getting that very chilling effect of my old non inverter so the LG said I can't compare the two. That where the inverter saves on electricity, it'll sacrifice on coldness too? Is that correct?

The carrier AC of today isn't same like those days. I will not advice to purchase. If you cannot get a Panasonic, go for an LG as against carrier.

Your Budget will determine the brand you can get. Panasonic, LG, Thermocool, Hisense, etc. But if you can afford, get an inverter AC from an authorized distributor for your peace of mind

What the Panasonic will do, the LG will also do. The Panasonic will be more expensive than LG. If i am the one in the market to procure an Inverter AC unit, i will go for the Panasonic NOT the LG.

You should consider downloading and reinstalling the Full recovery ROM.

Can't tell from the picture. Go outside to the outdoor unit, there's sticker on the body by the side where information are written on it. Snap that section and upload, I should be able to tell you the Horse power.

I'm at a crossroad guys, I'm at the AC shop, I had Midea 1.5Hp in mind, spoke with the guy b4 i got there, i had already paid and it was packed b4 they realised it was 2hp they brought out, there was no 1.5Hp on ground.

Now, he's suggesting I go for Hisense 1.5hp. I really dunno if it's a good choice.

Advise me please, do I add more money and take this 2HP Midea or I should go for the Hi sense....adding more money isn't a problem, I just feel like people prefer Midea more on this thread.

Both are brands i don't usually recommend to people making an enquiry for AC but i will suggest you go for the Hisense as against Midea anyway.

The technician tested another capacitor and it still had the same issue,then he advised I changed the compressor.

This AC has been working for around 4 years in the office, or maybe was it due to the fact that I unmounted it and transferred it to my house recently?

Did he use another overload to try and confirm first before conclusion that it's the compressor? The overload is usually on top of the compressor because sometimes, overload can cause that. But if he has checked and confirmed that overload is fine, then your compressor may be bad but you need to be very sure and ensure you are dealing with an honest technician.

Compressor can get damaged at anytime which is majorly caused by power.

My LG AC doesn't start again (it will be as if the current is too low but its not).
Before now it has been working for almost 4 years now. Last week the compressor will cool for almost 15 secs and stop and start again for 30 secs but now it wont run again.

Most likely a weak Capacitor. It is not having the strength to do what it should normally do. Let your AC technician check Capacitor and overload condition.

Several factors may be responsible. Air filter may be dirty, if filter is clean but indoor Fan isn't blowing as it should, then the indoor may not be breathing well and would require trapping of freon, removal for flush with a pressure pump or Outdoor may be dirty as well which may require cleaning or shortage Gas.

Panasonic as a Brand just have a reliable name in the AC market especially one from Malaysia. And i guess the same for the Inverter series. However, u know it's very pricey that's the reason why many people opt for other cheaper Brands. I've noticed that a lot of people are Buying Thermocool too same way as LG. Atleast u'll guaranteed of warranty for a certain period.

If you can, purchase the Panasonic if price isn't a factor or go for Thermocool.

Finally I decided to buy a brand new panasonic AC 1.5HP.
sadly, I have made a mistake by trusting a seller in Lagos. I asked him repeatedly and he insisted that it's 410A gas. On receiving it in Awka today I realised its R22 rated, am so pissed now. I called him and he said it might be R22 rated but it's gas is 410A. Can you imagine such nonsense.

Please how Ok is it to use R22 because am thinking of sending it back to Lagos. So bitter now

Nothing like "might". It's either an R22 or 410. Nothing wrong with the R22 anyway. However, as for powering it with your Sumec, i wouldn't know about that anyway.

The truth is that, if I'm in the market for any AC purchase now, i wouldn't be buying an ordinary unit. If it's not inverter, i won't buy because of the advantage of low Power consumption considering the aspect of Prepaid meters as well as an easy load on Generator with even a small capacity.

The technology on Inverter unit now have greatly improved.
