LadyGuinivere: percent honest during applications to avoid issues. As it is, you misrespresented. U lied knowingly to a direct question. 14 weeks is above the ist trimester.
k Just read this line over and over, LOL'd and i just realised that my first pregnancy i would have looked like a liar to the embassy cos i found out i was preggy at 27 weeks. Well i couldn't have us baby. Doctor refused to give me " FIT TO WALK SEF" |

ifyalways: Lol. This was his words verbatim "Unfortunately our practice is now referral based from prior patients in our database otherwise a remittance of non-refundable $300.00 applied to the physician fee upon arrival must be received before forwarding any information. Kindly provide the name of your referral source". . . .
Besides providing referral name which I don't have, the $300 and when it should be paid was confusing(I think he was simply being smart and careful). I had no more time for the going back and forth so I simply ported to El Paso. Hmmmmm the guy don learn. His eye haf clear |

The only drug i would recommend you have at home is Paracetamol.
You can have actifed, Cough syrup but they should be prescribed by a doctor before use. |

Please I will be going with my mum to usa and we are trying to apply for our visa. her brother, my uncle is based in the states. We don't think we will be visiting him while over there. Is it OK to write his name as relative based in the USA. He is a citizen so no worries about his status in the USA. |

You can be abusive all you want it will not stop me from speaking truth to power. Stop breaking the immigration laws of a sovereign country. Great talk. High FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! creating more problems for our people. Innocent people harassed cos of people who must break laws anywhere they go. This is also the Nigerian govt s fault isn't it? |

[quote author=k711 post=30792714]Hello house,
Please I'm in a dilemma. Forgive me cos my hormones have taken a better part of me. I got a visa last year june for vacation which was duly used. Tho I went to Houston instead of califonia. I was not pregnant at the time so there was no case of lying to the vo. I found out I was pregnant in september. (Pregnant with twins). The thing is I have decided to go to elpaso. All flights to elpaso are crazily expensive except United that seems cheaper. But I'm scared of Houston poe even tho I intend to pay all my bills before going. 1.Do I need to send a letter to the embassy to inform them about my intention? 2. Do u think I will still have problems at Houston poe? 3. what other airline or route can I go thru to elpaso? Biko help a sister out, I'm going crazy here plus my tummy Don big pass person we dey born triplet sef. [/quote
Have you tried emirates? |

Phema: More than 5 people have responded to your post and all of them have advised you to tell the truth, but you keep asking "what do I say if asked if I'm pregnant at the POE?". Now, let me tell you what you want to hear. . .
Biko my sister, LIE! Travel now before you start showing. Conceal it. And if they ask, tell them you're NOT pregnant. If they decide to do a physical examination, tell them the little bump you have is due to overfeeding. Atleast, no be crime to chop belleful. Let's just hope they don't decide to run a pregnancy test. Even if they do sef, say you didn't know you were preggy. Ehen naw, its very possible. . .
And please, don't forget to go through Houston or Chicago POE.
Thank me later. Yea yea, I'm nice like that. ROTFLH. I hope she will understand you. Cos i cant understand her intent to lie. She keeps trying to justify why she should lie. I wish her luck |

drafrican: An immigration lawyer is an expert on immigrant and emigrant related cases . Secondly you had the right to ask for a lawyer to explain your rights to you at the POE before deportation, which is provided for in every country,They won't refuse or they would have breached protocol. Thirdly you had the right to ask that your interview be recorded for legal purposes. Your fit to fly covers a journey of a maximum of 24 hours and not longer so you could have asked for another certification as your fit to fly is invalid and because you are pregnant you are at risk of thromboembolism. You could also have said you are feeling reduced fetal movement at which point you can't be deported because a doctor must certify your baby was not in danger, reduced fetal movement at any gestational age over 34 weeks will qualify you for an emergency c/section or at least a 3 day monitoring of you and your baby in a hospital by which time esparati would have replied. This is not to blame you but to enlighten everyone about their rights. Before she jails you, you have the right to a lawyer and it was a threat cos everything was an allegation no proof. But with our right being abused everyday in Nigeria we don't know what our rights are. Thanks for this. I ve saved it sharply |
