Wike realize his mistake and has done the right thing, now the moral thing for Omehia to do is to refund the illegal entitlement ASAP. I hate Wike, but how can I work hard to give you benefits of what you don't ordinarily deserve only to use the proceeds to fund my Enemy success. I see him going Faro Dagogo way, this I have seen.
omehia no dey refund shi shi.
Wike is a barrister, he knew that the recognition he did in 2015 was an illegal recognition. He did it to spite Amaechi.
Now, omehia is supporting Atiku, wike realized his stupidity.
Omehia never appealed to wike for any recognition.
we shall see the end of this case.

Between Omehia and Wike, who is the Elder?
Wike is a Barrister but he did an illegal act by recognizing Omehia as ex governor just to spite his cousin, Amaechi.
Now, Omehia is supporting Atiku and Nyerishi now realized that it is an illegal recognition.
Omehia never appealed to wike for any recognition, wike is power drunk.

The volte-face is not unconnected to the feud in the PDP where Omehia has taken sides with the PDP flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar who has been in a running battle with the Rivers helmsman.
Wike is so bitter about Omehia's allegiance to Atiku.

#Truthteller

Thank You Gov Nyesom Wike For The Ikwerre Employment In RSU.
---------------------------------
I just saw some list of my Ikwerre brothers employment into Rivers State University RSU. And this was purported to be a state employment.

Well, let me thank the governor again for having the balls to do what others couldn't do for their people. It was an all Ikwerre employment in a multi-ethnic state where the Ikwerre can't lay claim to being ahead of others educationally. You have broken many records for your Ikwerre people and they shall never forget you in a hurry even when you are gone.

However, the dangers of this action is the precedent Gov Nyesom Wike is putting in place today in governance, because others are watching and taking notes.

Another pitfall in what has just happened is that, he has successfully sacrificed quality education for clannish consideration and outright disregard for equity. Yet same man is crying on national television everyday about injustice. But here in the state, bricklayers and truck-pushers who should ordinarily be in the market selling kpof-kpof are been given university employment as long as they are of his tribe even though they know not how to spell jack.

The only reason why the 500 people employed were not all Ikwerrian was due to paucity of willing enrolee, and the one slot each he gave to the assembly members and his loyalist.

It is also worthy of note, that as at today, all the major higher institutions own by the state are being managed by his kinsmen, and this is no coincidence. So tell me why people won't struggle or agitate for the Governorship position to come to them irrespective of requisite capacity & skills for quality representation for such office?.

Gov Nyesom Wike has destroyed a lot of ordinances that held this state together cohesively, and many will only discover by the time he leaves office. But I pray he doesn't throw this state into ethnic rancor before he leaves office.

Congratulations to my Ikwerre brothers who made the list, and congrats also to my friends from Rumuepirikom collecting million million every year for doing nothing.
Wike just employed majority of his kinsmen from Obio Akpor LGA into RSU.

The event narrated on this thread is a sequel to one narrated here: https://www.nairaland.com/7304797/how-gambling-changed-life. Taking a step back from the concluding part of that story and just taking you through an unorganised tale of a man who found favour.

After paying off the school fee I gambled with in 200 level, I made a resolution to never gamble with my money again; a decision I've been faithful to ever since. 300 level came and I went for my industrial training. Most students in my department went to companies that aligns with our course of study, but I went to company that pays. I was paid 20k per month. God bless my then boss. He would organise overtime for me, so I can have more money. I saved in bits for 4 months and bought my official 'frustrator', a fairly used Dell laptop that threatens me more times than Buhari has ever done. You can imagine a fully charged laptop telling me it's going to shutdown in 5 minutes and it won't even allow me finish reading its popup message before actually shutting down. Chai, that laptop is the devil itself.

With my laptop, I dived head first in C programming language. I switched to learning Java after I learnt that C is not the most suitable to build the betting app I want to build. I was like 5 months OFF-ON into learning Java when I learnt about Blockchain and cryptocurrency. I did a little bit of reading and learnt the high level overview knowledge of how the whole system works. As at that time, the crypto market was on a bull run and Blockchain companies were just popping up here and there with ideas that may or may not survive the next bear market. I became a collector of crypto airdrops and I stumbled upon a blockchain startup company based in Singapore. I signed up for their airdrop and carried out the required tasks to be eligible for the airdrop. As I was about to submit, I saw a popup message requesting if I would like to join their validators, provided I am good with Java programming language. I clicked Yes and proceeded to submit my airdrop details.

After about 2 months, I was at my school library when I got an email from them, notifying me about a Java test I must pass to be able to join their validators. In my mind, I was like 'there's no way I can pass this'. All I can still build is a calculator. So I was about to pack my stuff and leave for my hostel. Then I heard a voice telling me, "Try it out. You have nothing to loose anyway". So I listened to the voice and opened my laptop again. The test is a timed, 3-level test with 3 trials per level. There is a beginner level, an intermediate level, and an advanced level. I attempted the beginner and in one try I passed because I was a beginner, of course. I proceeded to the intermediate level but I failed the first trial and the second trial. Lucky for me, I passed the second trial. I was so demoralised when I saw the first question of the advanced level. I didn't even understand what I just read. I told myself, "I'm not going to try find the right answer. I'll pick the first option I see". I only hear of such wonders; I've never being a witness to one. It was unbelievable to me when I saw a pass mark returned after my submission. I got in... a beginner programmer.

I wouldn't say much about the daily task involved in the job, so I won't expose too much information. But I read like say I wan mad to make up for my inadequate knowledge. The monthly payment was in Ethereum. At a point in time, I accumulated up to 3.7 Ethereum and traded it to a profit of 0.1 BTC. When the price of Ethereum dropped from $200 to $64, I sold 3 ethereum to get myself a HP laptop. I accumulated more ethereum from my payments but ended up loosing everything to day-trading on Binance. I lost over 2 million naira to the bear market. Covid came and killed off the company and a lot of crypto companies that sprung up in the last 4 years. Though I lost money to the crypto market, but I gained a lot from working for that company. I count my losses and moved on. However, the experience I gained in that company served as the bedrock for whatever height I may reach today in my career. Even after then, I wasn't really good in programming. Never built a server then. Didn't even understand what a middleware is.

I secured a job in Lagos that pays me 100k as a mobile app developer (Flutter). That year was very tough year for me. My girlfriend got pregnant. I did my wedding. Got a baby girl and also got some debts on my neck. Loan apps wan finish me with insults. In 6 months, my salary increased to 150k. After one year, I switched companies. The new company started with the same salary because I didn't know how to negotiate salary. After 6 months, it was increased to 180k, but I was still disgruntled with the salary. Please learn the art of negotiating salary, regardless of the field you may found yourself.

I got an email asking me if I'm still interested in a job that I can't even remember when I applied for it. Of course, I'm still interested. Na you I dey wait for since all these days sef. So the CEO of the company arranged a meeting with me, interviewed me to see if I'm a culture fit. I no dey fail behavioural interviews again since I don fvck up for one behavioural interview lai dat. Next, i was sent a technical take-home assignment to do. That assignment mad. It took me 9 days of intense reading and 9 nights of sleepless night + frustration to solve the question. I finally completed it and sent them my solution. I interviewed with the CTO and the lead engineer. They loved the way I approached my solution, as well as the quality of my code. My code SOLID kpa.

Well, I got the job. The payment is $1800. That's like 1.2 million monthly in Naira, using the black market rate. It was an unbelievable success. Who I be? Me wey be customer of various loan apps. My first ever salary was 7k. Spent five years before I could gain admission into the university. Spent another 5 years studying a 4-year course. My dad was a driver. My mum, a petty trader. I grew up in the trenches. Face-me-I-slap-you house story dey there. That one na season film. Trekking over 1 hour everyday to school dey there. Story for another day. Factory work palava nkor, abi na my labourer/bricklayer parole I wan talk. I've faced the hard life. I've faced the tough times. I've faced the bad days. I've persevered through them all. Grace found my preparations and sent me an opportunity, so people can call it luck.

No be me holy pass but I call myself the epitome of Grace. Started from the bottom, now I'm here.

CaveAdullam:
1. Such is life for you: some have it good from birth till death; others have it good at the middle, and the rest remain in perpetual penury.

2. It is why all religions hope and await judgment day and after that day, a life of peace, harmony, and comfort in eternity is guaranteed.

3. Life is full of ups and downs, sometimes we are victims of problems we never caused while at other times we are victims of our problems because of our mistakes or wrong strategies.

4. There is simply nothing you can do about it. This is life, welcome to life. We are in a world where incentives rules: if I'm not going to gain, ain't doing it and if I'm to lose, why should I even bother?

5. No matter how much you preach good, evil will persists in a world where morality, amorality, and immorality are in a close-a-door caucus meeting in the hearts of every man that breathes.

Don't be deceived, your pastor or imam will play whatever card that will give him more incentives or at least minimize his loss even if it means playing the immoral card. Those that claim explicit morality, and virtue signallers are criminals behind the scenes.

6. Evil continues to persist because good always finds a way to adjust and keep on moving. These are the C's students in colleges, they just want to pass and get promoted, unlike the A's students who want to binge on every higher score.

7. Good people have never for once, thought of leveraging the violence, ruthlessness, and cunning of evil to manifest good in a larger dimension. They are the nice men and nice women, the sheep-like religious adherents that get both faces messed up with hard slaps.

8. Evil persists because it is leveraging on a potent tool that is required by good. Woke and progressive cultures are successful because of this simple fact. The more violent and ruthless win. Life doesn't care about who is good or bad, it is those in charge that matter. Going further, Jesus Christ said, "the children of the world are wiser than the children of light".

That's why in the Christian circle, "the violent take it by force" if the kingdom of God - a symbol of peace, hope, prosperity, and unity suffers evil violence.

9. Under the clouds of the earth, we are under the control of factors beyond our control. Life doesn't care about your determination and ambitions; if they don't meander in the same pathway as life, you'll end up despondent, and you my friend is at this junction.

10. Probably, you have not done evil or involve in a dirty crime, but here you are getting stripped of every hope and ambition you once had. My friend, welcome to life, things don't always go as planned. Refer to 9 above.

11. Don't launch into complaints, murmuring, and lamentations because if you do, you are adding more tinctures of pains to your predicaments. Evil and good will continue to persist. What you need to do is to maneuver across the hurdles life has presented along your paths. Refer to 5 and 9 above.

12. You and I are on death ground. We are facing a wall, and it's impossible to pass through. This is the place life has brought us and it is high time we turn our backs to the wall and fight the war that has been chasing us and that we've been postponing through hope, faith, and prayer. Remember: "the violent take it by force". Refer to 8 above.

13. We are not only victims of our mistakes but our resolutions, our big dreams, and ambitions; these are important, but in life, you plan with reality creating a chance for flexibility and adaptability. "Power of positive thinking or think big" will not help you when life is going left and you are going right. Things don't go that way.

14. You can always achieve anything you want to achieve in life, but think about reality first and the newer tools you'll use in achieving it when things don't go as planned. Nothing is impossible, however, time, chance, knowledge, energy, life, and patience happen to them all. Refer to 13 above.

15. Setting unnecessary resolutions without thinking about the style and shape every dawn will take is a contribution to our depression when we don't meet up.

We all want to get married, own a house, a large farm, 5 wives and 30 grandchildren by age 70 but neglected the political, environmental, and socioeconomic terrain - these are what matter, not our hopes or ambitions.

It dawns on us all as life begins to take several kicks and blows on us. And by that time, we are weak and anxious.

16. At the end of the day, you'll come to ask yourself: do this life worth all these struggles?

Some will experience the pain and seek nihilism while others will become philanthropic. It all depends on the angle you are viewing things from.

However, if life doesn't have something good for you even though it is minute, it would not have produced you. You are either here to create beauty or enjoy the beauty or pass beauty. Life my friend is beautiful once you understand the nature of things and their mechanism.

17. You are perishing because you lack knowledge, but once you seek that specific knowledge you will experience prosperity in a crescendo.

18. Cut down on your ego. Since ego hasn't helped you, it is time to cut down on it so that you'll not be blinded by it and not do things that are capable of bringing you prosperity and beauty.

19. Don't look for encouragement, my friend. Look for quality knowledge.

20. No longer waste time on things and people that matter less. Look for good connections. Seek and you shall find.

21. Don't relent. Sow here and there, you don't know which will bear good fruits.

22. Swing into action. This war will not kill you. You will come out as a winner only if you will fight.

Run, run, run my friend. See you on the last lap.

Thanks.

When #Ronaldino, one of the greatest #footballers of our time was arrested alongside his brother Roberto Assis over fake Passport issue in #Paraguay and detained at Agrupacion Especializida Maximum security prison for 32 days, only two players visited him; that is Samuel Eto'o and Paraguay International Nelson Cuevas.

Later, E'too would call every evening to know how he was faring and gave him hope that things would be okay. Not even his mom, wife or siblings would do that.

After pleading guilty to the charges, the two were fined £20,000 plus legal charges totalling to £27,000.

When he informed Eto’o about the sentence and the huge fine, Eto’o responded " Don't worry bro, I will take care of everything," and he wired the money so that Ronaldino could be released.

Of all prominent friends #Ronaldinho made at the peak of his career, only that #African that was once called a " monkey" by racist #Spanish and #Italian fans was there for him.

Often, the fellows hanging around you today masquerading as big friends may not be there for you tomorrow. But there will always be one that will be more than a family to us - a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Friendship is tested by ability to stand by each other at the hour of need.

It's in you lowest moments in life that you know your true friends. May God help us to know our real friends!

Education › Re: The Free Education Era In Nigeria by sageb: 9:21am On Oct 03, 2022
MolaraFoundatn:
The emergence of Free education in Nigeria
In 1955, the government of the Western Region of Nigeria introduced a free primary education programme. That scheme suffered a fatal blow following the military takeover of the government in 1966. However, the programme left an indelible imprint on education in Western Nigeria and the country.

The Universal Basic Education (UBE) Programme was introduced in 1999 by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a reform programme aimed at providing greater access to and ensuring the quality of education throughout Nigeria. Under the programme, the Federal Government assists the States and Local Governments in Nigeria with uniform and qualitative education throughout Nigeria. The UBE shall provide free, compulsory, and universal basic education for every child that reaches primary and junior secondary school age.

Advantages of Free education in Nigeria
The UBE programme has brought about equity and equality of opportunity in education.
Poor children have access to the formal education that they deserve.

It also provides educational opportunities for rural dwellers, so they do not need to migrate to urban areas or towns in search of education.
The policy is for the entire nation. This decision means it covers the populace, unlike when the states or other levels of government handle it.
The programme has contributed immensely to reducing illiteracy and increasing the country's literacy rate.

It has also helped reduce the crime rates in rural areas by providing occupations for uneducated people.
It has also increased the living standards of people through the provision of employment opportunities.

Challenges of Universal Basic Education in Nigeria
Lack of Adequate funds
Misappropriation of available funds
Lack of qualified and trained personnel
Corruption, lack of integrity, nepotism, and favouritism
Improper inspection
Lack of proper planning and management

Free Education is not just a means to an end. It is an enabler of human development
"Education and Democracy have the same goal; the fullest possible development of human capabilities."

The human mind makes possible all developments, from health advances and agricultural innovations to efficient public administration and private sector growth. Countries can only reap the benefits of the human mind by utilising education to unleash its potential. Therefore, education is a crucial component of human development.

Free Quality Education is a gamechanger
Free quality education is expensive and resource intensive especially because education is a continuous process. However, the rewards are exceedingly greater than the cost. Thus, the government must commit resources to supporting the vast majority of low-income beneficiaries.Nigeria’s record in the education sector remains dismal but with a more goal-oriented approach to free education, it could inspire more decisive actions to improve the entire education system.
Truly, Awolowo was a great leader.

I thank Him for not allowing me to die yet in this hopeless Nigeria.

I thank Him for still keeping my breathe safe, even though it's hanging like a thread.

I thank God for giving me hope, even though the light at the bottom does not blink anymore.

I thank God for surviving grueling moments I feel like giving up.

I thank God for healing me of almost fatal health condition in 2020.

I thank God for making me a Lawyer, even though I am still looking for the means to get an office in the town where I reside.

I thank God for fighting my wars, Lost friends, acquaintances and relations but I stand strong.

I thank God though I graduated at 21 and not making major headway yet even at 35; some of my old friends and folks are dead, amputated and our best and most outstanding student way back in High school is now a lunatic.

I thank God despite all the gang up and efforts of enemies to run me down ,I still stand strong.

I thank God ,though I have no one , relation , friend, folks at my corner, I am reassuringly safe with the most High.

I thank God that he will send my genuine benefactor and someone who will come through for me on this forum.

I thank God because he will not leave or desert me to be swallowed by enemies and will order my path forevermore.
Amen
May the Lord see you through.

In our mothers time, when THE WOMAN dressed covering their entire body, she was revered and longed-for by men because, men were curious to know/see how she was under the long gowns she wore, wrappers that went beyond her knee cap or long skirts with tops whose neckline was up to their collar bone, thereby giving no room for the cleavage to be exposed. She was respected because She was MYSTERY. Men did anything there is to get married to them - fighting their fellow men was no exception (you dare not fight your fellow man for a woman today).

No man could conclude or imagine what She will be like in the other room by mere looking at her.

With indecency as the norm in our society today, where morals degrade with time, while uncouthness is glorified and touted as being woke; our soon to be 'wives' in the quest for cheap fame and short term relevance on social media, now go all out to portray their already flabby breast which they achieved in their teens to the world. Do I need to say that Private parts are no longer private?

Married 'women' are not left out of this craze for cheap likes with a little touch of "beautiful ANGLE" in their comment section by some demented men who have lost their sense of pride.

These set of people have demystified THE WOMAN. They have melt the wax of marriage with the flame of indecency.

The modern day WOMAN is now a commodity where men pay to see what she looks like at a go. Men are no longer curious, because they have seen all there is.

What else would a man want to do with THE WOMAN except procreation?

With promiscuity on the rise, it will only get worse as no man would want to wife a promiscuous woman.

The Bible book of Isaiah 4 will come to pass soonest because, men have lost interest in marrying THE WOMAN.

Mystery births curiosity, curiosity births adventure.

The WOMAN that lived in our mother's time were MYSTERY.

The modern day WOMAN is not mysterious.
