Just after that first coup. I mean that Nigeria coup led by Kaduna Nzeogwu in collaboration with many other soldiers from other ethnic groups and tribes, came the counter coup led by Northern officers who branded the first coup Igbo coup.
They killed the head of state in the person of Aguiyi Ironsi. Ironsi was killed in the most barbaric way by those barbarians. They tied him on a military jeep and had him dragged along the road until he died. Ironsi is an Igbo man. Those barbarians which has the current Nigeria civilian president as one of them gathered Igbo and other Eastern soldiers together, disarmed them and had them killed. Same happened in the police, And other organizations. These killings didn't quench their taste for blood. They headed to the airports and shot everyone they met in that airport that is from Eastern Nigeria.
Did they stop? No they didn't. Their people joined them. Civilians joined in the killing. Owing to the number of Igbos and other Easterners killed in the North, it won't be a mistake to say that 85% of northerners in 1966 were all murderers. When I say Northerners I mean both core North and middle belt. They marched out and killed every Igbo man and everybody that looked like Igbo in the entire North. Gowon who took over as a military head watched as more than 700,000 Easterners were horrendously butchered to death.
So my dear Igbos currently in the north, this was how it happened. I knew you never had opportunity with history. I was lucky, I did history for 6years. So am telling no fairytales. Don't say you are not in the North, that you are in the Middle Belt. Don't just commit suicide brothers. These people were Christians in 1966 when they stopped Igbos in Benue Bridge returning from core North and massacred them all. Sad, yes, but its true. They were still Christians today when Arewa youths threatened to kill Igbos and take their properties in all the 19 northern states and they kept quiet.
This people are not Oba of Lagos or Yorubas who joked with throwing us into the lagoon if we vote against the candidates they wanted in Lagos. Brothers these people are ruthless, evil, and barbaric. They are terror minded people. A people that can kill 800 of their own in a night can do worse and there will be no world outcry. Remember, Nigeria life doesn't matter to UN as far as their illegal businesses are going on. And they will always support the North because they are the reason they are still in business.
Start now to prepare. See whoever that is telling you to continue going about your business in the North as the enemy. The South Eastern governors that failed to defend you against Fulani herdsmen in Biafra Land can't be assuring you of safety in a faraway land like Kano. Think brothers, think.
I know relocating won't be easy, but life is the best. Will you rather die?
Start proper documentation of your properties. Send other things home. Bring back children. We have enough schools here. Those in higher institutions should start making move for proper transfer. Are you an Igbo corp member reading me right now, and you are presently in the orientation camp anywhere in the North, please start relocation arraignment before Monday you will be leaving camp.
We died in 1966, we won't die in 2017.
A word is enough for the wise.
hmm 6years reading Nigerian history but u hv never come across a coup dat Abubakar tafawa, Amadu bello, akintola and others been killed and the president who is an agbo man was not killed
malton: I am dismayed by the decision of the various youth interest groups in Northern Nigeria to order all Igbos out of the region.
Not only is the conclusion callous and uncalled for, but it could be a precursor to war. Moreover, the attempt to impose their silly ruling on all the 19 states comprising northern Nigeria is laughable. Some nonentities cannot sit in Kaduna and exert upon an entire zone the full impact of their negative influence for such purposes as they see fit and by such measures, as they deem fit, whatever it may have been induced by.
Having come from a state that is seven years out of one of Nigeria's most violent sectarian crises, I must admit that we have seen too much war to want some of that ever again.
Furthermore, we have shared too much in the Igbo man's quest for self-reliance, independence, equality of opportunity, justice, charity and co-operation on top of their vision of economic abundance inspired by their ever-imposing productivity, technical skills, and commitment, to stand by as some youths whose mental state of health we are not sure of, make an attempt on their lives or properties. We say no to bloodshed on our lands.
A lot of Igbo youths have represented Plateau State at various times in our storied history and have done this so well. We have lived peacefully for years and have no reason whatsoever to demand change. More so, we are smart enough to know not to punish Eze in Jos for the 'sins' of Ikechukwu in Aba. Their words and actions are unrelated and everyone should be treated as they deserve.
In Plateau, we believe in equality for all, regardless of tribal differences. Consequent upon this, the life of an Igbo man is no less than that of a Ngas, Taroh, Berom, Mwaghavwul, Mushere, Irigwe, Afizere, or Jarawa person. To this end, no blood-thirsty individual should even seek to visit carnage upon our lands. All we want is peace and security of all lives and properties.
We may be situated in the north, but we do not subscribe to your barbaric tendencies or share your hateful views, especially not towards those who have brought nothing but growth and progress to our dear state. The Igbo people are peace-loving citizens of Jos and its environs. Any attempt to cause harm to any of them will see the offenders leave first, one way or another. No Citizen of Plateau State origin will want harm done to any southerner resident in the state.
Our lands are not slaughterhouses.
I believe I speak the minds of most middle-beltan youths on this subject, especially those of our brothers and sisters in Benue, Kogi, Nasarawa, Taraba, Southern Bauchi, Southern Kaduna, and Kwara.
To us all, the "Kaduna Declaration" catchphrase is nothing more than a myth, a fantasy, and a delusion. Keep that shiit out of our lands!
All we want is development.

I may be just one person, but I speak the minds of my people. Thank you.
BIAFRA: North love your strugles only if you accept to do the following.... Dear biafrans, We support ur struggle 100% but our problem is ur approach. We would want to suggest the following procedures and we can assure u it's going to work out successfully. if u can unite and follow the following steps then, we can welcome the Republic of Biafra in advance. STEP 1 withdraw all ur services from Nigeria and render the Nigerians economically dormant as u are the backbone of the country. STEP 2 Withdraw your kinsmen who are public office holders e.g Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president, Peter Obi the D.G of S.E.C. STEP 3 Reject all the ministerial nominations from the so called Nigeria. STEP 4 Endeavour to reject Federal Allocation. u re very industrious people u will be better off without it. STEP 5 Stop all form of importation through the Nigerian sea ports so that Nigeria will crumble without ur Tax. STEP 6 Recall all your sons and daughters from all parts of Nigeria to relocate to home untill this fight is over then Nigeria can beg them to come back as expatriates. STEP 7 Lock up all ur shops in idumota, Alaba international, Kano main market, and every other market even in the remote villages accross the country. STEP 8 Go beyond closing of the Niger bridge, stop all Nigerians from buying or selling in Onitsha Main market or Ariaria market in Aba. STEP 9 Make sure u make ur Visa very hard for Nigerians. STEP 10 This fight can be achieved without Violence just like South Sudan. Finally, make sure u dont fight it with weapons. Igbo kwenu!!! hee! Forward as received! !!
mega411: Asking the igbos to vacate the north is unconstitutional as long as Nigeria still exist as one political entity, it does not matter what manner of insults the igbos has thrown at the northerners, and the fact that the grazing bill was rejected is as a result of the behaviour of these herdsmen, which is really nothing to write home about, it has nothing to do with the agitation of the igbo people for the secession of Nigeria. If Nigeria constitution stipulates that every Nigerian reserves the right to free movement and legal business activities across Nigeria, and a group of northerners directly go against this constitution; this should be treated as declaration of war against Nigeria not against the igbos.
no more grazing in d southern region cos of there behavior, but armrobbers are constitutionally allowed to stay in d north right?
Biafrawillcome: Nnamdi Kanu, on Wednesday, through the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign States of Biafra, MASSOB, has appealed to Igbos in the North, to start returning back to the South-East. MASSOB, said the eviction order was issued, because Northerners were marveled at the compliance to the sit-at-home order. Recall, that the North had given the Igbos residing in the North, a three-month’s ultimatum, to quit the North, or face bloodshed. Speaking with The Sun, Leader of MASSOB, Uchenna Madu, urged the Igbos, not to wait for the three months quit notice to expire, before they vacate the region. Appealing to Igbos to re-invest in the South-East, Madu said: “MASSOB is aware that such rascality will happen. As a matter of fact, this is the only rascality exhibited by sponsored Arewa youths, to forcefully exit the people of Biafra residing in Arewa land, that MASSOB will 100 percent support. “Their Boko Haram tactics didn’t work as planned. We pledge our total support towards this divinely approved quit notice. CLICK ON THE CONTINUE READING BUTTON BELOW TO READ MORE “MASSOB congratulates the Arewa political, religious, traditional, and opinion leaders, who sponsored their youths wing by using Arewa House in Kaduna, for this greatest meeting of a coalition of Islamic fundamentalists. “As there is no other alternative to stop Biafra freedom, the Northern leaders have resorted to using their youth’s wing to start terrorising the people of Biafra living in the Northern region. “What they saw during the sit-at-home exercise to mark the 50th anniversary celebration of Biafra declaration by General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu marveled them, irrespective of the promises made to them by their stooges in Biafra land. “MASSOB urges our people to start returning home now. Don’t wait till the three months for the quit notice to expire. MASSOB is begging our people to re-invest their investments back to Biafra land. https://maynaija.com/just-northerners-afraid-us-start-running-back-home-nnamdi-kanu-declares-total-war-igbos-begins-mass-exodus/
ote author=theemy post=57341468]The coalition of northern youths have continued to threaten Igbos living in the northern part of Nigeria
- Igbos have been threaten to leave the north or face the consequences
- Calls have been made by Nasir El-Rufai and other governors in the north, seeking the arrest of those threatening the Igbos
- To the peoples' dismay, no arrest has been made by the Nigerian Police Force
Emerging reports suggest that the police, on Thursday, June 8, failed to carry out a directive by the Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, to arrest some northern youths, who issued a three-month ultimatum for the Igbo resident in the area to quit the region.
The groups had, on Tuesday, June 6, issued a three-month ultimatum to people of Igbo extraction, resident in the 19 states in the North, to leave or be forced out before October 1, 2017.
A prepared text of a press conference addressed by the groups was signed by the leaders of the various groups.
Those who signed the groups’ statement are Nastura Sharif (Arewa Citizens Action for Change); Amb. ShettimaYerima (Arewa Youth Consultative Forum); Aminu Adam (Arewa Youth Development Foundation); Alfred Solomon (Arewa Students Forum); Abdul-Azeez Suleiman (Northern Emancipation Network) as well as Joshua Viashman (Northern Youth Vanguard).
“We are also telling our brothers (northerners) out there in the South-East to get prepared to come back home,” Yerima had said.
The National President of the Northern Emancipation Network, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, who read the text of the press conference, alleged that the Igbo had become a threat to the unity of the country.
The Force Headquarters spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, in an interview with newsmen, said the police were still searching for the northern youths who issued the ultimatum.
On Wednesday, El-Rufai had ordered the immediate arrest and prosecution of the leaders, saying the call by the groups could destabilize the country.
But while the police said they had yet to make any arrest, the youth in a statement on Thursday dared the force by insisting on their ultimatum.
They, however, said they had no plan to resort to violence.
Explaining the efforts of the police to arrest the youth leaders, the police spokesman stated that police operatives were “looking for them.”
“We are looking for them. They are not sitting in the market waiting to be picked up,” he said.
According to Sahara Reporters, when asked how long it would take to nab the youth leaders, Moshood said he was issuing a statement that would address the issues.
The Kaduna police command spokesman, Aliyu Usman, said there was no update on the matter.
“We have no statement to make, if there is any development, I will tell you. No arrest yet,” he said.
When asked if the police were reluctant to arrest the youths, Usman simply said he would speak when there was an update.
Also, the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, while responding to questions from journalists at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, on Thursday, said the police had yet to arrest the northern youth leaders.
Idris spoke during his monthly conference with assistant inspectors-general of police, commissioners of police and other senior officers.
The IGP stated, “We have no arrest yet. As Commissioners of Police and Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, we have the responsibility to stop this group of persons from carrying out their threats.
“I want us to be at alert to ensure that such persons or groups were stopped at all cost from carrying out their threats. No individual has the authority to stop anybody from looking for his daily bread.”
In a statement late on Thursday, the police called on Igbo in the North to disregard the ultimatum by the northern youths.
The statement by the Force spokesman, Moshood, was however silent on the expected arrest of the group members for making inciting statements.
The force said it was monitoring closely the activities of the various northern youth groups, warning them against acts that could precipitate tension and violence.
Will the Arewa leaders be arrested as they arrested Nnamdi Kanu?
Reacting to the controversial situation on ground, former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, said the development would go a long way in defining the kind of politics that holds sway in Nigeria at the moment.
Omokri took to his Facebook account saying: "The press conference where Igbos were asked to quit the North was held at Arewa House.
To those who do not know what Arewa House is, go and research it. It is almost impossible to hold a press conference at Arewa House without the knowledge of the Kaduna State Government.
Is someone flying a kite? That being said, In 2015, Nnamdi Kanu was jailed by the Muhammadu Buhari administration for two years and charged with treason because he called for an independent state of Biafra. In 2005, Asari Dokubo was jailed for two years by the Olusegun Obasanjo administration and charged with treason because he called for self determination of the Niger-Delta.
In 1993 and 1996 the Abacha administration jailed Gani Fawehinmi for months and charged him with treasonable offenses (holding a political rally against the government).
Nigerians are waiting to see if the same treatment will be meted out to Alhaji Yerima Shettima, President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, who has also committed an act of treason by declaring war on Nigerian citizens of Southeast origin when he and his group ordered them to leave Northern Nigeria.
If he is treated with kid gloves then we will know that President Buhari meant what he said about treating 97 percenters differently from 5 percenters.
Addressing the weakness of the police
Following its failure to arrest leaders of the Arewa youths and northern youths coalition, Omokri said the police are not being fair in their dissemination of justice.
He said: "The funniest thing I have read in a long time is the warning by the Nigerian Police Force to the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum to "to desist forthwith the ultimatum"!
Can you imagine that? Did the Nigerian government ask Nnamdi Kanu to 'desist' or did they arrest and charge him?
So why warning Arewa Youth Consultative Forum and its leader? When people commit treason you arrest and prosecute them, you don't warn them to desist. Or is it that there is one law for Nnamdi Kanu, Asari Dokubo, Gani Fawehinmi, Beko Kuti and co and another law for Alhaji Shettima Yerima and his Arewa Youth Consultative Forum?
It took less than 24 hours for the man who named his dog 'Buhari' to be arrested. But all that the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum gets after 48 hours is a warning by the Nigerian Police Force under President Muhammadu Buhari."[/quote]stop thinking about arrest, just relocate
TheFreeOne: Let the UN call for a referendum since northerners have through their youths up the ante in the mind / political game of chess going on in Nigeria and other regions shouldn't be caught napping.
What those who believe they owned Nigeria couldn't get via their recent jettisoned coup scare is what they'll attempt to achieve through unscrupulous emergency and declaration of martial law if the chance prepared itself and of which they are stoking its fires.
However they'll get their fingers burned eventually if they think by truncating civilian rule to extend their evil hegemony their 'ironclad one Nigeria' will still hold.
Isn't it ironic and laughable that northerners are the ones giving quit notices when they ought to be the people deserving of a red card? If northerners are serious about the referendum then it should be for all to determine/negotiate the basis of our continued coexistence.
Kanu set the ball rolling so let southerners seize the moment cos 'that day' in history beckons. -------
