Somebody in Australia told me and my friend that you can convert a tourist visa to a student visa while you're in Australia. That it was a new law in Australia. I doubted this but my friend insisted it may true. So I want to find out if this is true. Thanks.

This is not the type of competition nigeria needs. This will be an unhealthy competition because the likes of francophone countries don’t produce anything. They only import from France and Belgium only to look for the economy where they will dump it.

So in essence, Nigerian products will not be competing with other African products but European products indirectly.

South African products are also superior to Nigeria’s so there’s hardly anything we can send to them to buy. Even with tariffs and all, Nigerians will still prefer South African or Europe produced products(francophone). If you now remove the tariffs, It will only be a one way traffic.

Ignorance at its peak! Do you know how FTAs or RTAs work? In FTA, there is what they call Rules of origin (ROO). Rules of origin are the criteria needed to determine the national source of a product so that what you are insinuating will not happen. I don't think Nigeria did well by not signing the deal especially in this period where the WTO is comatose as a result of failure to reach agreement in the Doha Rounds. FTAs or RTAs is good as it creates jobs and opens up an economy for rapid development.

You know officially there is no age limit (though some universities have) for admission for UG, but many times embassies deny visa for this reason. Believe me, it is not advisable for him to go for UG. It is a big risk but I'm not saying it is impossible!

Don't even try it, they will surely deny you a visa! At 36, they expect you to go for your PhD. if it is masters, you don't have a problem. Don't wast your money. If you're above 25, it is not advisable to apply for undergraduate studies. Exercise patience man

Hahahahhaahaaha I was so surprised when I saw the previous thread and I was like Kazakhstan kwa? A very poor country that is not better than Nigeria. Here in Korea, they are many doing odd jobs, overstaying their visas and running away from immigration because they don't want to go back to their country. I have many of them in my language class and I know how they live here. I keep telling people to always research a country before travelling out because some of these countries are worse off than Nigeria! You see Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and all other former Soviet Union countries, and all South Asian countries, East European countries, run away from them. Even Russia, run away, they are many here doing odd jobs. Na who no go no know, and who no know no go. I will advise you to just come back to Nigeria, forget about the shame, you will overcome it. It is better than wasting time there. Come back and arrange yourself and travel to a good country with a good economic prospect. As big as Asia is, the only two countries I will advise somebody to go is South Korea and Japan if your aim is to work and make money, China if your aim is for business, Singapore is also good but it is a city-level country and they usually hire high-level professionals in IT and finance industry. All other Asian countries are a waste of time and resources!

my Original Waec certificate has been laminated, i know a seal cannot be placed on a lamination. Bit i'm wondering if i can photocopy the the cert like 10 copies and get them authenticated to avoid visiting the MOFA anytime i will need an authenticated cert, or anybody with a better suggestion should help out please.
You can also send a contact of a MOFA offical that can give advice with regards to this.. Thanks

Just take your laminated certificate there, they will open it up from the back and put their seal. You can take as many photocopies as you wish insofar you will pay for them. Remember, you will first of all go to the Ministry of education for legalisation before going to the Ministry of foreign affairs for authentication.
