A woman's dead body was found eaten by dogs in her home, following complaints about a "bad smell".

Police were called to a property in the Airport neighbourhood, in the city of Santa Rosa, Argentina, following reports from neighbours about a "nauseous smell" coming from the house for a week.

When they entered the home, on December 31, they discovered the body of Ana Inés de Marotte, who had been partially eaten by her five dogs.

According to the Infopico site, the 67-year-old woman had been declared "disappeared" during the second week of December, but was found in the Santa Rosa Sanatorium and released that same day.

She had gone to the Santa Rosa Sanatorium to treat a medical condition and she had been admitted without having relatives in the city.

Following her discharge, Marotte returned to her home and was found dead a week later with her dogs trapped in the house with her.

According to commissioner Fernando Martín Cortez, of the Second Section of Santa Rosa, the police were called to the house due to the nauseating smell that was in the place. Upon entering the room, they found Marotte lifeless on the floor.

Prosecutor Óscar Alfredo Cazenave confirmed that the victim died of cardiorespiratory arrest and that the dogs had eaten part of her face and ears after her death.

Elon Musk says Twitter users will soon be able to bold and italicise words.

The billionaire has been bringing in several changes to Twitter following his $44-billion takeover last year.

While some changes, such as the monetisation of the blue tick, might not be appreciated by everyone, some changes are handy and demanded by users for years.

One of them is the ability to post texts in bold and italics.

Musk confirmed that this feature could be introduced soon.

On Monday, Jan. 9, user @greg16676835420, who is an investor and creator of the NFT collection called "The Multiverse of gregs", tweeted that Musk had said that users will "soon be able" to bold and italicize on Twitter.

Musk then replied: "Any minute now."

At the moment, users can post tweets in bold and italics, but only via a third-party tool.

The majority leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Olawoyin Abubakar Magaji is dead.

57-year-old Olawoyin, who represented Ilorin Central Constituency on the ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, died on Monday morning, January 9, 2023, after a brief illness.

The Chairman, House Committee on Information, Youth, Sports and Tourism, Awolola Olamide Ayokunle, confirmed the death in a statement in Ilorin on Monday.

"The House announces with regret the demise of Hon. Magaji Olawoyin, member representing Ilorin Central State Constituency and Leader of the House," the statement read.

“The sudden event occurred in the early hours of Monday 9th January, 2023 after a brief illness. Janazah will hold at 4pm at Magajin Geri family house, Surulere, Ilorin. May Allah repose his soul in Jannatu Firdauz,"

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe has declared Monday, and Tuesday as public holidays to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari to the state.

This was disclosed in a statement by the state Head of Service, Alhaji Garba Bilal, in Damaturu on Sunday.

It was revealed that Buhari will be visiting the state to inaugurate projects, including Cargo Airport, Ultra-Modern Market, and Maternal and Child Health Care Complex.

Bilal said, “ this is to enable civil servants and the general public to receive the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who will be in the state on a one-day State Visit to commission projects.”

He, however, said civil servants are to resume work on Wednesday January 11.
