Wike needs to be reminded that Osun state has no godfather politically there are only big figures here and there but no single political lord. They voted for Oyinlola against sitting Akande, voted for Aregbesola against sitting Oyinlola under ruthless Obj as the then president so doing it again for Adeleke is not out of place.

It can not be more brutal than Oyinlola vs Aregbesola though it was delayed yet, people still won.

This is exercise in futility. Trump himself is having criminal case hanging on his neck, Epstein file is doing press up and many more crimes he has been tagged lately. If despite committing crime against Americans in America, and was even indicted, he contested primary and won, contested the main election against 'Clean' Kamala Harris and won and was later sworn in, then this Tinubu case is a personal case with America that doesn't involve Nigeria as a country besides , he currently has immunity and cannot be sued neither did he commit the crime as a president to warrant suing his office.
This is one of the weakness of the opposition that will give Tinubu cheap victory.

Opposition needs to have a united front, start marketing their candidate vigorously, shouting what they will do differently and how it's going to yield obvious results in real time, how their government trajectory will be evaluated for performance etc and not running after Tinubu case files in America

There's actually no problem here. He did the right thing. He's a candidate that needs to mobilize people for elections. There's a need for someone competent and not contesting to take the lead for maximum efficiency.

I love it when APC apologists are sleeping on bicycle. The reason they killed all opposition is very clear, no matter be their strategy, they stand no chance against a formidable opposition; at least Adeleke has proven that.

So, all it takes to deliver Nigeria in 2027 is a unified opposition and the deal will be done.

To me the difference between Tinubu and Obj is the difference between six and half a dozen. Hardly is there any adjective you can use for one that doesn't fit the other.
It is so unfortunate that the real brains in southwest couldn't get to rule Nigeria.

To answer your question, it was a result of being subsumed on self-centeredness that made Obj made that mistake against Jonathan. He never envisaged Tinubu climbing this high.

He's not a dictator in the making, he's already a full blown one. He's moving towards becoming a tyranny. So many governors are currently afraid of him, the reason they ran to him now. But, last time I checked Christmas is only once in a year.

3. It may expose him because any issue they hold onto to upturn Adeleke victory may become a point of attack against him and who say the judges can't go rogue to use it to redeem their destroyed image!

The question is, can you win the election on your own without their support? Tinubu should expect similar anti-party moves from states where he has strong-armed governors to defect to the APC and handed over party structures to them to the detriment of existing older members. The newly defected governors will be too busy convincing their people to vote them in their new party (APC) for them to find the time to campaign for Tinubu.
