Omalicious1:Please kindly come off it. There's a deceit in it further beginning. That low income earners are exempted. please what is the definition of low income earners because the people collecting the minimum wage of #70000 will still pay tax or didn't you do the mathematics: #70000*12 = #840000. The exempted threshold is #800000 and they are shouting low income earners are exempted,so who are the low income earners if the most miserably paid government worker is being taxed? Let's stop deceiving ourselves and ask for sincerity and accountability. Payment of tax is not a problem but the deceit and corruption in governance |
blackmantis:This is one of the reasons I'm advocating Jonathan/Kwankwaso ticket. Jonathan doing a single term is not negotiable so north will support him massively also, he's not politically strong to alter their politicking, he will only mind his administration unlike Tinubu that will want to plant his stooge. South south and southeast will be on the lockdown for him while southwest will be divided. If that ticket comes up under any party, I give it 60% success. Now Tinubu want to bring RMK into APC to make him not available. As a liberal but concerned Nigerian, we are watching |
As far as I'm concerned, it is better than killing the boy on retaliation. Since, the parents couldn't discipline their son properly and the boy grow up not to know boundaries between play and crime, then let them share the punishment. If we enact and practice this kind of law for a decade, our society will become same back. I see the reason to commend that community |
Wike, please go to APC so that PDP can 'die'. Man is not God. Every man, no matter how influential, strong, powerful, rich... Has limitations... So Wike we want to celebrate your decamping to APC and celebrate the 'death' of PDP |
KingRabota:A great mind there. There can be revolution without protest, without placards without daring guns in the hands of the wicked foot soldiers. It all start by being politically aware, follow up things, develop the right questions and check out constitution who to ask what and when we are not getting the right answer what does the constitution empower is to do. If just 10% of Nigerians get this fire, the course of this country will change for better under 10 years. Understanding our citizenship rights under our constitution and be ready to take responsibility is the way forward |
I laugh..... We have not overcome ethnic bigotry introduced by our political class, We have not overcome religious bigotry introduced by the religious proxies of our politicians Now we want to introduce gender bigotry into the mix, Then, let's forget about future for this country because instead of coming together to solve a common problem we are choosing to be more divided in handling it. Those male corrupt officers are their wives and children not beneficiary of their corrupt proceeds? All the government moneys cornered by her husband has she not been enjoying it since? I don't have issue with female becoming whatever but at this point all we need is what will unite is to become a sane society first where everyone will be able to occupy posts based on merit and not parochial reasons. |
Eriokanmi:If we wait till 2027 before challenging them, we will still lose the battle. The best time is now. Let's find out these legislators that are on oil and gas related committees in tha NASS and drag them for accountability, initiate recall process on them by their various constituents for various misrepresentation offences, any other members supporting them, similar thing surface in his constituency, all of them will wake up and really start checking on the executives which is their duty. Social media is on our side, the constitution is on our side, let's wake up and unite to have a functional assembly that really represent people and see how governance will transform. |
For the NASS to be talking of regazetting, then, the executive is guilty as charged and we supposed to be talking about impeachment of the president by now for gross misconduct of economic coup against Nigerians while he ought to be begging the legislators for repassage of the laws in a transparent way to pacify Nigerians and we Nigerians will be appealing to the NASS to consider repassage of the bills so as not to heat up the policy too much on the request that those his foot soldiers that are directly involved are sent packing and replace with more trusted people by Nigerians, then, we move on with the tax policy. But, what do we have co+conspirators in the executives, mandate standers in the legislative and baba-sope in the judiciary. So, Nigerians have been scammed but all hope is not lost, whey we get angry, we learn to initiate recall process on these legislators. The strength of any democracy is the parliament, the parliament is the people. When we are ready to take our rightful position in governance, we will start enjoying government but for now let's be enjoying our hypocrisy |
Likely to have spiritual meaning. Now, if it's a former occupant who was a tenant there did it, then, no problem he would have gone with them because he will still need them in his new abode, but, if it's the landlord that did it there, then, you need to check if you know how to handle it, if not move on. But, all in all it's not too much a big deal to handle, it's all depends on you. |
SixSeven:This is a great submission. The earlier we removed emotions and learn to channel our grievances rightly through our assembly men and hold them accountable for the performance of the executives because they have oversight function over them, the better the government will be responsive to us |
saphiere:Whao, beautiful! But, with which English?? |
This is the reason I don't rate this ADC people and rooting for Jonathan. They are the people that brought Nigeria to this point before they recruit Tinubu to finish what they started, only for Tinubu to be calming down, now they are gaslighting him. Yes, the current president is evil but you people is not an alternative. Jonathan/Kwankwaso 2027 |
I hope those that are asking us to show evidence can finally crawl back to their holes It's simple, if there's no discrepancy between the CTC of the house and the gazetted one, why ordering for regazetting of the documents? But, alas! No one will serve the term for this crime against Nigerians. |
Now it is clear that there's a religious agenda against Nigeria. The Islamization plan for Nigeria was real, but, it's now obvious we serve a God that doesn't need people to defend him. Now, the end to that plan has started. |
If implemented as stated, then, I give him a big kudos on this one. All we need is a functioning Nigeria, I don't want my children grown up to join in dragging Nigeria president, rather for just mental exercise. |
In as much as I'm not holding brief for churches in Nigeria, it is a product of our society where asking for accountability is strange and is seen as witch-hunt, building structures that will mould principles and discipline in people is seen as outdated, being patient to learn the process that will birth the result instead of running after results is seen as taboo and sticking your neck out to ensure right thing is done rightly is taken as oversabi or e wan show say na him righteous pass. So, we crucify our messiah's and enthrone our pharaohs. Also, greater percentage of those criticizing the church are not part of it that's why some of their positions get glaring holes. Also, I've observed many people benefitting from the benevolence of some churches don't come out to say it, it's only those that observed inadequacy from afar that loud it, meanwhile, the rile of genuine giving on Christianity is that what your right hand is giving your left hand must not know, i.e it's not for show or mockery but genuine love so hardly will any good pastor come out and be listing those he had helped. There are so many doing lots of charity that you will never believe. As per as churches, I believe every church has a welfare system, if you are really part of it you will know how to access it. And if you find yourself on one that doesn't, simply gently introduce and give them time to structure it out. I'm trying to understand how a church will not have any system of encouragement and welfare for members |
Except I see Jonathan and maybe Kwankwaso as his VP on the ballot, no other ticket can give Tinubu a run for his money in 2027 election. Either they run differently or they coalesce, the flogging will be loud. We need to remove emotions and be logical with reality of we really want to send APC packing by 2027. Logically now, to contest against Tinubu in 2027, I'm yet to see a stronger ticket than Jonathan/Kwankwaso ticket. If you disagree, do your analysis from 1999 and let me see your suggestions. But we must not be careless to allow APC win in 2027. |
When it keeps appreciating till February ending that's when I will know it's not a fluke. We all know naira always gain around this time due to influx of dollars and remittances to families and friends at home from those abroad. Until then, fingers crossed |
obi4eze:Same thing they have been doing with our resources. Like #212 billion in Malami care, $5 million for foreign school fees, Bello #80 billion or so can't fully remember again etc |
helinues:Hope you read where tje the member that raised the issue said he spent three days comparing the versions. He is a member of the committee that worked on it so he ought to have it, I think other members of the house that were not members of the committee took up interest to know whether it is true or false, but now are denied that accessibility. It is well Nigeria |
If it's real, then the guy was not ready for marriage in the first place. The woman knows she can get at you with that so, she used what she can to get back at you. Just one year of marriage and she has read you finish like this to the extent you are crying... It is well. As a man, before you raise any issue consider both your price to pay if it go south or profit to make of it goes your way with that you will be able to select your fight and be in charge, she will respect you for that. Relate with emotions after processing it through with logic. Find out where she is greet her well, send her money for upkeep send her beautiful love sms, take your baby to daycare and replan your movement. With that she will even be scared of coming back home. |
crossfm:It is not only the judge that passed the sentence but a true reflection that our justice system is not a true reflection of our laws but on their whims and fancies. We need to wake up as concerned citizens. The saner climes we are talking about are products of various sacrifices of people that want to see what their society has become today. |
Nigeria has what it takes to own one or two of those stuffs. The money, idea, skill, market etc Maybe it's high time we fly ours. Nairaland could have almost get there but the owner never wanted it. |
Demons exist as spirit which can take any form at any time to actualize their plan or appear to someone along that person's spectrum of perception. They can even take the form of you op to appear to another to create a negative impression about you in that person. The word of God and the name of Jesus is the weapon against them. |
What ever rocks their boats. After all it's for their pockets and interest and not for the masses |
All I know is of Tinubu get second term, no Nigerian should complain and no one should insult Kogi state people for having the set of people they have as governors because it will that majority is not better than them |
Whao! This is great. Stupidity extraordinaire. So Kogi can get someone worse than Yahaya Bello as Nigeria get someone worse than Buhari. It is well |
Bluntemperor:Have you confirmed if the allegations are true or false? How can the president signed into law a different bill from the one passed by national assembly? This is a democratic tyranny and must not be allowed to stand if found to be true, if not it will come back to haunt all of us |
Host78:Whao! I thought I'm the only one that discovered that deceit. Because I'm still trying to see those that are really exempted from that bracket. If it was to have human face as they claim it ought not to be anything below #1m as tax free owning to the valuelessness of naira. |
I don't know either to call it a blessing to the people or curse?? |
Godfullsam:There's no accountability on the ones they have been collecting, no ripple effect of the subsidy removal on fuel, electricity, higher institution school fees etc. Also, the tax issue is cloudy, there was an accusation against the executive by the legislators who is constitutionally empowered to check them, instead of coming out to defend themselves, it was insult and gaslighting as of that's not enough we heard FIRS headquarters got gutted with fire. So, following the issue, it is very important for people to become apprehensive, it is the responsibility of a well-intentioned government to make clarification |
